@Oliver Seiring I think it's the vocals that bring my mind to behemoth. The growl/yell I love about nergal, brings back fond memories of falling in love with ezchatan (probably butchered that name. The album with the multi armed dude with swords) and evangelion. But the synth arrangements, while much less present and still not near as developed than anything I've heard dimmu do, the arrangements themselves bring a very strong dark castle vibe to my ears.
@Oliver Seiring nope. That's a pretty serious album, but that's not the one. It's called Ezkaton. Same multi armed guy, but hand drawn not a photo. Had to look it up for spelling purposes. Says it's an EP not an album. Not sure what the difference is. I just know I had it on CD back when. If you haven't checked this out, and you enjoy behemoth, you need to give this a listen. It's fucking baaaad🤘 as far as the synth, just the ambient arrangements (would be how I would describe it) you hear throughout at least 3 of the songs. I listened to it on my phone, with zero bass so maybe it's coming through louder for me and softer for you if your listening on headphones or speakers.
