Thanks Ricky, what an amazing documentary finding out so much of your family history must have been so special I'm sure you had a few tears afterwards especially telling family when you got back home. Just like to say when you played at Aberdeen most of our neighbours in Longforgan were there and we all had a fantastic time hope to see you play the caird hall sometime. Thanks again Ricky
My Late Father- In- Law Was Born & Raised In Dunde. He married , lived & raised his family in Liverpool. Before he passed, he told me about the kellie castle Dundee. While I lived and worked in Glasgow, I had gone to see the kellie castle..to discover the ruminants of a kellie castle. I often stop and think to myself about James Henry Kellie. Fond memories..(except for the kellie castle story
Well done Ricky, Really enjoyed watching this. Grant Law is awesome too with Dundee family research, he helped me discover some great family history, i highly reccomend him and money well spent.
Dundee was such a nice place to visit. The people of Dundee helped me trace my family. DC Thompson, Family History, the Library .... Ethel Margaret Hunter Roy - her family lived at Lawrence St, and had a sweetie shop and her family lived above the shop.
The story of Dundee being told by someone who went to Dundee High is like the story of Panem being told by someone who grew up in the Capitol (excuse the Hunger Games reference, it was the only one I could think of)
@@scrimmy45 Dundee High is private school where the wealthy go. All of the other schools are underfunded, filthy jnd have huge attainment gaps. The rest of the city is a poverty-filled dump full of junkies (highest drug death rate in Europe) while they live in a bubble of elitist snobbery.
Ross name historically came from the Highlands in Scotland , your family likely moved from there during the Highland Clearance with two thirds of the population . a lot of people moved in 1846 the year of the potato famine .

Well done on such a professional video. I graduated from Dundee Uni in 1993. I still miss the city and try and visit each year.
I used to visit Dundee every year to see my family. I loved it and I miss it as my family have now passed away.
