- Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). A bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22-year-old has just met the girl of his dreams...literally. Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It's getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart's ass-and now is back in town-to the teenage distraction he's trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn't been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.
As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues' gallery from her past-from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsome identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.

Ridogmusic haha, yes. But just as a fact, everyone is actually evil in this movie besides Knives. Even Scott. Think about it, he dated a lot of chicks and has a bad reputation about it, he cheated on both Ramona and Knives AND his opposite self is a really nice guy (as Scott said himself)

This movie had more Sonic sound effects than the Sonic movie itself.
As a Sonic the hedgehog fan and a Scott pilgrim fan.. I can only recall hearing 2 ring sound effects and 1 bonus stage sound effects.

Plus, the whole concept of trying to win the new chicks love by defeating her evil exes while living in Canada is the dumbest idea for an anime/manga turned live action movie like Dragonball Evolution, the sequel trilogy, Assassin’s Creed movie, Warcraft, the Saints Row reboot, Diablo mobile, JRPG games, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, CoD Vanguard and WW2, Minecraft, Fortnite, Guitar Hero, Rock band, Glee, Joe Biden and his administration, Biden supporters, Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell supporters, the Oscar’s, people that are professional victims, people that overuse the phrase “I am offended” to get what they want in life, transgenders, hipsters, people that vape, twilight fans, Bubsy bobcat 3D, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods shoppers, Vegans, virtue signalers, climate change protesters, Antifa, Marxists, BLM, people that go vacation in Mexico, Central America, Cuba, South America, and India for “spiritual awakening,” Californians, the Turning Red movie, High School musical movies, Grease movies, guys that put grease in their hair and wear hairnets all the time like they work in a public school cafeteria thinking he’s going to have sex with super hot chick, but instead knock up a chick in high school or go to a Mexican girl’s 15th birthday party when they are 21 years old and knock up the birthday bitch, fast and furious fans, people that play GTA Online, white women that put raisins in everything, feminists, make feminists, gun control advocates aka sex offenders, people from the northeast USA, people that commit incest, Ted Turner, people that go to art museums for fun, cyclists, people that want to make Texas like California, church ladies, missionaries, CNN, MSNBC, The Young Turks, Mr. Beast, Wes Anderson movies, people that think Amy Schumer and Sarah Silverman are hilarious and original, the French and Belgians, the Swiss, Greta Thunberg, Al Gore, John Kerry, John McCain, the Epstein Island pedophiles, Michael Moore, Jane Fonda fans and parents that take their kids to drag Queen story hour, all ages drag shows, and force their kid to dress in drag to show that they’re an “ally” to pedophiles around the world.

I absolutely love how the trailer begins making this movie out as a quirky romantic comedy and then shifts into the insane movie it actually is. I love Scott Pilgrim.
14 years later this movie will be the saving grace of action and not borefest of drama and horror and some genres that i don't fucking care was the MCU woke bullshit that wasn't fucking spiderman is madame web. terrible movie but i will give it back for scott fuckin pilgrim. (i also bought the comic online and the video game one which is totally a banger media than most days of woke media)

Cool trailer but bad for marketing and this is what happens when a great movie has bad marketing. Production cost for the movie 60 million. Total box office world wide. 47 million. Studio loses 13 million cause of bad marketing. And its sad cause this is literally in my opinion one of the most creative and coolest movies I ever saw that i wish got more credit than its gotten over the years

The fact that we all saw the movie when we were in our early 20s when it came out and the cast were between 21/29 and most getting started in the industry make the movie even more nostalgic.
"we all saw it in our early 20's" - lol sure, universal truth xD I saw the movie later probably in my early 30's (just turned 39), not in the theatre, but it's one of my absolute favourite movies for sure! The Netflix show was a lot of fun, but it didn't reach the heights of the movie.

I honestly became obsessed with this trailer. I watched it so much and was so freaking hyped for the movie. I went out and bought all the graphic novels that were available at the time and became a huge fan.
The casting of this movie is spot on, great talents and that too before they got really famous.

A perfect encapsulation of late 2000's nerd culture, back when everyone used "epic" to describe nearly everything on the internet. This movie already feels like a time capsule from that era.

This trailer introduced me to The Prodigy.
Ramona has this bag with a star on it. It is always the same color as her hair ( Same with her clothes but that is easy to notice ). Did anyone else notice that before they check after reading this?
Scot wears a shirt with zero on it and likes coke zero.
the 1st ex has one eye covered with hair.
the 2nd points with 2 fingers and has 2 tatoed on his neck.
the 3rd is part of a 3 piece band and has a shirt with a 3 on it.
the 4th if fought in a bar called four.
the twins tern the volume to eleven which is 5 and 6 added together.

Ramona's hair also corresponds with Wright's three flavors Cornetto trilogy. In the first act, her hair is hot pink (just as the ice cream was in Shaun of the Dead), in the second it's blue (like the one in Hot Fuzz) and though the World's End hadn't released yet, Ramona's hair is green in the final act, which also happens to be the color of the Cornetto wrapper in the World's End

I got the chance to show this movie to my nephew who didn't believe me that it was a good movie. He was basically falling asleep until the moment Mathew Patel showed up, then his entire mood changed and it turned into one of his favorite movies of all time like *snaps* that. It was hilarious to see that shift in his mood.
Fact: It took almost 40 tries to get that 1 second package in the garbage clip

@@breevonnebenan794 The only boring thing is having to read your copy pasted, run on sentence of a comment in multiple threads. If you think the fights and the trailer tell you everything, there's clearly a lot about the movie and it's messages you didn't understand. there's really only one section that gets a little slow and drags on a bit too long, otherwise this movie had me(and apparently millions of others) gripped the entire time. Clearly the writing was wasted on you.
Side note: why are you on the trailer of a movie you don't like? Seems like a waste of time to come all the way here just to comment negativity.

Didn't know the comic book, video game (not into them) or the story. And I'm way older than everyone in the movie. I barely had enough interest to watch it, can't remember when, where or why I did. I guess because I'm a Toronto boy and there was nothing else on. But what a gem, relentlessly entertaining, funny and original! I'd love to drink and talk movies with Edgar Wright, love his films and we share the same favourite, "Phantom of the Paradise".

Great movie, but really wished did away with a trilogy (one movie = 2 volumes of the graphic novels). That way it fleshes out the storyline better than cramming all the six graphics novels into a 2 hour movie.
It didn't take two books to defeat Todd Ingram. Though Todd was introduced near the end of the 2nd book along with Envy and Lynett, Scott didn't confront him until the beginning of the third book after Lynett punches out Knives's hair highlights.
It should have also been animation. (Like Scott Pilgrim vs. Animation). With the actors being the characters' voices.
Of course, since the first movie didn't really do that well, there would have been one movie of a trilogy. Which would have sucked.
I don't really see a novel like this being divided into three films...
