1 thing though because you're playing botanic panic with chaser and peashooter on simple the potato would have the same amount of health on both fights. so if chaser and peashooter did 1 damage a shot like you said it did
it would've taken the chaser 150 shots to kill potato (like peashooter) not 175 shots like it really did.

yeah that is "defiantly" the best way to do damage
So the charge shot is officialy the best weapon, because its damage is almost not affected by the heart and twin heart charms. Now thats a strategy ;)
I mean, charge shot is already good weapon by itself. I beat entire game with charge, chaser and twin hearts.
Best weapons are roundabout and lobber but used together, i mean that you have to use te button of change weapons to shot and press it repeatedly and the shooting button just keep pressed, that combination will make more damage than the charge shot
Wrong, there's still same difference, except for potato doesn't have enough hp to handle any of those.

ok, I know this comment is 3 years old, but is it healing if it can add more health even if you're at max? isn't it more like adding an extra hit point than restoring one you've lost?
Oh OK, so that changes a few things. It makes the power reduced by 4% and 9% respecitively. Not nearly as bad as I thought. And actually, that makes the Charged Shots much more useful because their power is almost not affected by it.
Technically it is effected the most since it is a percentage but how mow damage it will still do similar

I was expecting the damage would be halfed or quartered. There’s a debugger that shows the boss’s HP if you are interested into finding deeper info on the game. Also, there is one level that lets you heal, and that is the king dice’s level. (It even lets you heal above the “maximum” health).

Thank you for the analysis! It's a good thing I came to this video to see what "lightly reduces" and "greatly reduces" translates to percentage-wise! There's a reason that I always use P-Sugar no matter what boss I fight to make parrying more simplified. The only time I use the heart charms is when I'm aiming for P-grades on the Run & Gun levels. Also, I believe the additional risk to using heart charms anywhere in the game is getting no credit for HP in the Results Screen.

As For The Results Screen... It Acts The Same Way, The Reason You Can Get Zero HP Is Because You Can Get Hit 3 Times Without Dying

smoke bomb is the best charm
followed by auto parry charm
i prefer not to use extra heart.
i have completed game in regular and expert, done all bosses at least A, and the devil on S.
Alice Soaker while one extra heart charm is good, 2 is not that great as it takes a significant amount of time to kill the bosses. I’ve tried using them but have decided stick to the other charms; and for ship levels i use coffee

Totally worth it if you are having trouble with any boss and need more attempts to get used to their attack pattern

who counted all those shots
After I Recorded The Footage I Went Through It Frame By Frame, Counting Every Shot :)
Knives&Snipes I thought you would have taken shots/second and multiplied that by the number of seconds, and maybe did that once or twice for an average.
I Tried That Originally, But I Wasn't Satisfied With The Results.... It Felt Like Cheating
So Instead I Do It Three To Five Times And Count Each Time Frame By Frame :)

Love how you did additional tests just to justify the result. You also taught me to never use the chaser!
The chaser depends,its REALLY helpful on perilous piers and Lets you concentrate on dodging more than attacking
In the charge attack part, the amount of shots is the same because the potato has 400 health in simple mode, and the charge inflicts 52 damage, and if the damage is reduced by 5 or 10%, it does not interfere, but if is in a boss with much more life, interferes at least 1 or 2 shots

Sorry, but if you use the peashooter for comparison (120 HP baseline), and two extra hearts require you to do 132 damage instead, shouldn't you calculate the percentage increase as (132-120)/120 which gives exactly 10 percent? I am pretty sure that whenever you calculate percentages, you should have the baseline in the denominator, as that is what you compare the new data against.

This was just out of curiosity, none of this really matters but- Moe Tato (the potato) on Simple mode, according to the Wiki, has 450 HP. The Peashooter takes 120 shots to kill him, which means the Peashooter does roughly 3.75 damage per shot (thank you, simple division). With a Heart Charm it only does 3.6 damage per shot, and with a twin heart charm it does 3.409090909090 (ect)

Only 4%? That's miniscule! I thought it would easily be 20%, but 4% decrease translates to a few me more seconds of hold the shoot button.
I can't bring myself to get rid of Smoke Bomb though...
