Welcome back to Kemper! Yes, considering how old the product is, especially the toaster/head and rack mount versions, they still continue innovating, and the liquid profiling is a great addition. Don’t forget that it can now be connected to usb as an interface. I will be following your experiments.
an idea for a future video - would be interesting to see you use a profile like 1 High, for example, and using liquid profiling, adjust the knobs to exactly how you set them for the 3 High profile, and then compare the 2 sounds back to back to hear how close liquid profiling can get
This would be really cool. I’ve had a Kemper for quite a while and - I’ll be honest - I thought it was going to operate like the Liquid Profiles from the outset. I was a bit disappointed to find out there were numerous profiles for the same amp at different settings rather than a single profile of an amp that then operated like the amp. I’m now seeing some profile makers creating multiple LPs for the same amp - which kind of defeats the purpose. Or shows the LPs don’t accurately reflect the real gain and tone stack of the amp. A comparison of a ‘normal’ profile and an LP that’s then set to the same settings as that profile would be really cool.
According to Leo Gibsons QC Capture vs Kemper Liquid Profile of his amps, when using the Gain & EQ controls on both units the Kemper Liquid Profile is 18% more accurate than the QC. So much for "old technology".
Kemper is the only relevant digital "Amp" I use - besides the real amps. Liquid Profiles are clever. The amp EQ really reacts - and sounds - totally different to the generic set Kemper offered until now.
Good for Kemper and their users. Liquid Profiling looks like a really handy feature for those who want or need a more seamless connection between a Modeler and the Amp its emulating. The creative possibilities of combining components is a road to new sonic discoveries.
Great to see you jumping back into the Kemper world at this time. Looking forward to seeing what you profile - all bases covered there for me. Bring on the Revv! :)
I have tried all the options and the Kemper by far is the best. You just have to know where to get profiles. I just tried a couple of your packs and I really love your 800 liquid profile and your 900 OD2 profile. Great stuff!
I love my Kemper (well, I have two...). You have to find the right profiles for *you,* but when you do, my God, it is wonderful. I did SOOOO much less tweaking and much more playing than when I had my Helix (I sold it for a second Kemper). I haven't upgraded the OS to 10 yet, just waiting for the official release, and I don't need the USB interface... but I will upgrade in time
I keep hearing peoples kemper sounding awesome and mine not being even half as good. What do you guys run your kemper through? Heard FM9 thru bogner 2x12 V30 and that thing blew my mind
Liquid profiling is cool but using gain 10 as the only reference point is a bit limited. I would be nicer if you could use a high and low reference profile to use to construct your liquid profile
ive been working as a backliner on live gigs in the last ten years with real tube amps and kempers with the same guitar players and venues, real tube amps have a presence and warmth that no modeler can match even though they became much better these days, great for backing and cleans but that compression is the last thing you want on a solo when you play live. it also makes young players waste hours in the rabbit hole of presets...then again it was created by a keyboard player .keep waiting for the next update.
You are correct with the rabbit hole of chasing sounds with kemper and the likes. I just treat as any other amp, and although I have access to many thousands of profiles I mainly use it with profiles I made from my own vintage amp collection. Why do you hate Christoph Kemper,so,much? I think he is a genius , having developed a very successful synthesizer when he was still a student , and using this knowledge to come up with a breakthrough technology with the kemper profiler

That is an excellent+ idea and would be very interesting :-) Thank you!

Sounds great! I'm gassing hard for that amp! The real thing but I wouldn't mind trying these profiles as well.....
I hope tonex will be able to do liquid profiling some day
From what I own, this is the best digital amp tone and and best unit, now. A unit that is 12 years old ❤.
Thank you and glad you are enjoying the tones 🙏🏻😀

Thank you! The Revv is definitely on the list :-)

Excellent video! Profiles sound fantastic! 👍

I enjoyed my Kemper when I had it. Took me many profiles to find my 3 I used to use.
Is it more dynamic/touch sensitive, and or more responsive to rolling off guitar volume?
I would say it is responsive in a very amp like way but not more or less than any other modeler solution. They are all so good nowadays :-)
I keep hearing peoples kemper sounding awesome and mine not being even half as good.

I have changed to Kemper myself!
It's a great unit! I haven't switched more than checking it out again 😀
@@JasonSaditesI ordered a Helix floor and couldn’t stand it compared to the Kemper. I have a toaster, a rack/remote and a stage plus an FM3. 😅
Been a Kemper user for 11 years, constant updates fantastic customer service, never been tempted to switch.
@@JonOsborneOfficial What is better in your opinion FM3 or Kemper ?!
@@JasminMusic1602 I like the Quad Cortex these days but I would say FM3 is better than Kemper.
