Seems to be a thermometer with an external probe to monitor your roasts core temperature while it's in the oven :)
Or to make sure you haven’t got a fever from WuHu flu.
@@foxxster3565 You can wear your 'tin foil' hat to protect you from that!
I'd guess it's for the fridge. Since there's no generator, it can let you know if you need to run the engine to keep your food from going bad.
The type of probe on this unit is intended to measure ambient temperature inside the oven. You would use a completely different type of probe to measure core temperature of a roast.
@@jrmills89 Why would you need a thermometer for your fridge? It would be running off your batteries which would be connected to your boat monitor.
A perfect small family boat that has everything you need for a coastal or weekender cruiser. Another great tour of a lovely family boat nick.
Perfect for Mayorca. Ha.
That’s been well looked after for a 2016 boat, I have always said you can tell how a boat had been kept by how the engine bay is and this one you could eat your dinner off. Someone is going to be very lucky to snap this up. Nice tour Nick
Man, this is a lot of boat packed into just 37 feet. The single heads is the only way to go for this size.
She’s a beauty!
Another perfect yacht to live in. Thank you Nick.
My pleasure!
You're right Nick, this boat certainly does tick a lot of the boxes. Very impressed. Thanks for another great tour.
Thanks for watching!
Another superb size boat. Plenty of room. Fantastic that it has the waving mirror. Thank you for sharing this one with us Nick
Our pleasure!
The twist comment 🤣 dad humour on another level and equally as impressive as what this boat packs in !
Friday morning sitting on the front porch having coffee watching Aquaholics before heading to the office not a bad start. Still a little cold on lake Michigan for me to get mine out but can't wait love the video's
Good morning!
Seems like a pretty incredible value. When i watch these, i like to imagine if i could A) Afford it, and B) Could live aboard it, and as long as i sold my house, and lived on it full time, i could afford this one (with a 30 year mortgage lol) Great tour!
Are you factoring in operating costs (dockage, maintenance, etc) and asset value after 30 years? How much time have you spent living on a small boat in the middle of winter?
@@rockets4kids nope, because it was a dumb little comment that I thought about for like 14 seconds. I sorta thought that was obvious, but apparently not.
Actually, I can easily agree. This is a more spacious boat to live aboard than the one on which we sailed throughout Europe, and we spent two 7-month liveaboard spells at St. Kat's Dock in London, Sep thru April. As did many other cruising folks from NZ, US, Canada. Had a grand time and it was even cheap to do so.
@@jacktyler7599 Some people can manage this just fine. Most can't. It's important to figure out which one you are.
@@rockets4kids - can you post without sounding pompous?
Love that boat. And such great condition for a 6 year old. It's obviously been very well loved and cared for.
Really nice boat, we’ll equipped for all you need and a great price! Lovely review as always. Have a great weekend one and all!
Thank you! You too!
Very clean unit. The engine compartment looks brand new. I’d say that boats been well looked after.
What I really like about your videos is your always very respectful about people's belongings, and you always leave everything just as you find it. Top job on this one as always
Jeanneau Velasco 37. 37? Nick, I think they've fastened the wrong labels on the boat. This has the "roominess" of a 45 foot yacht and looks to pack the FUN of a sixty footer. TOTAL Four Seasons boat - that's costs spread over all twelve months. Hard to say cheap when a boat is outfitted so well, but price wise this is a give away. And, same fine folk that made Smugglers Blues Too, as well. Thanks, Nick.
A perfectly small but family friendly boat, I am quite fond of it! Thanks Nick!
Great boat well priced and it is nice to see you are very respectful and you don't slam cupboards doors and draws well done Nick.
I watch a few utube boat channel's and you don't rush, you calming talk and show it all.very comfortable. Thanks
I appreciate that!
Great weekender Nick, with a generous second cabin for a 37ft boat.
Nick - That hotloop is a cooking thermometer My lass uses one for baking as they're more accurate than normal internal oven thermometers.
Beautiful boat and beautiful video. Salute from Colombia
That is a temperature probe for cooking food in the oven. It's tip stays in the food while it is being cooked. 2:17
The host neglected to show a large storage area under the cabin floor just ahead of the engine compartment that has two stairs down to it and is fitted with plastic bins - very helpful for storing dry goods while cruising. It also has the dc breakers and connections. Having owned a 37F for three years, I concur that it is an extremely practical boat. Every time I think I want something larger, I realize that builders just cram more stuff (another head, another stateroom) and you don't end up with any more practical living space than this boat.
That's a real nice boat for 37 feet. You consider something like the Axopar and what it offers at the same length, you definitely get more with the way this is laid out. Obviously both are designed for different purposes, but always amazes me how much space they can get from a boat sometimes.
>>Obviously both are designed for different purposes
Well, precisely. Are Apples superior to Oranges because you don't need to peel an apple, or are Oranges superior to Apples because they have a skin that protects them?
It's not often one can write a review before seeing the video...but in Nick's case...I have no hesitation. What a delight it is to see this new video pop up, after a hard week at work, I can sit back with a Martini...relax...and watch a really great tour by the ever enthusiastic Aquaholic. I love these tours!
What a fab boat! The guest berth was super, light and airy, non claustrophobic, but maybe just make it a double rather than twins squeezed together with a tiny gap between the beds? I'd prefer some proper space between the twin berths or just make it a double....after all with two single duvets you could accommodate two children on a double berth no problem. Beautiful boat though...really liked the helm. Thanks for helping me unwind after a hard week Nick...I love what you do...
Very practical indeed, and they managed to fit the perfect amount of space in what's essentially a relatively short boat. Great tour as always!
You do seem to be going through my portfolio of boats I prepared! First the NC14 now the V37F! It's nice to see boats a few years on still being loved. The owner we sold it to originally went a bit over the top with the stereos! As a fitter though I do love the challenge of putting in extras that the factory never intended!
With a fly bridge too! Cool boat. So funny pushing buttons to see what it is. You’re a little big kid Nick! Thanks for the tour
Hey Nick this is a Cute little boat for a Couple to go boating in for your Short distance tralling .
She must've had a very resent refit, the engine room and engines are pristine. I caught the Chubby Checker 1960-61 dual song pun... CC had several variations of The Twist. Have a great week.
It's Friday and my favourite channel has posted another video. Have not watched it yet but looking forward to it at 4.00pm with a glass of Scotch later to start the weekend proper. Hope it's good nick or my weekend will be the poorer lol
Hope you enjoy it!
Great looking boat all around, the engine space is immaculate. Thanks Nick for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Great tour Nick! My god that was a nice boat, very practical and family friendly. Also the engines were absolutely spotless!
Showing my age, big telly programme was Bergerac in my teens, The millionaire character had a Princess 37, Wow, yes Wow, now a 37 seems to be a bit of a starter boat, how times change. Did get to live in Jersey for nearly 10 years, had a rib, then a 33 Bavaria yacht, and then an Aquador 26, all bought new at the Southampton boat shows, no VAT, lovely, favourite place to weekend…. Chaussey just off the French coast, back in the UK and back in a Rib
Very nice, sleek looking boat. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥
It's an oven probe.... allows you to monitor the temperature of the oven. Just stick the probe inside when in use
What a very well taken care of boat. It's 6 years old and looks new
Another cleverly packaged boat. Looks quite comfy and usable, and this one has obviously been well-kept. I do worry about two things:
1) I'd sure hope to never need quick access to the engine room at sea, since I couldn't use Nick's trick;
2) It looks like you might have to service the transmissions and shaft seals from the lazarette. Not a deal breaker, but you'd have to pull most of your stuff out of there. I guess that's the price you pay for being able to _have_ such a large lazarette.
It’s a digital thermometer for cooking joints etc.Use mine all the time has audible signal to tell you when the cooking time is finished. You can set the thermometer to how you like your meat rare, med rare or even cremated.Creaky floors my pet hate otherwise not bad
Cunning!
You're not supposed to bake a joint, the joint is supposed to bake you!
I'll get me coat...
Smashing boat Nick, loads of space & great value. Not sure I’d want my Mum climbing the Flybridge ladder mind, looked a bit steep! As for temp probe could be to cook moonshine… or just Sunday lunch?!? 🤣👋🏻
I loved the magical editing.Great review of a very practical boat.
Glad you enjoyed it!
And thank you Nick for this nice show of this Jeanneau Valesco 37 a nice family boat indeed a good size sleeping accomodation I like the bathroom with seperate shower Thank you Nick a great show again
Hey Nick now that is in very good condition despite being six years old and the flybridge is perfect in size and is very well equipped and would make a perfect Smugglers III, have a great weekend bud
I agree! A little out of reach though, sadly
Hi Nick. I wonder what this? . . . . Press the button. Flybridge withe 4 berths, plenty of space aboard, reasonablypriced. Simple layout and useable. Another great Aquaholic tour. Thanks 😊
Ever considered a head-mounted camera to leave both hands free?
Lovely boat.....great tour.
Looks like a brand new boat!
A very clean example and simple layout. Well looked after and a very practical yacht. Nice tour as usual Nick thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
I was thinking, you should make a Nick Bingo card for us to play along with as we watch each video :-D "I think I'm right in saying", "Tuck yourself away with a good book", "Storage about the place", "As they say in [wrong country]", etc. It would be fun haha
Hurrah
A galley up boat
As ever, Nice Nick.
Can you please do a video on a prestige 32 or 36 from the 2000's they are very popular and quite affordable and have lots of space
Nice tour! Where was the fridge? Or did I miss it?
20:15 It's a cooking thermometer. The probe is pushed in to read how hot things are. There's a rule of thumb for meat - '75 to stay alive'! Who would wnat to have food poising / the squits on a boat :-)
Then scrolled down and see this has been answered a few times already
What a lovely boat. Again has everything you’d need for a four person family to enjoy life on the water. Great tour. K
Another lovely boat nick and great video 🛥🚤⛵️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Thanks Nick For your Hard Work and information about What Yachts are on the Market. You are Much Appreciated. 👍👍👍😎😎😎
I’m really enjoying some of these sub 40’ boats! Love this one!
Another small affordable Boat. Good Use of Space. And a Flybridge on this 37 Foot-Boat is great.
A great upgrade to a starter boat. I still however dislike the aft galley in the main body of the saloon.
That engine bay is great nothing over the top clean free of clutter simple the only reason you need to go in there for is to check the oil or servicing nice little boat that 👍
That’s a superb boat Nick and as always, a wonderful tour. I’ve said it before, you have to hand it to the French, such great design and super practical. I’d be very happy with this 👍
Another very nice and practical boat. Thanks Nick… and I was not going to say it.. but.. thats a real contender for SB3.😎✌🏻🍻🤭 especially at your new berth.
I agree! A little out of reach though, sadly
@@AQUAHOLIC you need to get Marianne to work harder!
Now this is more like it after the last few boats. Thanks.
This is a nice boat. Thank you for the lovely tour. 🌼🌸💐
That’s for checking the temperature of your food in the oven
Great video again Nick
Greetings Nick
You are spot on, the helm side door to the starboard side deck is an awesome feature. The cabins are cozy and descent size as is the head. It is a well thought out design. The only detractor for me is the ladder to the fly deck, I’m not a fan. I prefer a stairway.
Thanks for the tour.
Cheers
Thanks Nick,
Looks to me a very nice family boat for making beutifull memory's...😎
it's a thermometer for oven temp for more accurate monitoring. not for putting in food.
Great video Nick. it is a roasting thermometer for meat in the oven.
Another Great episode from Nick. Big Thanks. This Yacht is Perfect for Family use. Very Good Price Good condition. And it could be Rented to. Thumbs UP. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice boat and even nicer engine hatch transition !
Thank you very much! 😃
Yes once again enjoyed my Friday video complete with a glass of malt whiskey before the wife comes home. This boat is all we would need for retirement and exploring, with plenty of room for entertaining friends. I do like the ease of the functions for manoeuvres, this would make it ideal for this old timer. I know your boat and this are of the same brand and I thi k they are as good as it gets. Great video Nick, Friday did not dissapoint.
🥂
I like the shape on the front, looks like a proper ship.
First again, what an accomplishment
Nearly!!
Well thought out design.
That's a really good price for something that looks very practical. Just when I thought that Marex from earlier was already hard to beat!
Really nice compact stylish boat . Thanks for the tour Nick
That is a meat temperature thermometer. The probe goes into the center of a roast, and you set the timer to the temp you want the meat cooked to, and then it will beep when it is done. I use them all of the time.
Very space efficient, this is the kind of boat I would want if I wanted a boat.
"...twist ... like we did last summer", haha. Love it!
Is the gentleman wearing a retro Casio today? Always a solid choice and a must in every collection.
Sure is! It's a re-issue.
Another excellent video but the boat is looking like so many we've seen lately.
we need to see your watch collection one day
It's a thermometer to monitor the temperature of the food you're cooking so it doesn't get overcooked.
It looks brand new.Kudos to the owners.
nice little thing to have. love your videos and channels!
Glad you like them!
Has everything one needs!
Wow classy Boat Nick Sir... Just simply awesome and fantastic Sir... And as always looking Dashing Nick Sir 😍
17 degrees been raining for a month in Sydney !! not so glamorous
I can't wait for the day that he does one of these reviews and then announcesis HIS boat!
Well, he has done a full walkthrough tour of his current boat, Smuggler's Blues II. But I guess you're looking for the surprise announcement.
The gadget is a meat thermometer used for roasts etc,
Hello. Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Very clean engine room. That surprised me.
Great packaging. Very well thought out
If you were in the market for a sub-40 foot flybridge, this would definitely be worth considering. But even if I could afford it, at my age I’m not mad keen on ladders, so that’s a mark against sub-40 flys.
But an excellent boat if it’s type.
Nice practical family boat with...." A plethora of multicoloured cushions" just a little homage to Don, blimey how long ago was that Nick? 😊
Cracking tour as per usual. 👍
I miss Don's cushion reviews...
The temperature probe is to put into your meat to know whether it's done or not.
Great boat and really enjoyable tour.
A lot to love on this one; great value for money as you said, although fairly sure that’s a kayak on the stern, not a paddle board 😆
You guys across the pond have quite good deals on starter yachts, especially newer models.
that is a cooking thermometer device with the soft wire so that it plugs into the meat and stays there so you don't have to open the oven and check.
