Love this film , the acting in this scene is incorporated throughout , brutality , humour , brilliant music throughout . Pam Grier is one hell of an actress totally convincing as are the rest of the cast , 10/10.
I love the split screen sequence, right when it shows the gun missing from Max’s car to the sound of the click is some of the best editing and timing I’ve ever seen.
Me three. I love that he tries to take control of the situation by telling her to stop acting crazy and she just plows through that. His outbursts shows that he’s no longer in charge.
Revisiting this post a year later.... So I watched True Romance (a Tarantino screenplay) for the first time, just earlier today. And guess what happens to Gary Oldman's character..........yup.
I’m so shocked on how fit and slim black women were back in the day- I just recently seen a picture of my great aunt from the 70s and she looks similar to Pam Grier and she was standing Infront of her car which was a Pontiac gto
Cheers from a keen cineast in Sweden! A million thank's for upload! Take good care folks! We are not alone - at all!!! Pam Grier - foxy lady! God bless!
3:45 lol @ "I'ma unload both of these motherfuckers if you don't do what I tell you to do"...then lol @ "Yeah woman...daaaayyum". This whole scene is lol...hahaha!
Tarantino is great at characterization. Beaumont got himself cornered into the back trunk of a 1980 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency. Jackie Brown, however, turns the tables on Ordell, and convinces him what she is willing to do for him. Jackie brown is master of counter-offers against both criminals and the cops. Brilliant!
I’ve been around film and tv and on film and tv all my life and these two people right here, just in case you don’t know, are fantastic actors. Quintin is a fantastic director also. I’m mean top billing.
@ 2:08 - THAT'S where homegirl grabs the piece and stashes it in her back (she ain't had it on her, prior in the scene, doesn't look like)... Gangster move by the OG. 🤣👍👊
Most directors wouldn't bother to include the sound a lamp like that made back then when you would turn it down. They would buzz just before the light went all the way down.
Quentin has got to be the best screen writer in modern cinema. Especially as it relates to urban, seedy, dark movies. I bet more actors than would admit , want to be in his movies. Don’t retire quentin

You're right, Jackie Brown is a masterpiece, the last of three consecutive gritty black comedy crime films that Tarantino made, Dogs and Pulp being the first two. Honestly thought Tarantino would just do these types of movies, like how Woody Allen was only making romantic comedy-dramas.
It was just amazing the way that actress switched from being a sweet prity flower to straightup bad azz🤘🤘 but i should have seen it coming coz of the way she was smoking on the cigarettes
@@javimiami92 let's not say "worse film" I'd say that hateful 8 became my top film by him. I prefer Django over pulp fiction. All his films are beyond just "good" but I never got into kill bill. I'd say those are on the bottom of his list of films.
"Shut your raggedy ass up and sit the fuck down!" The delivery of that line was majestic

Sounds like a Sam line
That was dam halarious!
I love it so much.

Don't forget the gravy...
lxmoya11 Good. Thanks. Hi. Bye
Beaumont was stoned,he was home he was high, aint no better way to catch a off guard stoner with some drooling, tasty food :))
OUCH!
😂
The suttle nuance of telling someone “it’s okay I forgive you” after someone has tried to kill you is Pam Grier at her finest
One of my favorite scenes in the movie! "Aw c'mon girl u know I was just playin with u!" "Yea woman DAYUM!" 😂

That "Yea woman DAYUM!" part cracked me up too Lmao!

When he turned down the lights more than once, Jackie knew what time it was

and he slowly cut the light out.
I guess that’s why Jackie had that gun pressed up against Ordels Dick, don’t you?
Pam Grier is gorgeous in this film!
She is gorgeous period. Timeless, classic beauty.
Great acting. She went gangster real quick with her tone of voice.
Just like foxy brown
That sound the lamp makes when it turns off, Tarantino is just a genius. Lol

Usually Samuel L Jackson does the gangster stuff. This scene he got schooled by Pam Grier 😎🍻
she's an old G that shot a fool and didn't GAF
“Say what one more time!!!” Not so fun when the rabbit has the gun. Heh.

I just realized how often getting shot in the balls, or the THREAT of getting shot in the balls, appears in Tarantino flicks.
And kneecaps, lol
lol great observation
Nice, I got back to the scene of stiglitz in the "bar shooting" scene

Beast Mode Jackie Brown🔥
Can’t say its his best movie because they’re all amazing. But none of them are better than Jackie Brown.
If none are better than isn’t this the best? Lol
I think some found the plot of this overly convoluted, but it is a very good film.

This was when Tarantino was at his greatest. On screen chemistry is off the charts between Sam and Pam.
I agree, this film is hugely underrated I love how subtle it is compared to his other films
But his best movie was Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
I agree
Right; they melded so well together. Reminds me somewhat of the relationship between Schultz and Django. Well, minus the ending... 🤣
I disagree lool. For me it’s a tie between Django, Inglorious Basterds and The Hateful 8. Rather, a three way tie.
