- So today I let a wheel pick my crafts for the 11th time in this DIY craft challenge series! And I was very relieved that this episode went much better than the last episode! The wheel could have easily done me dirty, and I definitely took some risks, however I think in the end it paid off! I still think a wooden lamp would have looked really nice, however you could easily pick up something like that at most stores, so I wanted my little craft project to be something different! But hopefully you enjoyed today's episode of letting a wheel pick my crafts, and let me know what you would have done in this DIY craft challenge episode if you were given the same options as me! Also leave your suggestions in the comments about which way you prefer the lamp to be! I still haven't fully made my mind up yet, and I'm definitely contemplating chopping it down furthur!!

Oh definite yarn wig vibes! In fact, this could become a new game. Take a bunch of pics of you in the yarn wig, different angles, different poses, then take a bunch of pics of the lamp in different configurations, different angles. Then flash the pics randomly one at a time up on the screen and we have to guess "Is it Ant? Or is it The Lamp?" It'll sweep the YT platform 😄 Once again you've made my day, and in *many* different ways. Fantastic video!!

I think if you used a hair straightener to straighten the yarn, it might look less messy. I like it as a chandelier and when it's tied up. I don't like the yarn up and twisted though. It's a good bedside table lamp. Like when you want the main light off but you don't want to go to sleep yet and want a little bit of light.

I likeed it when it was twisted .. then I liked it more when it was untwisted... THEN.. as a chandelier was definitely my favorite... I think cutting it would be good but only an inch or two at most. Love the idea and that the wheel finally worked in your favor!

I absolutely love that lamp Ant! Seriously! It is so different and I loved it tied up in the middle, but not twisted up tho, coz that looked a little odd. I would have the strands tied up and pushed the bow you made, up, so that the strands are up in a kind of puffy sleeve style, if you get my drift. Alternately, you could put beads on the strands if you wanted to, then you could keep the strands hanging down and when you touched them the beads would click together, something like a lamp x wind chime. I genuinely love the whole idea. And I think you should go back and get that cute elephant door stop. I would love to see you alter that in some way. That might make a good idea for some videos, taking stuff from charity shops and altering or upcycling them. What do you think Ant? I

Oh yes the yarn wig. Have you ever worn it again? I like the lamp tied up but not twisted and well done coming out of the charity shop with just the item you went in for too!!

Love it! I prefer it loose and I think you should trim it to where you suggested - similar length as the old lampshade. Colour combo is so fun and totally matches your chaotic background 😍 I really want to do a craft afternoon with you and show you how to do a larks head knot - it'll make your stringy crafts so much easier/quicker/neater 😅

I agree with the others. Tied, but not twisted. I also want it tied either with a thick ribbon or the macrame string like 20 times. I want a think tie. But I love it.

Omg! You have a Mini Cooper! I don't drive, but if I did, plus had enough money, I'd buy a Mini Cooper, as they're one of my favourites! I've wanted one for a while. Such a cute little vehicle!😍

Try it with the yarn gathered but tie the knot near the bottom of the yarn but then affixed to the post up high by the bulb. That should make it sort of have this excess bubble of yarn at the top that droops over the knot. Kind of like a puffy sleeve on a shirt. I don’t know, might look cool.

Just a tip. If your doing another project like this in future. Instead of tying the stands cut it the length like you did here but fold it in half. Hold it inside the loop with the fold at the top. Folf the loop over the front n bring the end thru the loop. You won't need to tie them😊
