0:54 GMA Radio-Television ARTS SID with a PROGRAM SCHEDULE for DECEMBER 2, 1989 (SATURDAY) • 7pm FPJ sa GMA • 9pm Regal Romance • 10pm M.A.D. (I think it's Martin After Dark, that was before the program's transfer to ABS-CBN later in the 90s as "Martin Nievera After Dark") • 11pm Concert at the Park • 12mn 700 Club International
This was happened a day after the most serious coup attempt vs. Former President Corazon Aquino. Luckily, we are spared from that gruesome moment in Philippine history.
At the time, lots of news stories by GMA and other networks (ABS-CBN, PTV, RPN and IBC, except ABC (now TV5) until 1992) in relation to the coup attempt, were aired in December 1989, but they preempted regular programming until Saturday and in the following week, with partial programming and the PBA Reinforced Finals on PTV, until the Government forces crushed the coup and thus saved Mrs. Aquino from the clutches of rebels and full regular programming resumed.

Coincided with the opening of the Tower of Power transmitter, GMA's newest TV transmitter tower to embrace Mega Manila thru channel 7, a year before, on November 7, 1988, at the time, at 50kW capacity.
The computer graphics being used, is a combination of some of the tourist places; the majestic Mayon Volcano (Albay), Banaue Rice Terraces (Ifugao), Luneta with the Rizal Monument and Rajah Sulaiman Park (Manila), Magellan's Cross (Cebu), a Vinta boat (Zamboanga) and floating houses (Sulu and Tawi-Tawi), but with three TV towers embracing Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to cover GMA's Provincial TV stations and three beams forming a giant TV tower, the Tower of Power transmitter, prior to the Rainbow Satellite in 1992, to deliver GMA's programs from Manila via satellite.

Thank you for this bit of information. JAM Creative looks like a very talented agency and has created numerous jingles for various other stations as well...and they are still in operation as of today.
Concert at the Park sounds familiar... I wonder if this was a weekly show or a one-night thing? Because I remember seeing a video of The Dawn performing there.
It's a weekly musical variety show featuring concerts at Luneta Park from orchestra to Rondalla and special performances by the best OPM singers, formerly aired on this channel until it was moved to PTV in 1992.
