Game Review & Impressions
---------------------------------------------------
As a Game Gear owner, I'd always been quietly envious of what the Atari Lynx had been capable of, and this conversion of Toki is a testament to the handheld console's abilities.
What we have here is as good a conversion of the arcade original as one could wish. The developers paid slavish attention to detail incorporating as much of the look and feel as possible and, for the most part, it's excellent. The resizing of the artwork does cause problems in later levels where you don't have enough room to avoid boss attacks, but I was still left impressed by this arcade port.

Always been a big fan of Toki regardless of version! This version looks great and sounds amazing. Thanks for playing.

Genial, no sabía que existía éste port

Nice port!
Great conversion.
so cool graphics por atari lynx... so good for 1992... much better that game boy color
Awesome
👌
This is the original version I had for the Atari Lynx. This game was completely overhauled, and released for the Switch.
It’s often on sale for under £1. Bargain and it looks and sounds gorgeous. The exact same game otherwise
Looks nice and clear here, but if the Lynx was anything like the GameGear, there was much less clarity when playing games on the original, handheld console ☹
Not that I would have turned down the chance to own or play this back in the day!
The developers did a great job.
Nicer weapons/projectile sounds etc than the Amiga version too!
The Lynx screen was much clearer than the Game Gear imo
The Lynx screen was way better.
@@KeenRetroGames Did you own both consoles by any chance?
What was the Lynx like on battery life?
Gamegear was poor in that sense too
@@Ghoulies Yes, I owned both. Game Gear was worse, probably due to bad capacitors. I mostly played both plugged in.
I’m late but regardless this is not only the best port of Toki but it’s one of the best Lynx games. My opinion but seriously it’s very good especially playing on a Lynx II with McWill screen mod
i think amiga port is the best
This was way more fun than the Genesis version
Holy cowboy !
i had this game man, gettin some flashbacks haha !!

Loved that game, it caused to spend a lot in batteries; i still own the console (first model rev a) and this cartridge, but the console needs a fix and sadly i can't find anyone could fix that
The gfx are neogeo level of handhelds! ;-)
I miss my Lynx :(
I actually think it's more impressive than the Mega Drive version as it's more closer to the Arcade version.
Toki Going Ape Spit is the sequel, not a port.

One thing I always hated about the Toki games is that Toki can't dash. Makes for a very static game..
5 longplays of Atari lynx and don't have a playlist if Atari lynx?
Better than the ugly cartooish`remastered edition on Steam.
si estoy de acuerdo..un toki con un aspecto avenjetado con canas no tiene sentido
