CT3 out is the best outcome for the success of the team. There isn’t even a glimmer of anything there with him, unlike Lux who is on an upswing and hitting the ball with more power now, or Outman who has had more success and has been consistently hitting deep shots to the outfield

Yes, .083 is a great batting average!

I’m convinced Outman contributes nothing to the team. His time hasn’t come yet.
CT3 has, in fact helped the team in many ways in prior seasons.
One thing I’ve noticed, perhaps you may as well, he doesn’t look happy… EVER. I’m not sure he actually enjoys the game.

Including this year, CT3 has $26M left in his contract. Can’t just let him go.

Maybe having Jason Heyward back will shake Freddy out of his hitting slump

Dude sucks. There is a reason Cubs let him go with a year still left on his contract. Dude was mid last year. Only reason it looked good was bc he hit so bad with the Cubs.
And he dissapears in the playoffs. 43 games there and has a .148 batting avg

@tocadadj2951 But hey, he rejuvenated his career with the Dodgers last yr, did well, when people though age caught up with him, had a decent year, he can play still, prove doubters wrong.

Dodgers should be focusing on extending Teoscar, like they did Will Smith.

They need to do this. Maybe they are holding this in their back pocket as insurance in case nothing happens at the trade deadline. I love this guy, and he obviously loves playing in LA

It's crazy how the Dodgers are viewed as the villain and expected to crush, but the pressure must be getting to some of them. The slumps that some of them are in is made bigger than what it is. Such is the expectation of being on this stage.

Absolutely I totally agree with you it's amazing I've been a Dodger fan since 1963 every year every single year especially this year they're going to kick everybody's ass well as of today take a look I know they're pitching still coming up from the injuries but we'll see what happens I'm a little disappointed though all they talk about is the top four, well I'm not too impressed you we'll see sorry to b**** about it but I'm pissed off with the way they're playing anyways happy trails everybody

It feels like we need an emergency video to discuss which *two* roster moves will be made to offset Heyward *and* Vargas re-joining the Dodgers. Is Outman going down to OKC and CT either goes on the IL or is let go?

I really thnik part of Freeman's struggles aren't just mechanic. It seems uncomfortable batting 3rd, I'd try switching him with Ohtani.

How in any way is this a tough decision? Eat the contract and part ways with Taylor who basically is done. Outman can still be designated and they could call up Avens or trade for an OF. Face it, this team has lacked a contact bat and it has cost them. Arreaz was the best option, but he's gone. The next best is Steven Kwan, but Cleveland is contending and won't move him. After that, it could be yoshida from Boston or bichette from Toronto. Bichette has more of a performance record but is off to a Taylor-like start to the season. Bichette does swing at a ton of pitches out of the zone and doesn't walk. Yoshida also doesn't walk, but has much better plate discipline although with less power. Both play positions the Dodgers could slot in (yoshida to left, moving Hernandez to right; or bichette to SS and Betts to second). Not sure either team is ready to sell, but I would guess Boston would be more likely to move yoshida than Toronto moving bichette, unless management truly wants to blow it up, and it could). Outside of that, there are only bullpen trade options. But I have firmly believed since the off-season, this team lacked a contact bat to hit either second or ninth, that would solidify a lineup with far too many swing and miss dead sticks.

Out man really can't find a groove. Team had been patient too long. Dfa taylor or release. He's clueless. But , this team is streaky and looking more like last few years as well. There's a crack in the armor of this team. I don't see them going far in the post season like usual.

It seems to me that if the immediate move is to bring back Heyward then Outman would be the move simply because Outman needs ABs. Splitting platoon ABs with Heyward makes no sense. The Taylor decision will come when they promote Vargas.

Putting Lux, Barnes, Outman and CT3 in the same lineup is a GUARANTEED loss. Only Roberts could do something that dumb.

Despite his offensive stagnation, CT3 has positional versatility. Outman needs to go down and work on his ball to bat skills. Too many Ks and, overall, unproductive at bats.

It is saddening watching CT3's facial expression even after a hit. A look of relief that doesn't seem to boost his confidence. The weight he carries seems to be insurmountable.
Saw a video about a mental health coach that suggest showing players a hype video to show the player what they can do and have done. Maybe CT3, Outman, and even Pages need a hype video.
