- Today I give the worst (entertaining) tour of Ancient City near Bangkok, Thailand. I have been wanting to visit this huge park for months. Muang Boran (Ancient City) has miniature versions of all 76 provinces of Thailand. This 650 acre park is not to be missed for its splendor and size and is located just south of Bangkok in the Samut Prakan province. Join me as I give you a, somewhat, guided tour of the park and try not to crash our golf cart.

This is where the beauty of 77 provinces of Thailand are modeled here. I used to come here when I was a kid in elementary school. I remember everything and there are many things that are new, many things have been improved. Paint it more beautiful. In the past I only used walking as there were no golf carts for rent like now. Walking made me so tired that I remember it to this day. I miss and have to come here one more time to take beautiful pictures and reminisce about my past.

Omg, I was there yesterday! Oh boy, it is huge and I am so LOST! Can't complete the tour around the whole park and I intend to go again to finish it! The park is super amazing!

It’s a very interesting place. Rob and I definitely had a lot of fun basically screwing off that day.

I’ll be honest with you, I was not that impressed. For being a nearly 2 hour round trip by car from where I live, I think there’s are better places to visit.

Take BTS to Kheha, it’s the last stop. Then you just need a shirt bike taxi ride.
😆 I skipped this enormous park on my recent trip for apparently good reasons! Had heard it takes lots of time, is a bit hard to navigate, no photos are allowed inside the temples and that the heat can be too much. Once they retouch the paint for the high season, I might get excited about it again. Kept picturing you placing a police siren light on top of the golf cart. 😆 🤣
Pictures are allowed everywhere. It’s a cool place for sure!
@@LifewithSerg Thanks. Some videos I watched a year ago made it clear that, at least in those really impressive temples (towards the end of your video), photos were not allowed inside. Maybe they've changed that policy. I hope so! Definitely want visit this site one day. Take care.

Rob and I had a great time. They have maps here. Nong Nooch is much more interesting, in my opinion. I’m pretty sure both are owned by the same people.

The ancient city and sanctuary were founded by the same owner.

Lazy? You can explore the park on a bicycle- more fun.
Most of the wooden structures ( houses and a couple teak wood temples) were disassembled and relocated at the park.Some buildings are replicas. It helps to look at the map to know which buildings are original and which ones are copies.The information signs in front of the buildings and statues ( copies) will give you the history. Ancient Siam is a great place to learn about Thai architecture. ( not for those tourists into the Soi Cowboy “culture”).
You go ahead and spend a few hours riding a bicycle in 40° heat there. Lol. I prefer not to have heat stroke and actually enjoy what I’m looking at. Ha ha.

I'm 52 and I went to this place once when I was in middle school that was about almost 40 years ago. I've never been back since. The place is good but too hot and the way that they service you or provide you is boring. If you have a chance go to Nong Nooch garden in Pattaya is a whole lot better.
I actually mentioned in this video that I went to Nong Nooch about two weeks ago. I made a video about that as well. Yes, Nong Nooch is much better.

Boring for someone but not me. I been there many time. My first time Neary 30 year ago when entrance about 50Baht and only bicycle service. But most we go by car, last time maybe 5 years ago. They change much from before but I still love the atmosphere here. Not too much people.
