We know that Ozempic works by preventing people from feeling hungry. So does intermittent fasting and a low carb diet. My take away about Ozempic is that it allows people to not feel hungry while eating a high carb diet. If they were eating a low carb diet, they likely wouldn't need Ozempic. That's the magic. If you just have to eat carbs and vegetable oils daily, Ozempic is for you!
Such a great and thorough explanation. I'm 61 and lost 160 by following Dr Jason Fung and learning how to eat low carb, healthy keto and fasting. I'm maintaining well with healthy eating, exercise and living a fasting lifestyle. These drugs weren't available to me when I started almost four years ago because I was self employed with no health insurance. I've heard these drugs are very expensive. Considering the world wide obesity epidemic, how can this be a sustainable solution financially? Thanks for all you do 👍
Are you talking about another video? Dr Ali doesn't even mention LDL in this video, much less link it to atherosclerosis. In fact, I've watched a lot of Dr Ali's videos and he's on a mission to show that LDL isn't the problem, because it's supposed to be there. He also shows where researchers in the past were wrong about cholesterol being the cause. So show us where he says LDL causes atherosclerosis?
45 seconds in... I Can already say that he is wrong about one aspect.. We have no mechanism to tell us we are full, That only applies to eating carbs... (Which are not supposed to be the main staple in our diets as hunter-gatherers). Try Over eating red meat.. It''s not possible.
Very wrong!!!! This person, starts in with completely wrong premise. Our body have SEVERAL mechanisms that tell us we have gotten enough to eat. Ciao, full stop, not need to hear more (I don't care about his so called academically degree, In am also MD and biologist)

Muscle wasting is very bad. I see it with my family member.
When he linked LDL and atherosclerosis I was out.
Last time I listened to this doc he loved LDL!

SUBSCRIBED!
So we weren't designed for this era? I'm confused.
We were designed for stone age times. Our biology hasn't changed, even though our technology and food supply has changed radically.
Gave me horrible depression.
Ozempic is good 😂 keep eat 🍩

The EGO of this doctor will never be available to see the other side of his knowledge 😢
Et tu, Brutus?
@mrazik131 pot...kettle...black.

Open minded, eh?
He says "mechanisms" a bit later, but you had gone by then.v😊
PS personally, as a carnivore, I think taking Ozempic is lunacy.
