  • Not the best visibility but its great to see so much kelp growth this close to Hobart, likely won't be around for long as the water continues to warm up heading into summer. Somewhere near Blackmans Bay.
    If visiting the area to dive please dive safely and be respectful of the environment and its inhabitants.

    Awesome video, wondered where the shore access is for this?

      Thanks for watching, you can walk around the point from the south end of Blackmans Bay or there is shore access nearby however I would be hesitant to recommend the exact location as it is over informal/unsafe track.

      I don't live in Hobart anymore so I haven't been to the hot spots to say for sure but it should be starting to return gradually but every year it gets thinner and sparser
