AV Chubby 127 | Testsession auf dem Dümmer

Die Marke AV Boards ist eine der jüngsten im Markt und ich habe etwas gezögert, mir ein solches "noch unbekanntes" Board zu kaufen. Was mich dazu gebracht hat, ist die Tatsache, dass Aurelio Verdi (Gründer von AV) über 20 Jahre als Shaper bei RRD gearbeitet hat. Das Versprechen der Homepage ist groß:
"Aurelio Verdi gives his customers the chance to sail the sea with confidence and power: in fact, in his small factory located in the splendid territory surrounding the maremma coast in italy, the shaper works daily to spread the quality of his new brand, AV boards.
A new, fascinating challenge that aims to introduce international enthusiasts to what it means to have the fastest surfboard, kiteboard, sup and surf in the world.

Heute habe ich das Board das erste Mal aufs Wasser gebracht und mein erster Eindruck ist sehr gut. Obwohl die Bedingungen sehr böig waren und natürlich beim ersten Mal noch das Feintuning nicht steht, war ich begeistert, wie frei das Board über den Chop fliegt. Mit 44 km/h hatte ich auch schon eine recht hohe Geschwindigkeit erreichen können.
