I always thought that people use sc1 ultras as a means to an end. It is their only tanky unit and it's primarily used more as a vessel (i.e. cannon fodder) to push into bases for hydras, but the gas cost doesn't really allow that, which is why it became more of a dark swarm/zergling meta, and even then they are more so the fodder than the zerglings which is just a huge imbalance Even with the SC2 ultras being bigger to balance out the splash damage, I'll take SC2 ultras any day.
i actually really like moments like these where your trying to figure out the player by their play style :P ! wish we would have more like those ! just give us games and casting player A and B and then we're left to figure them out :D !
he should have used his vultures from very beginning to buffer tanks. Artosis does this all the time vs Protoss. I works same way vs zerg. Like in the end he started to buffer with vultures and didnt lose so many tanks

The Terran had nothing but anti ground, why did he keep spamming lings and ultras. Mutas or guardians would have been a much better solution, or drops or anything. That'd force the Terran to go anti air, then you can use your upgraded ground units to fire back.
