It has a DEADLY safetly flaw in the stem, which snaps in half over time at the hinge due to a flaw in the design that even a basic engineering student or anyone with any common sense could see. The hinge clamp is far too short which puts an incredible amount of force on the hinge and surrounding areas due to extreme leverage from being too close to the folding point which results in accelerated metal fatigue, so it catastrophically fails/breaks while you're riding, just like it did with mine recently. I am getting insane range for my weight. I only have 1 issue with it. The square controller it comes with. To say I hate that type of controller on a high power scooter is an understatement. It is beyond annoying. I even almost wished I never bought it. Yes, to me that annoying. The jerky all or nothing power because of that silly controller is to much. Settings do not help it much. Nami is a way Better scooter imo from riding the nami and although I havent rode a thunder 2 I have a thunder and they arent even close. Hopefully Andrew will tell you what he thinks.
The storm gets speed wobbles greater than 35mph unless you have a steering damper on it but has the fastest acceleration of those three. I would definitely take the Thunder 2 over those three choices for street use, due to the nicer buttons, silicone buttons and stability at high speeds. The Ultra 2 is the only one that has offroad tires and it's a fun ride. The Ultra 2 is not as aggressive as the Thunder 2 or Storm, but it's a range beast. The Ultra 2 also has older buttons and the kickplate is at a much more steep angle. I do like the Nami best for offroading but I prefer the Thunder 2 for street riding. If the Nami had upgraded stiffer suspension, it may change my mind. The Dualtron Thunder 2 feels more stable at 55mph than the Nami because it's lower to the ground and can be adjusted even lower.

@@freshlycharged Yes I am aware but it is still shocking to me because I use an lto 72v 30ah pack in my ebike and it fully charges with a 10a charger in less than two hours. From an average ride of about 25kms it takes 45 minutes to top up.
You can always get a fast charger. I like the Dualtron uses slower chargers for better battery lifespan. That is charging from empty but the range is massive.
I am sorry but I just dont understand the appeal so many have for the dualtrons.. imo they fell behind the top tier scooters and arent innovating imo. ... they are a second tier scooter under rion, Weped (Dark Knight), Nami, Bronco the list goes on..
@jimmychang I am a new rider who is looking for a escooter that has greate range and decent speed to commute to work at a great price. If you can guide me to that scooter I would highly appreciate it. Thank you.
Dualtron really is starting to fall behind, sure this scooter has speed and a nice size battery. It has a squeaky weak stem, a very low grade suspension. The controller and screen are generations behind.
-A little grease solves permanently the stem squeak. -Best suspension in the scooter world, it does come stiff from factory because suspension nuts are over tightened - the screen has more settings tha most scooters and the squarewave are not inferior to sinewave. Sinewave comes with a lot of disadvantages, a broken hall sensor in the front motor in a sinewave and you'll be picking up teeth from Asphalt, less efficient at high speeds. I would personally only replace squarewave with FOC, never sinewave.
THANK YOU MY FRIEND!!!!🙏 You are 110% RIGHT!!!! From 2021 there are many companies that have MUCH better scooters!!!! I would never buy a Dualtron!!❌ If you know some basic things about e-scooters you 'll get crazy how this company still sell scooter... And so EXPENSIVE!!!!😤🤷
@@slick1908 You dont wanna hear about the Faulty, lemon of a scooter the dualtron limited is, or have you looked that one up. I bought on in January and they still havent out parts to fix it. Even after my first mile on the thing I knew it was defective. They tried to deny it. But after every single person who bought one started to complain, they had no choice but to acknowledge it. But as i said months later still no fix. They stated speeds of 70, wouldnt go over 43, range of 136 miles, youd be lucky to get 40 in eco mode crawling at 12mph. They controller which was in the kick plate would vibrate like crazy. You couldnt even charge the thing to 100%, it would reach 98 and then start going back down. So yes I stand by the fact, they are behind the game, they should be much farther ahead not only in quality control at this point, but just about every single aspect of the scooter world. How does it compare vs de latest Nami? How would you configure the suspension?
Really depends on what type of riding you're looking for. I like this better for streets but the Nami better for offroading.
The suspension has different rubber cartridges depending on type of riding and you can adjust the angles for more or less clearance.
@@Andrew-vt4jt ok I don’t want to change the cartridge, too complicated. Does adjusting the angle loosen a bit the suspension?
@@Andrew-vt4jt I mainly use it on the street, though they are usually not in the best of condition, so a hard suspension is not a pleasant ride. I think it’s important to be able to adjust easily the suspension for the type of ride.
Does it have an alarm? Or kill switch?
Is it possible to switch your zoom brakes to install nut brakes on your yume 10?
Ultra 2 version 2 from 2021 to 2022!!
Can you do a review on the weped cyberfold
charge time 28 hours?
So it’s needlessly noisy, heavy, clumsy and creaky. Wonderful. A guy rode one past me yesterday and the first thing I though was ‘it sounds like all his bolts are loose and rattling’.
I guess the fender can be tightened to prevent the rattling.
For rear fender check the alen bolds usually they get lose very easy
Can you ride these on the road with insurance in the uk?
Yes
Nice
Wonder how this compares to the nami viper
DUALTRON IS A GREAT SCOOTER BRAND.
They make great scooters. I'm excited to see what they come out with next.
for this price cartridge suspension? no way..
my car costs less 😂
You don't want to lift with your knees either 😂😂
Can anyoane tell me if i can ride the thuder 2 in the rain?
I wish 10 inch scooters would finally come with that "tubeless no flat tire thing"! 😡
There are a lot of really good 10 inch scooters on the market, but these shitty tubed tires are always the pain in the ass...
Love my original thunder even though it through me off at 72 klms per hour from speed wobbles
That's never fun. Sorry to hear that. Hope you're alright!
Hope you are ok for one. Did you have a stem stabilizer on yours?
Fresh outta effs about what Karen on the trail thinks about my minuscule horn.
i want this instead of my vsett10+ so bad hahahaha
The VSETT 10+ is no slouch!
I wanted the Nami 2 but I'm def getting the T2 in a few weeks. I won't be needing a scooter for awhile. I'm all about the range. I just like taking long trips.
@@jessa.3857 yeah my vsett has the smallest battery, i only weigh 130 lbs and get around 25 miles or so of pretty much ripping it as hard as i can lol. check out my vids!! :D but yeah i want something with some more range aswell, and speed doesnt hurt :) ti it does :D
@@TheRealElectricOutdoors with your weight, you'll get not only more range but you'll also be able to rip aggressively on the T2!! I'm 185 and I have a Mantis that is giving me 20-23 miles of moderate riding. If I ride it hard I got 15-18 miles. I NEED this T2 bad, lol!

How do you know Fullerton loop?!
Why, is it a secret?
@@freshlycharged no, not at all! I was watching your video (your videos are great) and I was very surprised because it looked exactly like Fullerton loop (I missed the the beginning part where you say you were in Fullerton.). What brings you guys out to Socal? Group ride?
@@masked1avenger just traveling through doing some projects. Fun place to ride!
28 hours to charge? That means you can't use it everyday if you drain the battery. Why don't they use batteries that can be quick charged?
Believe they have a fast charger you can buy. The charge rate is perfect for me. If you only fast charge a battery pack this large degradation will be faster. Is part of the reason I bought a scooter with such a large battery pack. Ride much farther before I need to charge it.
It has huge range. 28 hours is to charge from zero to full with the stock charger
@@freshlycharged Yes I am aware but it is still shocking to me because I use an lto 72v 30ah pack in my ebike and it fully charges with a 10a charger in less than two hours. From an average ride of about 25kms it takes 45 minutes to top up.
@@joellontoc3231 yep you can get the minimotors 72v fast charger for $150

Hi sir.sana akin nlng yan.hindi pa ako natry ganyan scooter.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
i had that scooter and i didnt like 3 things, bad suspension, low handlebars, and stem
Did I read that right?? 28hr charge time??? 😵
You can always get a fast charger. I like the Dualtron uses slower chargers for better battery lifespan. That is charging from empty but the range is massive.
The fender on my Achilleus is just nonsense loud and clunky- it has two bolts holding it on and its just not snug enough
Besides that, what do you think of that scooter?
@@freshlycharged it's a solid scooter and quite fast. Getting some wobble at speed. In my opinion it should come with a steering damper.
Amazing scooter,i love it,.please give me one🙂
I am sorry but I just dont understand the appeal so many have for the dualtrons.. imo they fell behind the top tier scooters and arent innovating imo. ... they are a second tier scooter under rion, Weped (Dark Knight), Nami, Bronco the list goes on..
Dark Knight is out of category...it's a new world 😋
Indeed, I have always read on the other hand, that bronco is better than dualtron (In Europe ... I am French)

28 hours!?
@jimmychang I am a new rider who is looking for a escooter that has greate range and decent speed to commute to work at a great price. If you can guide me to that scooter I would highly appreciate it. Thank you.
Dualtron really is starting to fall behind, sure this scooter has speed and a nice size battery. It has a squeaky weak stem, a very low grade suspension. The controller and screen are generations behind.
-A little grease solves permanently the stem squeak.
-Best suspension in the scooter world, it does come stiff from factory because suspension nuts are over tightened
- the screen has more settings tha most scooters and the squarewave are not inferior to sinewave. Sinewave comes with a lot of disadvantages, a broken hall sensor in the front motor in a sinewave and you'll be picking up teeth from Asphalt, less efficient at high speeds. I would personally only replace squarewave with FOC, never sinewave.
THANK YOU MY FRIEND!!!!🙏
You are 110% RIGHT!!!!
From 2021 there are many companies that have MUCH better scooters!!!!
I would never buy a Dualtron!!❌
If you know some basic things about e-scooters you 'll get crazy how this company still sell scooter...
I went bought a Nami, and its not even close how much better of a scooter it, and its only their first try at making a scooter.
@@voxtek your analogy with the NAMI is not correct, companies degrade quality over time.
First gen ultra, thunders were bulletproof. I know a dude who did everything trying to break a dualtron ultra, climbed mountains, rode it pretty much like a motocross bike ( the scooter still in one piece after 15k km). I got my Thunder after hearing reports of a french dude with 60k km odo, and have had it run flawless for a year already
@@slick1908 Your only focusing on the quality, which has gone to crap. They have terrible stem latch designs, no headlight unless u get the X, terrible suspension thats as hard as a rock unless u get the X, noticing a pattern theres only 1 dualtron thats even worth it, and then its so damn heavy and cumbersome its not even a scooter but a mini moto at that point
28hs to charge!
Anyone had any attention from the Police riding this here in the UK?
Yeah then fenders off after a while, the bolts come out
We needed you there to help us tighten them!
"Nice buttons"? They are impossibly tiny and useless at speed. Thunder 1 had a big huge button with tactile feedback that worked with gloves.
It is too heavy!
These things are fun until you realize how much they cost, how many points of failure they have and the insane amount of maintenance they’ll have down the road.
It’s a high maintenance hobby.
I've been kicking around getting one. Can you tell us a little bit about your maintenance experience with scooters?
very true. I feel better when i compare it to when i owned a dirt bike and then i love how simple and easy Escooters are to work on.
Then again cars dont have bolts working themselves loose or have creaky / sloppy steering wheels!
@@freshlycharged Are you kidding this is not a high maintenance hobby I've had the dual transthunder for 2 years and I never had one issue but just adjusting the brakes and fixing a couple flat tires on the tubus tires never had any other maintenance issues
It's a child/stunt scooter design made into the opposite of everything it was for, slow, smooth ground, lightweight for tricks. See how much modding is done just to make it behave like an adult push scooter design. The saving grace is that it's so terrible at what it's supposed to be for that it's "extreme".
LOL, why would you want a badge on anything telling you that you have "no flat" tires.... That's so stupid.
To show off every time you pass someone with a flat!
@@freshlycharged lol
dont double tap. drive 25kmh and max ranhe

But its so ugly and heavy... Vsett 10+ is still in the lead I think. For its speed, range, and weight.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
