Hey that’s me! Thank you again to Paradox for giving me the chance to showcase different aspects of DLC. I hope you all enjoy it and stay tuned for the next one. :)
I love managing my realm, like that’s a huge thing for me personally, so I’m very excited this adds more to actually building and managing the government and realm. Can’t wait for this DLC to drop
Soul Tomato is playing in the big league. He is going places, so to speak. Good for him! And this tutorial was very helpful! I look forward to playing the DLC very soon!😆
I converted Britannia to admin gov and I lost my title when my 105 yo emperor died now I have to claw my way back up from the duke of Iceland where my estate is located
It's an automaton. The Byzantines had quite a few of those to impress guests. The throne itself had a mechanical system which allowed it to be raised and lowered at the emperor's whim.
Does anyone know what will happen to already running games in which you hold the Byzantine Empire or the Roman Empire as either your primary or secondary title when the update drops? Will the update push the administrative government on you? The new administrative government looks very interesting, but I'd rather keep my high-medieval primogenitur monarchy that I acquired through restoring the Karling Empire borders for my world-conquest save.
Paradox PLEASE let Soul Tomato do dev diaries every time! His voice is soothing, easy to understand, and stays monotone enough that it is informative yet engaging.
I wish they'd make these features playable for normal rulers outside of byzantium too. Makes me sad that cool features are locked to iberia, byzantium and persia now.
Not to neg the video or the expansion (which looks great BTW) but does anyone else want to have Republics back? When they started talking about estates and the such, my mind immediately wandered to my game as Venice in CK2.
@Soul_Tomato , You shouldn't be so stressed abd fast with these tuts. If older, like me, it could be hard to follow now and then. No harm taking it a little bit slower, or maybe these tuts are only for the hardcore players that really already know about it. Yet I appreciate your tuts, but would do so even more if you slow down a little bit.
3:03 IF I Ever play ck3, i Will play With this dlc, and i Will become the byzantine emperor, and then apoint all the govenors meritocratically ROME, and counquer the world, without killing anyone!
If Part of the gameplay is landing family members as administrators isn't it relatively easy to lose the house head position if they have a greater military strength and with that you lose access to your estate or is this handled differently?
You essentially restart every generation. I had a strong family running Athens. I somehow acquired the adjacent county next to me. I died and had a son ready to take over. He ended up with zero land living in Constantinople. I had no vassal, no military nothing. Then I some convinced my Liege to give me a governorship. Then I died and once again lost everything. I’m on my 4th generation and restarted every time. I’m not sure I like this version
This looks great but I bet 50 years into the campaign AI will destroy Byzantines through dissolution factions as usual. Make that an optional game rule already!
I´m reading Roman Revolution and this expansion does sound a lot like the Roman Republic schemes. I´m positively hyped for the mechanics. Now it´s just a matter of how good the AI is in using it.
I know you probably won't be able to read this - but someone might. Opening video is "Influence is like a currency" - Which, okay, cool. I get that. I feel like (as a currency) between two people (based on their stats and traits) that influence for certain actions that gain influence would have more or less of an effect, it would get your more or less of an investment reward. People who are AMBITIOUS, for example, might heavily resent someone else having Influence over them, and thus your actions would generate not Influence alone but also some Resentment. And finally based on their stats and traits there should be a burn down of that accumulated currency. I do something to gain influence over you 20 years ago, and I go to cash in on it now... well, maybe they don't feel that influence anymore, they have grown away from that. Just a thought though.
I think New landless and administrative mechanic should also have new approach to wealth. Instead of trying to climb to top and be emperor. Characters could also be motivated to stay COunt or Duke for century. And have wealth that helps next generation to get fast influence . I think characters should be able to invest to store wealth or increase. By buying silver/gold mines. Buy different bags or chest of gems to sell them proper moment or just have somekind of stocks especially in byzantine empire . Right now big problem is if you lose your land, you lose everything . If you lose yourland you should be allowed to take you chest of rubys from hiding place and travel to distant land to start a new or rise a army. Without having start from zero.
I want the popular opinion on this , I think religion in CK3 are good but lack of something and specifically the head of a religion who like the pope is more a piggy bank . And most importantly be the head of a faith doesn’t change the way you will play. And with the upcoming estate it will be normal for head of faith to have special religious estate such as Vatican for the Pope . Those could be upgraded and change and give bonus or new decision to the head of faith and those could be directly correlated with the number of believers the faith have. That way the pope and other will be more inclined to push ruler to convert their realm or invade pagan. Moreover interaction like send to ( religious estate ) for education could be more interesting. And having an advance religious estate in your realm could give you significant bonus and possibly. In that way invest in your head of faith will be more valuable and ask him for money every years less beneficial. Let me know what you think , and specially if you think that it will require a lot of added work since estate are all ready there and all the mechanics remain basically the same
Also , I heard that dev was attract by a missionary possibility. But for now there are not many benefit to play as such . But if head of faith could create special contract to convert a place ( by any means necessary) or give you missionary contracts to go spread the right religion in distant pagan countries. Or attack a country to depose an excommunicated king (with the possibility to replace him ) . If the possibility for pope ( head of faith )to visit ( make a grand tour ) all Catholics ( faith ) country . And appoint special army during this grand tour , when very religious wanderer could participate. In summary ad special interaction possibilities between the head of faith and famously pious wanderer
$30-$40 DLC. Cool content, cool mechanics. However, it shouldn’t cost anymore than tours and tournaments. All the DLCs for all the different titles from Paradox has garnished them many, many millions in profit. They don’t have to price gouge every major DLC to get more profit. Give some love to your fan base, and they’ll give it back 10 fold. Fact.
The influence system will be as boring as gaining piety or prestige. You will be locked from doing certain actions, until you gain X tier. And it will be just grinding the same quests over and over to gain the said tier. Mark my words.
You have like 2 or 3 month to make something significant for the series (economy, government, religious or culturaly wise) or this series is definitively going into the ground. I say this with more than 3000h on CK3 and more on CK2. this is a strategy game with rpg elements, not the other side. You lost your track along the way. This extension is comically botched. I can invade any country with my super man at arms stack that cost nothing. Has anyone of you tested the last extension at all?
I hope one day you consider brining relavent voice actors to voice this tutorials. Imagine a Greek speaking the language of the Roman’s… instead I have to listen to an American
@@Darthwgamer popular in the ck3 community? So what? They need to bring someone with a good voice to immerse their players into what an administrative government feels like.
You're talking much too quickly. I can't even begin to absorb whatever it is that you're banging on about. Also, learn how to pronounce themes...it's a basic and commonly used word that most children should know. Please never use this contributor again.
He is pronouncing themes as "Thema" because thema is the singular of the greek term thémata. So it's not a pronunciation error, he simply decided to use the original greek word instead of the english one.
Hey that’s me! Thank you again to Paradox for giving me the chance to showcase different aspects of DLC. I hope you all enjoy it and stay tuned for the next one. :)
You made it bro!
No fucking way, you actually made it
Sick it's really cool to see you on here. Wasn't expecting it at all
Hey that's you!
Moving up in the world bro
“Starts I recommend in the Middle East or in the Byzantine Empire” coming soon from Soul Tomato
the tomato guy made it, congrats.
Soul Tomato doing the official video for paradox?! LETS GO
So proud of our little tomato, hes so big
I love managing my realm, like that’s a huge thing for me personally, so I’m very excited this adds more to actually building and managing the government and realm. Can’t wait for this DLC to drop
big tomato, hes all grown up
So proud of my boy Soul! Look at him go
SOUL TOMATO?? Jeez I remember watching your interesting AGOT starts, you were just starting off. Dude is growing fr
I'm personally most excited for fishing, but this is pretty cool!
Hell yeah Soul Tomato!
10:20 this frame and the blobbing into the north the Empire does is concerning….
YOOOOOO soul tomato :OOOOOO
I’m excited to see people do challenges of admin starts in weird parts of the world like Gotland
My man tomato officially made it to paradox, let's gooooooooooo

Congratulations tomato!
Ey nice going tomato. Its a good showcase and i will consider getting the DLC
I converted Britannia to admin gov and I lost my title when my 105 yo emperor died now I have to claw my way back up from the duke of Iceland where my estate is located
LOVE IT
So good to see Soul Tonato here
Admin Abassids would fun be a blast to play under during the intermezzo.
It makes sense for them to be as well since they also had governors.
I think there’s gonna be a game rule for that
@@Tricky2109 Yeah there's a game rule for Admin government for a bunch of empires
I'm definitely doing administrative Persian empire
This will be f amazing in AGOT!!!

Looks like a fantastic dlc! Can’t wait!
I really hope the deva for AtE will incorporate this for Brazil and California. Maybe even the Presidency and HCE
Yeah it just makes sense for them to have this
I imagine the rare formable "United States" (similar to the Roman Empire in base game) would also have this mechanic but with more flavor.
@@bulletghost3452 The co-emperor or co-monarch in this case would be vice-president
I'm totally HYPED!
Is it September 24 yet?

Not sure you should be able to spent influence to increase a prisoners acceptance of being released.
This is gonna be insane when its properly into the AGOT mod.
Paradox PLEASE let Soul Tomato do dev diaries every time! His voice is soothing, easy to understand, and stays monotone enough that it is informative yet engaging.
so much better than OPB, he always talks like an MG
Ck3 was pretty easy before this dlc but now I feel like a blind and deaf late roman magister
Do only admin gov families have estates? Can feudal or clan vassals never participate in administration?
1. Yes only Admin families have estates.
2. The feudal and clan vassals can exist under an admin government, but don't really get anything.
Would be nice if the art style in estate screen would be used in the Tournaments as such as well, or given option to change to it.
I wish they'd make these features playable for normal rulers outside of byzantium too. Makes me sad that cool features are locked to iberia, byzantium and persia now.
I know you can upgrade to admin when you're an empire but there should be a admin-light feature for kingdoms too
That moment when provincial administrators have more glorious headgear than western monarchs.
Not to neg the video or the expansion (which looks great BTW) but does anyone else want to have Republics back? When they started talking about estates and the such, my mind immediately wandered to my game as Venice in CK2.
also how kingdom title work?
we need no kings we only need my sword and my army to be a ruler lol good video
What if the County title under thema its it belone to the duke or they also admin family ?
If a theme has tourmarches, are the tourmarches powerfull families inside the theme?
Is it me or the tiger in the ends Move ??😂😱😱
It certainly does, I wanted to say the same thing.
It's an automaton, one of several means the Byzantines had to impress or intimidate their guests.
I wonder if we'll ever get levels of wealth like levels of prestige and levels of piety
3:27 being over YOUR domain limit dossent give governers any penalties, rhigt? Beacuce if they do, you Will have to give some to YOUR heir here!
gotta watch this at 0.5 speed jeez

Is there a difference between being a governor or strategos?
So wait do other Administrative states have the estate screen as well?
i love schemes 🤫😉
I am curious, if i conquer constantinople as an persian and change the culture from greek to persian, will I lose that fantastic throne room?
This looks great but I bet 50 years into the campaign AI will destroy Byzantines through dissolution factions as usual. Make that an optional game rule already!
What makes a government administrative?
Will the new government type be available at the 867 start date or only in the new start date?
all the starts I would say. Why would it only be there during the new start date?
Can I forward it to Bilibili
And still dont make PT-BR Translate =(.
