When you let auto throttle take over I see the levers don't actually move so how do you know where to keep the lever both before engaging AT and where to put it before taking AT off? Does the computer tell you where in the arc to put the lever ?
After takeoff during climbout, the pilots will roll back the throttles to the CLIMB detent( its like a P or D slot in the gear stick of an automatic car; you can see this at 3:48) and once the autothrottle is engaged the airplane will manage the aircraft's speed all throughout the flight. Most of the time the throttles remain at the CLB detent for the duration of the flight until they are retarded on landing.
I agree with you. Its disappointing to see airlines not giving their pilots more chance to hone their flying skills by allowing more manual flight. It makes the job more boring and routine in my opinion
u just to let u know its a company policy when to engage the auto pilot, and u need to know the pilots still work a ton of stuff even after the autopilot is engaged
What’s the point of being a pilot if your just gonna put auto pilot straight after rotation🤦♂️, enjoy the flying!!! Fly manually as much as you can!! Not only is it fun but it keeps your skills maintained in case of any A/P failure
To be honest with you he is flying according to airline policy...and following standard operating procedure or known as SOP....thats not hes father in laws aircraft...he can do that in hes own piper or cessna...hope this helps

traineepilot57 yes it’s very disappointing, and in my opinion, it’s asking for another AF447 to happen (god forbid).

It’s the rules that pilots want to follow, safety comes before pleasure in flying!
Lol, rotate and takeoff for 10 seconds then turn on the autopilot
Middle eastern airlines in a nutshell
@@fatihinankeles590 but they’re better than most of the western airlines :)
