I believe the new grey plastic is still a type of polystyrene. It's classified as such on the box. I haven't built a high grade that uses it yet, though. Can't wait for my order to arrive. ^_^
I guess they just added something to it to make it "softer"(it's much closer to normal plastic than polycaps, but I gotta compare it with something :P )
the term is "hard point attachments", right? What a neat kit, really. I think I will get it. I am glad it does not transform. The Victory Gundam master grade has a bad reputation for a reason, since the transformation makes it very unstable and it has difficulty with a lot of things. This kit was right to stay simple
Indeed and you're also absolutely right to get the kit. I never knew that the MG had a bad reputation. But I'll find out when I get the kit some time next year( the final Victory kit for the collection :3 )
***** I recommend Jabman's review of it, he is very even-handed in his appraisal of it, and it does look good and has some nice features, and is fairly cheap for an MG due to the size, but it has issues.
I find the bottom of the legs a bit too wide :/ . And I haven't watched v gundam yet, but i don't think the red shield generators are really supposed to come all the way forward in MS mode.. I mean, having a shield attached to the elbow is the usual.
I'm hoping the inevitable HGUC V-Dash comes with a Hexa head and some more weapons (mostly the beam javelin)...because a P-Bandai exclusive Hexa would suuuuuuuuuck.
I don't think that bandai would be evil enough to make it an exclusive...I hope... The only thing I can imagine is that they make an extra version with the hip-mounted beam guns/vsbrs for the P-bandai online store.
***** I don't think any kit of the Victory so far comes with its beam javelin, maybe the MG V-Dash/Core Booster does, but I love me a beam javelin and wish a lot more suits had them.
I think the word those connector points on the legs would be classified as "hardpoints" and not "storage units". Good review overall though, you got a pretty interesting accent that makes your vieos enjoyable to watch.
It's kind of a shame it doesn't come with a Hexa head but that works too :) But maybe banda I will release a v dash pack with a hexa head in the future, I just hope not a p-bandai exclusive.
"standard articulation for the age"

@@kakarot197 I didn’t know you made gunpla review
I wish you still did.
The non-transforming thing is a bummer, but seeing how it is compatible with things from the old Victory, this seems like an absolute steal!

I was originally gonna wait for the V-Dash, but seeing cheap, good looking the old one is, I think I'm gonna go for this custom.
Welp, seeing as you have this review out before everyone else, this review earned you a subscriber.
Just bought it and wasn't disappointed at all
So it's a good kit?

I liked ur review man. I hope to start my own channel one of these days

Kinda shocked it ended up being retail tbh.

Yeah, they're hardpoints, couldn't find the right word when I was filming the review =P
Is there a gunpla model where it combines to the gundam because in the anime it was a combiner.
It's kind of a shame it doesn't come with a Hexa head but that works too :)

A p-bandai exclusive would be outrageous. Let's keep our fingers crossed! =D
Can you tell me what type of base did you use on that old v dash? :)
That's the stand the old V dash(and almost all the 1/144 Victory gundam models) comes with.
