  • Flying a drone requires patience and practice! A windy day to practice but expert flying doesn't happen without a lot of effort. There is a long list of things you need to learn in order to fly your drone. Make sure all batteries are charged (phone and drone). Drones tend to eat batteries quickly. Two --you'll need to be able to control the drone. This means learning flight patterns (how do you turn, land, fly, hover, etc). Unfortunately, I lost my first drone in the ocean. It was definitely operator error. From what I understand it is pretty common to lose or crash at least a few times.
Once you've got that figure out you need to learn how your drone records video and takes pictures (can you move the camera lens? How? What affect does it have on what you are recording?). Once you start recording you will need to transfer video and photos to your laptop or phone for safe keeping and editing. Edit the footage so it is visually interesting and add music. This can take anywhere from five minutes to a few hours. Finally, upload it to youtube. Sound simple?
While flying a drone might look easy it is a lot of work and requires patience to learn!
