Can I use seam tape for knits instead of the clear elastic? I don’t mind buying it, but I already have a knit seam tape here at home.

What kind of elastic did you use? I've never seen these transparent ones...
Yes it's just transparent elastic I got that particular one on Amazon or you can find it in your local fabric store :)
