    Hello I have a central vacuum system that uses tubes installed within the walls of my home but decided to buy the Gen5 Detect. Absolutely the BEST VACUUM ever. Mine was very expensive compare to Dyson Gen5 Detect. Now love my days of vacuuming. I enjoyed your presentation. Thank you!

    I love to use my 2 Dysons DC43 and V8 Absolute, but what I hate is the run time versus the battery charging time. Recharging simply takes hours.
    You would never accept this from a phone, tablet, EV car or whatever but for a vacuum cleaner you have. For an engineering company as Dyson is proud to mention, this is disappointing.
    OT: great video once again Andy, appreciate how much effort you put into your uploads!!

    My mom was so wowed by Dyson ads that when she moved to a new flat, she imported v15 detect to Poland before its official launch here. Guess I am a cheapskate because even though I earn more, my eye twitched when she told me the price. Sure the laser comes in handy, but after 2 or so years the particulate sensor crapped out. And it's apparently a widespread issue. So keep that in mind.

    Maybe it would just be me but I would research and seek the lightest vacuum cleaner that is the most effective, and not be attached to the brand. These are popping up on the market as mobile phones. So many and yet so similar in specs but huge price difference

      Exactly, it's the Dyson premium

      @@Sha-Ayo I have a knockoff vacuum cordless cleaner and I hit the trigger once, clean the floor, hit the trigger twice, and the thing goes off. So much more comfortable. I would never be able to gift a Dyson to my grandma's. Too heavy and not so easy to work with it

  • @bruninhamrso

    About the trigger. It is fine to have it but that you use it for on and then off but doesn't have to HOLD the trigger, it is tiring

    I am still using my V11 Absolute but like the idea of the button to turn on and off. I have zero interest in knowing the sizes of things that it picks up and to me that is just a gimmick to enable them to put the price up again. I could also do without the green laser effect as I would probably find it annoying and distracting.

    those who thinks that these are expensive forgot the older models are sold for cheaper price (v10 or even v8). I don’t think older vacuums are getting obsolete easily. Even the v8’s are rocking normally and have no reason to upgrade.

      @georgebalan6201 Год назад +1

      but that’s not the point- usually when a new model is released, the old models get a lower price. but with the gen5, older models like the v15 are just as expensive

  • @Greguk444

    £850! Wow! That price is just staggering for a vacuum. I have one I bought for a quarter of that price and it’s just as good in my opinion, but without the bells and whistles.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Год назад +2

      yes at £850 it is certainly an eye watering price

    • @CommonSenseAdult

      No different then buying anything else. You pay for the quality+name. Some items cost more simply because of the name. This logic can easily be applied to car buying. They all get you to your destination, but the McLaren, for example is a more enjoyable experience to some people then a budget car. Same with vacuums to some people. Not everything is for everyone. I for one would love to TRY a Dyson.

      @@CommonSenseAdult I’ve had 2 Dysons over the years (v6, v8) and they both broke after 2 years which doesn’t justify the high price, but I didn’t pay £850 back then.

    Do not buy ! The docking station clips together and once it is it’s impossible to remove the back plate to screw it back to the wall if the raw plugs become loose or you wish to relocate it. Telephoned Dyson. 30 minute wait then the advisor ended the call after 30 seconds with no help. Phoned again. Now it’s a 50 minute wait. Contacted the Dyson CEO several times. No reply. Used what’s app. No help or advice. £850 for that!
