Leave it to jagex to make make forestry about skilling together, but in fact secluding yourself from other players is actually the best way to do it now 😂
I'm personally interested in the fox whistle, so I did a little math: Any forestry event has a 1/9 chance to be poachers, and any poachers has a ~1/49 chance of giving fox whistle depending on your woodcutting level, for a total of 441 events until fox whistle. You could perhaps get 20-30 events per hour, (the latter only if you very aggresively skip non-poacher events), which would mean on average 15-22 hours for a fox whistle.
My account just said "nah" to your math and gave me the whistle on my first ever poaching event.. pretty wild RNG just wish it had been one something else
Think I read you can roll for whistle on events that you don't qualify for other rewards🤔 would mean you can jump around the old way to finish the log.

one one thing i would change for this guide is saying to do this solo. You can do this solo, but its a lot faster to do this in a group. I was doing this with 9 people at the 3 trees in varlamore and it goes a lot quicker since you have 3 rolls per world. Just have 3 people prime the the trees then everyone goes and clears em out. Just make sure you're all sitting for a few seconds after each world hop so everyone gets the loot. Its actually really fun and social almost like what forestry was supposed to be. One guy even got the whistle, egg, and garland in the 5 hour session we did but he got spooned. As a note I don't think its possible to get multiple events per world. We did this for 5 hours and never saw 2 events on the same world.
@@jurgnobs1308 you just wait a few seconds for courtesy. Just need to take a swing at the tree for you to be eligible, not cut a log. We did 5 hours and very few events were missed out on and usually those that were was because one of the people stayed for a beehive/lep to get rid of logs so they were lagging behind

forrestry has been such a shitshow after p2. p1 was amazing, you had prospects of 2h axe, you had the 4 best events already, we got jagex to limit randoms occuring during them, it was social, there were sweaty options teleporting to dozen tree spots. i did 90-99 at seers just doing any tree events then the tree to match my afk and id do 1-99 doing p1 forrestry. but the latest version sucks so hard, chopped for an hour for one event to spawn, then i wasnt actively chopping at the time so it didnt count to reward me.
This is not a strictly solo method, and is in fact BETTER with other people! I have been chopping with several people doing this. Only 1 person needs to prepare the worlds and then everyone chops the same tree. You get the invisible wc boost that forestry gives from chopping the same tree as someone else, and additional attempts to get a log. Everyone gets to do the event. Plus, it's more fun when you join other people!
@@Starvoider Not that I know of. It seems to work best with like 2 or 3 people because it requires a little coordination. Plus, you all need to wait until everyone is in the same world before you start chopping. It's def worth it if you find someone along the way to team up with them!!
You need to have chopped a log in the area within the last minute to be eligible for uniques so doing it with other people might still be handicapping you unique chance
@@CampinOnline There is indeed a timer, but it's a 3 minute timer. Eligibility for the events and uniques is determined by a skill roll (both successful and failed attempts to get a log). Each skill roll resets that timer on the tree. You can have 2 trees eligible for events/rewards, a third tree would lose the first tree's eligibility. Also, if you chop within 20 tiles of an event that spawns you are also eligible. (check out the wiki for a more thorough description of eligibility) When I was doing this, my group/partners got several uniques. There was no problem at all with getting to do events in a group, so long as everyone had a skill roll on the tree that we were chopping BEFORE it was knocked down by someone receiving a log. It definitely works with other people, and I saw basically 0 reduction in my chances to get event rewards and uniques! The process was more fun with others and it sped up the process a lot! I hope this helps! :D

The World Hopper plugin is also a massive help if doing this method. You can just hop to the next world using a hotkey so you don't have to click on the world hop menu every hop.
bro, please use menu entry swapper for the ents. that footage was painful to watch with the rightclicking set left click to cut top and shift left click to but back, that way you can spamclick every ent. also, you can switch both options to "walk here" on a finished ent to keep you from spam clicking the wrong one
i did this quite a bit. it doesn't even need a particulary weird location. I did it st priff yews, so I can bank easily. as long as I didn't use forestry worlds, it worked fine. sure, sometimes there would be a world where someone cut that tree but then I just hopped again.
@@lmagine091 I hop right after it's over and just restart completely afterwards because while you could reprime the trees after an event, you can't really do that in a world where you didn't get an event because that tree doesn't regrow before you hop.
If you want to add a somewhat small bit of risk and don't mind waiting a long time to make gp with the event, consider buying some clothes pouch blueprints instead of axe handles. Check ge tracker and all that before you do, but the in game ge price is NOT accurate for these and they can sell for more than axe handles if you are willing to wait and potentially risk. I sold one blueprint for 4.2m about a week ago by letting it sit in the ge overnight. Verify this first, as I know the in-game price looks way lower than the axe and it looks scary.

In your guide you cut a tree for 2 seconds and hop to the next world. Since at Varlamore there are 3 magic trees do you cut the tree for 2 seconds and go to the next magic tree, or is it advised to only do 1 tree per world?
It would stop the tree timer counting down if you stopped cutting it to cut another one, but there is a bug that if you log/hop the game thinks you are still cutting it. Or that's my understanding
I would keep to 1 tree per world but if you want to be really sweaty, you can use 2 accounts and do 2 trees per 1 world for more events. The trees stay prepared until someone else cuts it or the weekly server resets happens
You can manipulate forestry so it thinks you’re cutting multiple locations simultaneously and then you don’t even have to hop. Super easy on forestry worlds
i completed the entire log in 2 days - went to forsaken tower with a group of 5-6 players theres 10? (8?) Magic trees there if somebody chopped a tree we hopped worlds 6.5k-ish bark an hour

Its a shame we have to resort to what almost seems like bug abuse to speed up Forestry logging. If this is still possible when I decide to play I'll keep this method in mind
World hopping is no longer meta, it's complicated but there is reddit/discord servers that explain in detail. The basics is events can spawn anytime in the tree timer, not just when a tree is felled, you cam only be eligible for events from two trees. Now it's better to chop a tree once, then finish chopping on another tree in the same world
I spent over 300 hours at Myth’s Guild magics post-nerf and still don’t have the golden egg. I gave up. They gutted this content so bad. Hopefully I can get it this way before the next “revamp” comes and makes it worse again 😭
Im mobile only for OSRS.. Jagex should really find a way for us to have add ons.. Seeing how PC has so many of them, which makes the minigames or game itself easier, is annoying and u fair on mobile users... Especially since they got rid of mobile worlds.. pking against pc players is frustrating as hell due to them having such a huge advantage.
Heads up, if you think this doesn't work for you and you're getting a terrible event rate, it means someone else is already trying to do it in your location on your clump of worlds.

The only issue with this is that I believe world hopping isn't unlimited. You would need to be careful with doing this too much in an extremely short period of time
I wish there was more information on the wiki about it so that world hopping strategies could be better planned around it. The current knowledge is that you have ~390 max world hops and you gain ~93 per hour
The account that starts the event is only eligible for rewards so if your ironman cuts down the tree and spawns the event, then your ironman can only get the rewards
@@KriibusRS while that's true, you can cut a normal tree next to the primed one to get events on a low level account. you just have to have cut a log in that world within 3 minutes (ans within a 41x41 tile square) to be ellegible for the event rewards. this can be especially interesting for chunk locked or similar accounts because tgey can get a lot of wc xp from.trees they can't even cut yet
This was reported to Jagex roughly 3 months ago and they still haven't fixed it which leads me to believe they have no intention of ever fixing it, but we'll see.

Yes, that can happen. The real chance is between 30-40% and it happened to me as well where I jumped through 10 worlds and didn't see a single event but then saw 4 events in 4 worlds, it's just rng

Next patch notes this will get patched. Players using cleaver game mechanics to bypass absurdly long grind is not something the devs let live for long.

I tried it with my main and iron, but I didn't get rewards because I wasn't present when the event spawned. Maybe just 1 account?
