i think Maurya is overpowered by late game. Initially Bactria and Parthian factions could be a challenge but once u manage to defeat them then its really easy to take over rest of middle east up to Anatolia. Roman might look scary but their armies are not powerful enough. just having 2-3 Mauryan tower elephants in every army will guarantee your victory. Tbh it kinda gets boring during late game as u basically plough through everyone without any challenge . Hopefully u will do something interesting in this campaign
thankfully I have a pretty new PC,so turns aren't so bad, I remember as Kolkhis, conquering all the way east, and then the painful slog marching all my armies back west to face Rome, took so long to do nothing interesting due to end turns
Did the DEI campaign map expand the original map as i dont remember the OG Campaign map have transoxiana in it like DEI does or is that added on with another DLC?
rule number 1 take chariots to town settlement rule number 2 cahrge chariots through the enemy line while supported by infantry rule 3 get minimum 1500 kills by follow the first two ;)
@@SimpzyTotalWar nah brother set up a small army on the side not even your campaign invest a general in max cavalry boosts in authority and zeal also grab im pretty sure its the pinkish one there's a bonus for cavalary which chariots are included in you can turn them into monsters the problem in my opinion is, you didn't maneuver them enough you charged them into, archers and left them stationary in real life chariots never stopped if you can keep them moving and when i mean moving i mean if you have to click that left mouse 20 times to get em moving do it aslong as there moving and not stationary in a fight they murder thousands xx i genuinely thought they were useless till i i got so mad i i pushed them through a front line and didnt attack anyone but ran them literally next to a unit in the deepest formation possibly and i get 1-2k kills every time when i use my chariot gang haha
Basically there are two ways to code a map for a game like this: you can make the map “soft-coded” so it can be altered or make it “hard-coded” so it can’t. Soft-coded makes it so you can add or remove towns, lands, geography, whatever, while hard-coded means the map can’t be changed or else the whole thing just breaks. Rome 2 is hard-coded while the older games were soft-coded, so you can’t remove stuff from the Rome 2 map.
The Mauryans in this mod are based off of Takshila, which was a state in the Mauryan empire on the farthest western border of the empire in that part of the desert.
