I am happy to say you are wrong. We lost to the Chiefs and everyone else lost to them as well. Dre Greenlaw hurt himself on a celebratory move in the super bowl and that cost us the championship because he was guarding Kelce. We win of we stayed healthy. Your complaint is weak. We are injured across the board and are still fighting to find ways to win. We are down a plethora of key players. You will probably blame us for losing to the rams when we lost our kicker. These things happen but I dont blast my team because of injury. If we had everyone healthy and still dropped games then you can cry all you want. That's why the Pearsall pick should have been Zach Frazier. Or at least a WR who could immediately play. Legette comes to mind as he is currently the #2 in Carolina and was taken one pick after Pearsall.

It feels pretty rare this year that Purdy has three seconds to throw without moving his feet. Not making excuses for him. He's also been missing reads but the left side of the line has not been good this year.

Niners are loaded with old players with huge salary. I could see guys like Charvarius Ward being traded if we lose. Plus we need to resign a young player like Demo. Deebo might be on the block too. Good player but large salary and getting older with injuries. Juice should be on the block if we can get some value. Guerrendo may take his spot. Leonard Floyd would fetch a pick. If CMC and Trent Williams didn't just extend then they would also be good trade candidates if we werent competing. One of the young Safeties, Brown or Hufunga, can also go if the offer is tight. Bell can be traded if we can get something for him.

CMC was present at mandatory minicamp. He signed his extension in the first week of June. Aiyuk didn't sign until almost three months later. People barley noticed CMC held out because only held out for voluntary offseason programs. No one cared either because he was OPY last year and was signed for 56% annually of what Aiyuk eventually signed for.

Wrong. Perhaps you don't remember, but it was Aiyuk who wanted to wait until all the rest of the top receivers had extended before he signed. The Niners offered him the 120 mil 4 years shortly right after St. Brown signed his deal in late April (they offered Aiyuk the same deal St. Brown signed). They wouldn't budge on that deal after that because Aiyuk isn't worth more than that. Lamb was the last top WR to sign, and Aiyuk ended up signing the same deal they offered him in late April/early May only four days after Lamb signed his deal. CMC and the Niners came to an amicable agreement early in the process. Meanwhile, Aiyuk was filming a documentary about his negotiations and demanding trades. His greed is the reason he wasn't ready for this season.
The primary challenge with implementing a stop-the-run strategy is the wide 9 alignment. The Niners lack the necessary personnel to execute this alignment effectively. While they had the appropriate personnel in 2022, not in 2024.
A defensive coordinator should be liberated to adjust the defensive strategy based on the available talent.
It may be a 3/4 alignment or a 4/3 alignment. Finding defensive coaches who can accurately set up the defense is a significant challenge.
In essence, I do not believe Sorensen has the autonomy to adjust the scheme, and I am uncertain of his ability to make the necessary adjustments.

Ricky Pearsall was hurt most of training camp and then got shot. He plays one game with a few days of practice and it’s like people were expecting Justin Jefferson to show up in a 49er uniform. Maybe he’s not aiyuk and never will be. Honestly I thought after he was drafted, we’d hear in the next 5 minutes aiyuk was being traded for a package of day 2 and 3 picks and we could have reloaded the roster

I have been a believer in kyle and john from the start but i think its time to consider stripping this team down. Any “star” not named purdy, warner, kittle, greenlaw needa be shown the door….. we have given out so many horrendous deals the last several yrs we need to clear the books and just roll with purdy and young guys

We can all take comfort in knowing Brandon got paid. They have running backs they don't use. Why do they need another? I've got an idea, why don't they try to integrate the players they have instead of leaving them on the bench and when they do need them they're not ready. You can't get game experience sitting on the bench.
This often happens when players hold out for more money and don't work with the team in training camp. Somewhat predictable.

Aiyuk is now a 120 million dollar wake up call/ lesson to Lynch and Shanahan. When the writing is in on the wall, MOVE ON. They passed on NEEDS in the draft to take a replacement WR for Aiyuk. Then we come crawling back and cave in to give him what he wanted. He had another year plus two franchise tags before we HAD to pay him. He would have been more productive this year had we NOT paid him. Now, it’s just money gone and player gone
