I wish there was a modded worm-like boss in HK, something like Devourer of Gods from Terraria Calamity, but the Knight would have to parkour on its armor while it roams through space and curls into different shapes nonstop, performing all of the original boss ranged attacks. Idk if this concept would actually work, but I dreamt of it for a while.
I think the _Hollow Knight_ counterpart of Fake Peppino would be a bunch of really small bugs (or wisps of Void) coordinating to seem like a “regular” bug under a mask and cloak. Plenty of them already wear masks and cloaks. Seems like it would fit.

In the Fake Peppino boss fight, the clones with the Grey shirts are fakes, they don't have health since they fade after doing their attack. Their main goal is to trick and disorient the player from attacking the True Fake Peppino, which is the one in the white shirt

In Pizza Tower, there's only one additional clone attacking you, and its attacks are preset and never randomized. For example, it does "run up the wall then fall down on the player" when Fake Peppino runs on the walls in circles, and "taunt to release projectiles" only when Fake Peppino has 1 hit left. Overall I think it's balanced well for Hollow Knight gameplay, although the unpredictability of clones can get overwhelming, especially if they decide to release projectiles (but that's only my opinion)
Agreed, though you can offset that a bit with descending dark for s. The randomness of that second phase does make it rough to keep up with everything but I think with more practice or good RNG radiant doesn't seem as hard as other boss mods.
If this exists, I wonder why no one has modded Lace’s fight in this game yet. Would be sick to fight her with The Knight’s moveset. At first, I thought that might actually cause legal issues with Team Cherry, but someone already did one with Hornet.

Pizza tower's boss feels pretty solid with hollow knight.
Bonus: the chase portion can literally be replaced with a boss in deepnest.
