Much has been made about girls and women of the USA watching football now specifically because of Taylor Swift (and it's true- just look at the ratings), but she's ALSO brought in a whole cohort of international Swifties, male and female, who have really never cared about American football before, and the NFL has been trying to reach the overseas market for YEARS. The NFL is definitely benefiting, yet all Taylor herself has gotten is a whole bunch of haters for reasons that aren't her fault. (She was already the biggest popstar in the world, and her tour was sold out long before all this happened). She must really, REALLY love Travis.
This is true, I live in South Africa but lived in the US for five years and did follow the NFL, but that dwindled down when I moved. Now I am watching numerous Podcasts, looking up stats and getting fully involved. My Dad would have loved this.

Second this, I’m an Australian Aussie rule’s supporter had no idea who Travis Kelce was didn’t know anything about American football previous other then what I know from remember the titans movie but since Taylor I’m interested in watching the superball now even with our time delay. I should mention I’m just a causal Taylor listener
Im a life long football fan. But taylor's eras tour is bigger than the nfl. Even bigger than the superbowl. Many in tbe world don't know about the superbowl
The Travis and Taylor relationship has my attention for a few reasons:
1. I'm in KC. I have a co-worker who's Travis' neighbor, and he's told me about all the mayhem that's happened in the area between when the relationship went public to when Travis bought the mansion in Leawood.
2. Even though I live in KC, the Chiefs have never been my team. I was a St. Louis fan (and still am with the BattleHawks) until the owners allowed them to be lied out of the Show Me State - Clark Hunt being one of the owners who was okay with it. But this romance actually has me at least paying attention to the local team a little bit.
3. I've started listening to Travis' podcast (even contributed a little bit! - I'm the guy who wrote about the New Heights sandwich, which led to the introduction of Travis' "unholy whipping noises") AND Taylor's music (not a country fan, but her music's alright).
4. I also learned that, of her previous publicly known romances, Taylor's relationship with Travis is now her third longest. Most of them fizzled out after 3-4 months, and here we are on month 7 (she said in her Time interview that they started hanging out right after he talked about that friendship bracelet in late July - and they were a couple by the time she went to that first game in September).
I'm happy for them and wish them nothing but love and happiness.
Listen to her songs you will be hooked😊. She is not only country but pop also watch her Reputatonand ERAS tour to learn more. Many of us kiss many frogs till we find the one. There are too many synchronicities etc for them not to be the one . They are the ones they both were waiting for. We love to see love. Omg so you were the sandwich guy lol nice🥰🥰
Both of them had prior relationships and that’s the past. Only Travis and Taylor are in the relationship. It’s none of our business. Tokyo is 17 hours behind the USA. Taylor is shown on TV because she’s in love

Truth of the matter is … the people complaining are a very loud minority. Every single chiefs game this season has broken viewership records surpassing previous seasons. Jerseys for both Kelce brothers , Mahomes and Hurts have not left the Top 5 charts. Videos posted by the NFL on Tik Tok or IG that involve Kelce or Swift are guaranteed at least a million views.
At the end of the day the NFL is a business and this season has proved that growing your audience (instead of gate keeping) with a totally new demographic is good for business. So complain all you want but your crying on social media will not stop them.
Now the swifties are “adopting” Pacheco, Rice, Jones…all those guys are getting love.
Honestly what got me like both Kelce brothers wasn’t Swift it was the Kelce doc on Amazon Prime. As a midwesterner I identify with them strongly. (Pre Taylor) and i like her music but wouldn’t call myself a swiftie, that said her previous relationships were always with these guys worried abt her over shadowing them. I think Travis isn’t that way. I hope the go the distance bc they seem good for each other. I started watching the NFL games after watching QUARTERBACKS on Netflix and that was a great introduction to the game, I would then watch the games on slow-mo so I could follow it better and slowly learn the rules and now I'm hooked! I'm from Australia.

ESPN is realizing they receive largely negative reactions on all the Swift content they post and now need their employees to shill for them so ESPN can continue exploiting this publicity stunt. With the NFL selling the Chiefs game to Peacock, I would be comfortable in saying the Chiefs, at least, making the Superbowl and likely winning it has already been written, if you will.

As a female NFL follower, I think people are over reacting to this Swift Kelce relationship and the coverage of her being at the games. I am watching your show, have been now since September, so yes her fans love Travis and now football. Also Taylor Swift just finished playing at the MCG, three shows, 288000 people (at full capacity she can't fill the stands behind the stage), was amazing.
idk why americans are like these. Gatekeeping football to new audience may it be women or international, cant grab the concept of sports business. When she stops going to travis games maybe most of her fans will too, but there is a small percentage of them that will actually love football and will introduce it to others. There are more cutaways to the sports talking heads cutting out replays than this. (and I'm 61 with a lifetime of playing and coaching sports and not a Swiftie.)

Nobody has a problem with showing celebrities on a NFL broadcast. Everyone has a problem when it became a clear agenda and they have to show her after every single positive Chiefs play. The Detroit Lions game showed Eminem 2 or 3 times quick and painless. That is the difference. I think its great she is there supporting her man and being a fan. What I am saying though is it does not have to come across as a blatant agenda. Once or twice on game changing big time moments. Boom thats it quick and painless. Right now the NFL feels like its trying to appease her and it is not at any fault of her own. She already has an investment be happy with that. Even she has a limit on what she can bring in. Its like they show her a few times during the game because they think her fans are gonna lose interest in the game or they are hoping late to the party fans will emerge. Its absolutely preposterous and the officiating in some of these Chiefs games does not help whatsoever either. Some of the worst officiating in the modern era has gone down more for that team than any other in recent years.
