I really enjoyed your reaction👍 Aurora rarely write songs about herself, she’s more concerned about what’s happening in/to our world/planet🦋 Her music and especially her lyrics has helped me a lot, there’s no one like her imo❤️ AURORA speaks about A Soul With No King during her live concert in Kingston at Pryzm: “I feel like our souls are lost, and I feel like our souls don’t know what to do. We haven’t given them any value, and we haven’t given them any [hold/home]. And I feel like we really need to prove to our soul that we’re its ruler - and we’d hear it and we will guide it by being just decent, [empathetic], good human beings. And I think about what’s happening in Palestine a lot when I sing this song because I don’t understand how in the modern time - in modern times like this - that we can disagree on whether something so heart-breaking is wrong or not. I don’t understand.” I know you have a couple of covers lined up, and I’m looking forward to them. But could you please react to Aurora with: “Some type of skin” live at Vevo It was filmed on the same day as A soul with no king, so it’s a stripped down version of the song. “The dark dresses lightly” live at the Roskilde festival. Both are songs from her new album😍

It was clear to all of us that you would like the song and the presentation. Yes, - Aurora's magic. She tells you the song and you paid attention. Good reaction and thoughts. Keep going, she has a few surprises up her sleeve for you. I already sub.
We sure need more Aurora fans showing up for her reactions. Her music reactions have been slowing down recently and getting less views. I discovered Aurora thanks to the reaction community. If we don't show up, channels will stop reacting.

Another Great live performance from Aurora, seriously she could sing the phone book and emotional move you,my friends often ask me what would be your go to song and performance from Aurora, honestly the truth is that you could probably pick any of her live performances she never fails to amaze you with her ability to produce amazing vocals with lyrics that make you think deeply about life and the world around you,but if I were pushed to choose one defining piece it would be Murder song 54321 from her concert at the nidarosdomen cathedral,it encompasses every aspect that for me makes her the best live performer I’ve ever heard,it emotionally turned a 68 year old man to tears so powerful was the performance.my friend enjoy your journey and as Aurora would say “let love conquer your mind”Warrior ❤️
Murder song , has been pointed out over a 100 times , so safe to say … and thank you for sharing your thoughts , I genuinely look forward to all comments and I try my best to give an honest reply 😊👍😎
Great reaction! I think you'd also love "Some Type of Skin" from the same Vevo session. Or perhaps you want to check out younger and rawer (but still amazing) Aurora, "Murder Song" from the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize concert.
She has always been fascinating to watch perform, so expressive, and she has only gotten better with age, like a fine wine. She had 10 years of dance lessons, 6-16 years old, she loves to dance. Your reaction was great, looking forward to the next one, wondering which cover you choose, thinking it is maybe Across the Universe or maybe Believer. Thanks!
@@alan-reacts65 also, if or when you do her cover of Across the Universe I hope it is the one, she has more than one performance, but this is the most favorite with fans, not going to provide the link since YT sometimes won't allow them, for some odd reason, here is the actual verbage to type in your search: AURORA covers The Beatles 'Across The Universe' for Like A Version
Welcome aboard! I honestly believe Aurora is one of those once-in-a-generation talents that will leave a permanent mark on contemporary music. We're the lucky ones, we got in early ;-) At 28, she already has an astonishing body of work under her belt - and she just keeps getting better. A soul with no king is Aurora at her finest, but she will keep raising the bar. That's what she's done for ten years. Recommendations? All of it. It's all different, but it all ties together.

Aurora has not confirmed this (yet at least), but I'm pretty sure that this is written from Mother Earths point of view, like her old song Soulless Creatures from 2019, where Mother Earth is calling humanity for Soulless Creatures. Here again, I think, it is Mother Earth speaking, and "you" in the lyrics is humanity, and she is calling us "a man with no wisdom" and "a soul with no king". This is a stripped down version with only the 2 instruments, I recommend listening to the album version if you are interested, it has a lot more instruments and is quite a bit longer. There is also a Nature Remix of the album version by Brian Eno, with some of the proceeds going to nature preservation.

I interpret this song as the earth speaking to humans. And our refusal to accept our connection to mother earth. Instead we align ourselves with "the devil" a.k.a. greed, consumerism, destruction" and give our "water" resources to these forces of evil. A soul with no king to me means you inhabit this human body, an earthly vessel but we are dead inside and not connected to the earth, like a headless chicken or a soul with no king. The final "nothing will ever change, no guilt, no shame" has kind of a sarcastic undertone - to mean that we will not change and reconnect to the true human spirit and mother earth unless we realise the guilt and shame of what we are doing and "call her name"
Sometimes when I look at Aurora I think of Lothlórien and Galadriel. Although the choice to give the role to Cate Blanchett was right, I could also imagine Aurora as Galadriel. She seems to me to be the perfect elf queen because of her Scandinavian aura, even without a ring she envelops you with her magic. Just had to get rid of the comment. There are 3 versions of this song out there. The one on her new album, the remix and this one live with VEVO. Interestingly she released the remix before the album was released as this version was featuring Nature with a charity aspect to it.
