- Walkaround of my 96 5.0 Ford Ranger
302 v8 is from a 96 Ford Explorer
-Explorer GT40 intake
-1in intake phenolic spacer
-24lb injectors w/ calibrated MAF
-Catless exhaust with Borla Pro XS muffler
-Scorpion 1.6 roller rockers
-Dual sump oil pan to fit 302
Ranger Suspension
-Explorer 8.8 with disc brakes, creates a 5in rear drop
-2in rear shackles
-2in front drop springs
-3in DJM dream beams front.

A cam and headers would really wake that thing up. Nice ride.
It sounds like it has a mild cam in it already, a stall and gears would help out. that’s one badass ranger as it is!

Nice truck! Im thinking about swapping my mazda b2500 single cab with this setup. Been looking for a donor explorer/mountaineer. May even keep it 5speed!
Won't fit u need b3000
I know it fits 1998 and 1999 Mazda b3000 3.0
It also fits any Ford ranger 3.0 model only bc of how the housings bolt up
@@JUNEBUGLLC I was actually thinking about a T5 out of a mustang but I saw another video that someone used a 5 SPD out of a 4.2 f150(98-2000ish) and it worked as well. I'm still doing some research on it.

Nice build, clean for sure! Is A/C able to be kept in a swap like this? How did the alignment sort out with the Dream Beams?
I’m considering both the Beams and a 5.0 Swap for my Ranger at some point in the future. Nice truck!!
I need to recharge the AC. Everything for AC is in. I had to buy some MOOG alignment camber bushings to eliminate the negative camber.
I have the dream beams and 2” bell tech drop springs which comes out to a 5” drop about. There is still some camber not much. I put on a shorter tire upfront which helps from hitting wheel well.

Do you know where you got the corner grill pieces I can't find them for my Ford Ranger splash grill?
I ordered mine years ago, I don’t exactly remember. I just found these:

Manufacturer #SET-7828-1
I googled 93-97 Ford ranger splash grille and some of the corners showed up
What radiator did you use?
I think I used a 95-97 Ranger 4.0 Double pass radiator. Can’t fully remember.
What size wheels and tires?
Front: 245/40r19
Rear: 245/45r19
Both 19x9
@@svtcolten7439 thanks I daily an ‘09 sport 2WD super clean and slowly working on things. Headers coming in this week, and thinking of going with 19’s
