Great video my friend! I am Greek and a PAO fan and I love watching NBA. However nothing gets me more excited than Euroleague. About the fans. The issues in the final four was between, pao fans and fener fans outside the stadium and pao fans with crvena zvezda fans on the subway. Also most of the pao fans videos are from the celebrations in Athens not in Berlin Edit: Nunn scored 21 not 19, Sloukas scored 24 missing one free-throw and did win 3 Euroleagues prior to this one, but only 2 with olympiakos the other one was 1 with fener

I'm not saying Euroleague is better than NBA. It isn't. But the difference isn't so big that you can say that stuff. Also, your Top 3 players are European. So basic logic says basketball schools here are doing something right. Therefore, have some humility. A yearly little tournament between the champions of the different continental leagues would be a great idea. It would also give your clubs the right to call themselves "world champions" for the first time.
We need to have a true world championship. A competition with the best teams in the world. Maybe include the top 4 teams from Europe and top four from the nba.

itσ simple , fiba rules and a tournament with nba and euroleague top 4 teams , then you can call yourselves world champions... but it will never happen , bad publicity for thenba if even 1 team loses... because in 10 games they wont win more than 6 and thats certain.
It’s not that Americans don’t care about the rest of the basketball world only American media makes it difficult if not impossible to watch any basketball that the NBA is not benefiting from
If you consider that the NBA takes all the raw talent the level of Euroleague basketball is indeed very high. You also have to fight for every basket because they DO play defense in Europe.
They DO play defense in Europe? Which is why players who can't make NBA rosters go to Europe and immediately become better scorers. It's why the Kings gave up on Sasha Vezenkov... because he couldn't play defense.
A SACRED MARRIAGE. The European fan passion electrifies the players on the court. Such atmospheres any NBAyer cannot experience unless he has played in Europe and particular in Athens, and Belgrade. The European style of basketballing looks barbaric to the aristocratic NBA's. But the volcanic element in it casts it as an exclusive level of its own. Here we have a sacred marriage, the abduction of the bride. Paris carries away Helen of Sparta. Panathina:ϊkos the King and Real the Queen.
For non-euro guys out here, let's put a little context. I'm sure you know about the fans and ambiance in the stadiums, but you must know Greeks and Turkish hate themselves, generally, they had a war. NBA has great athletes and some amazing individual talent, but the game is far superior in Euroleaugue. It is richer, with more variations, more strategy, and not just a continuous trhee pointy shoot out. Big men are stll relevant. The bad aspect is thet Euroleague is importing, little by little, allowing players to constantly palm and carry the ball, travel in many step backs and not respect the pivot foot in certain moves. That, I find disgusting.
duhhh this is what happens when you franchise something, it stays at a certain standard. europe on the other hand has a DO or DIE mentality due to regulations. teams will launch own ideas towards how the club should be ran, who to scout and invest in, after years you can see the growth.
The most successful club in the EuroLeague is Panathinaikos and not Real Madrid. Yes, Real has more european title. But they won only 3 EuroLeague titles. Whereas Panathinaikos won 5 in the EuroLeague. So most successful european club is Real Madrid Most successful EuroLeague club is Panathinaikos

The team ball part I get but it's hard for me to get fully into it knowing that they're essentially 2nd division

Great video my friend! I am Greek and a PAO fan and I love watching NBA. However nothing gets me more excited than Euroleague. NBA is great to watch but I think European basketball is more about tactics which makes you appreciate coaching more than American basketball. In fact I feel like coaches in Europe get more recognition. Also Olympiacos coach is great and despite the reds being our biggest rival I can’t hide the fact that they are a great team in general the past years. I love basketball and I like watching both American and European but my biggest love will always be the latter as I am more used to it.

About the fans. The issues in the final four was between, pao fans and fener fans outside the stadium and pao fans with crvena zvezda fans on the subway. Also most of the pao fans videos are from the celebrations in Athens not in Berlin
Edit: Nunn scored 21 not 19, Sloukas scored 24 missing one free-throw and did win 3 Euroleagues prior to this one, but only 2 with olympiakos the other one was 1 with fener
Turkish fans tried to steal Panathinaikos fans' tickets and were hence detained by security.
crvena zvezda??
@@astarti23xx@astarti23xx Yes Pao and crvena zvezda have history from the 70's, and in the 90's crvena zvezda and olympiakos (Pao's biggest rivals became friends) became "friends". Great recaps man, I didnt have a chance to watch the games themselves, but this is as close as it gets :) Euroleague needs more RUclips presence, the quality of basketball is already surpassing that of NBA's
I'm French and I took my first league pass this year, mostly to watch Victor's games, but how disappointed I was ! The games were way way too long : about two and a half to three hours with multiple breaks and too much adds, poor strategy, low intensity, all for the offense, not really playing till the end of the games... Not at all the same vibrations and atmosphere.

Yeah. The EuroLeague, featuring players who can't make the NBA, is way better than the NBA. Kendrick Nunn is the best in the world.

Basketball in the US is about money and obnoxious egos.
Basketball in the EU is about basketball.
US hypercapitalism ruins litteraly evrything.
Just look at the defenses and the spacing. There s more people in the paint, there s less distance between players. Theres way more agressivity. The Timberwolves defense is childs play compared with this.
Every year the Euro league champions should play the NBA champs and let’s see what happens
Fair enough. With FIBA rules though..
The Celtics would destroy Panathinakos. The EuroLeague is made up of players who couldn't make NBA rosters.
@@mpc91 The last 2 times an NBA champion played against an Euroleague club was in 2010 (Lakers vs Barcelona) and in 2014 (Spurs vs Alba Berlin)
NBA champs lost both games.
Maybe include the top 4 teams from Europe and top four from the nba.
the gap would be even more huge tho, so i think that the champions of the nba and the champions of the euroleague should play together for the world champions trophy..
We need to have an Euro-USA annual game of the respective champions.
No point in doing that. FIBA and NBA play different rules. The games are different. They cannot compare.
What better way to start this tradition by having a Celtics Vs Panathinaikos game, the battle of the greens, the all time face of the NBA vs the all time face of the euro league

itσ simple , fiba rules and a tournament with nba and euroleague top 4 teams , then you can call yourselves world champions... but it will never happen , bad publicity for thenba if even 1 team loses... because in 10 games they wont win more than 6 and thats certain.
How about NBA rules instead, that way we foul out half the team when they can't touch.

It’s not that Americans don’t care about the rest of the basketball world only American media makes it difficult if not impossible to watch any basketball that the NBA is not benefiting from
Real Madrid in the finals reminds me of the Harden era Rockets. Live by the three and die by the three.
Honestly this looks more intense than NBA and the highlighted plays are beautiful.
The beginning with the fan base was awesome.
This video is amazing! Good job man!
Glad you enjoyed it!
So when you see Panathinaikos-Fenerbahce, you know it's gonna be even crazier! The finals Real Madrid-Pana is kinda like our Lakers-Celtics

Sloukas has actually won 2 euroleagues with olympiakos 1 with fener and 1 with panathinaikos no 3 with olympiakos
Those are clubs and not franchises!
We don’t do that bs.
duhhh this is what happens when you franchise something, it stays at a certain standard.
europe on the other hand has a DO or DIE mentality due to regulations.
teams will launch own ideas towards how the club should be ran, who to scout and invest in, after years you can see the growth.
even in regular season Euroleague teams tear each other apart, every game matters.

@innosanto not the most EuroLeague titles. The most European, yes. Please read again my comment carefully
Real Madrid, one of the best teams in basketball with probably the worst fans. Again going to a final four with only 50 fans. It happens all the time.
No : Monaco has 12.
European sports fans and Canucks and leaf fans are SO crazy.
This should be a lesson to the NBA officials. In Europe we watch real basketball, with real tactics and real defense. In Europe we do not look at terrifying body transformations of players in 1-2 years, felling that we look at Superman vs Batman. NBA became boring.
NBA champs vs Euro league champs would be a great way to end each season. It needs to happen!
