I think many will not manage to get it right, esp when the model is moving fast :) but hey you are the master and you have another gorgeous model today
Regarding color balance of godox lights you can match them all for color consistency by applying color correction gels (takes time and testing) or only using one model of light in a set and not mix in other models that I know have a shift. All of my AD200s have the same color balance and mix well with my AD600 SE but the AD300pro has completely different balance and a green hue so I correct it with appropriate magenta correction gel. AD300pro though has the same color shift as V1 so I usually end up using those 2 together.
@kaskoPhoto true, buying godox is like having a different brand for almost each model of light you have lol. But to be honest I've had the same issues with profoto B2 not matching A1. The new profoto stuff matches only within their sub groups. A series speed lights match each other but don't match B series battery powered monolights.
It’s definitely a small use light for many and not worth the investment for casual use. I love the look and use it a lot so it’s working for me personally
Thanks for this video! I've been on the fence with this one for a long time. I've seen quite a few people embrace and then abandon the ring flash. I'm thinking that for shadowless fill it's a great option on-camera. I still decided not to get this one for Christmas. (For the money, I went with a Voigtländer Color-Skopar 28mm f2.8 for street photography with my M10-P instead) but I'm likely to get this for studio work with the Panasonic G9 in March for my birthday. (I'm in that small minority that loves MFT and Leica M, nothing in between makes sense for me...)
I see you changing distances all the time. Am I right in thinking you used TTL? Lovely shots btw. This is one of the best vids I've seen on the R200. I've had mine for about a year and haven't used it yet. I've only tested it in my room here to see if it worked and the kind of light I was getting but of course, that isn't the way to really test it. You inspire me to want to finally give it a go. I have to get that reflector attachment for it, though. I don't have any of the accessories for it yet (reflector, grids, gels). It's pretty lightweight. Now, I also have its predecessor, the monstrous Godox AR400 ring flash. It's a 400W beast but SO heavy! Oh my god, this thing is heavy (and I think I'm a pretty strong guy but a few minutes with this thing on camera and your arm and wrist will scream for mercy lol). Great vid again. You're one of the absolute best photography content creators around.
"the inverse square law is magnified with a ring light" so it defies physics ? I x 1/d2. its a scientific law that states that the intensity of a physical quantity decreases as the square of the distance from its source increases.
Another wonderful video. You work with some stunning models.

She’s amazing. With this light the movement really isn’t an issue. Both in manual or TTL. Just a little time learning your settings at each shoot.
@@kaskoPhoto hehe easy for you to say :) like me when I show some for me easy shots with the bow and the students struggle :D
Thanks.
I have this ring light and it's beautiful as a fill light in studio and even outdoors with the sun as the main light
Agree. I love using on its own but it does fill beautifully

Yes, just should not have to do that with the “pro” name on them 😂

Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate you.
My favorite lens is the Sigma 105mm f/1.4 which has a filter thread of 105mm so I was wondering if it could fit the R200
I honestly don’t know. I have some room left with the 50 but that 105 is really big.
That's a cool light! I would hesitate because I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of it! 🇨🇦

Def check the used market because they do go very cheap at times.

Thank you. And as far as accessories, I would definitely recommend the reflector, but don’t think I’ve ever used a grid or gels with this.
The model 😍

Thanks for your input - that added so much value to this video.
