Our first Alaska cruise was on the Coral Princess in 2010 for our 30th wedding anniversary, where we did a 14 day land then sea south bound cruise from Anchorage. At that time it was our “trip of a lifetime”, especially in Juneau where we took the helicopter ride, landed on Mendenhall Glacier, walked the glacier and drank the water! Also, we were mesmerized by Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay, including the calving. What a sight! The whole experience with Princess for this trip was phenomenal. Princess does Alaska right.
Loved your video because in 80 days we are set to sail on the Crown Princess for our 43rd anniversary, where we will do a 16 day Transpacific Hawaii cruise. While we have been on many cruises, most on Royal, this will be our second time on Princess and our first cruise since the pandemic, so we will see how what the experience will bring. Thank you for sharing your embark day dining in Botticelli’s as I think that is where we will go too.
We were also looking for what ship we wanted to take for our second Alaska cruise and thought about the Crown Princess; however, since we do not know how the experience will be on Crown Princess, we have chosen the Celebrity Edge seven day cruise round trip out of Seattle, which goes to Dawes Glacier, something different to try.

Congratulations: My wife and I did this same 11 night trip in early July (2023) and really enjoyed the antics of Christoff, the South African cruise director and his "wake Up" tv shows. Our journey also included Glacier Bay with the US Park Rangers aboard to explain the geology and history of that remarkable place.
We also found the buffet crowded at times, but the Botticelli was a delight very night.

Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up. It seemed it was not that difficult for u to drop off bagfage, check in, security, immigration and board the ship. Others found chaos, unorganized procedures?

I so enjoyed your video! Thank you for sharing. My husband and I are going on our very first princess cruise on the royal princess southbound from Anchorage to Vancouver and this just gave me an idea what Vancouver port looks like and it was so informative to me. I subscribe to your channel and I’m so excited to watch the rest of your videos on your Alaska cruise❤️

It seems like the main dinning room serves lunch and the cost is included without extra charge?

The main dinning room (Botecelli) is open on Embarkations day and all seaday. When in Port only the Buffets are open. One Main Dinning room also serves afternoon tea on sea day. Pub Lunch is served in the Crown Grill on Seaday. One dinning room is open for Breakfast. Everything we ate on the ship was included. We didnt pay anything extra. But there are extra charges if you want extra Lobstertail or fancy steaks. The price is on the menu and shows as extra charges. We never had the need to pay extra. The food in the Main dinning room was very good. If you can always eat in the main dinning room. The buffet was mediocre at best. Breakfast at the international cafe was great too if you are in a rush to get off the ship. We loved the International Cafe. There are 11 more videos coming out and should cover most question one could ever have. LOL

How does someone not leave the ship? Sounds very selfish
