    My main circle of friends are all outdoor activity enthusiasts. They go MTB downhill or Snowsports during winter. This would be a fantastic thing for us to purchase but its expensive. Pretty cool if the entire squad each had one.

    Hello, great video. I emailed customer services but didn’t get a reply,
    For skiing, which is better, the Outdoor or Packtalk Edge?
    The edge has a better range? The Outdoor has a lower range but seems more user friendly with buttons?
    Thank you

    how does the intercom affect music playing? It stops the music, or it plays over the top or the intercomm voice is rejected entirely when music / phone is playing?

    Looking for suggestions for this scenario... 2 Motorcycles using Edge, and a vehicle pulling a camper trailer, using the outdoor. Vehicle would best use an external antennna, and wired headset with microphone. Is there a way to boost the range of the unit in the vehicle?

    Once two or more units are paired do they stay paired even after switching them off? Or do you have to repair them each time?

    Is there a video of someone using this with an open face MTN bike helmet? I'm not sure this would work well with my helmets

      Hi Jon, for an open face bike helmet we recommend using it with wired speakers (the Packtalk comes with an adaptor cable).

    @TheTurtlehead91 did you have any issues with wind noise when moving at 20+ mph? I'm going to purchase these for my friends this ski season but the wind noise factor is the only thing I'm on the fence about.

    • @cardooutdoor
      @cardooutdoor  9 месяцев назад

      Hi! The Packtalk Outdoor will block out wind noise, allowing you to hear your friends clearly while on the slopes.

    Does anyone know whether this can be used for watersports? I'd like to use these for kiteboarding or winging where the unit would be continually wet, though not deeply submerged. The waterproof specs on the Packtalk seem great, but I am concerned about the USB-C connection - is the connection water resistant (e.g. IPX6) as well? Could I set the base unit up with a waterproof speaker/mic and the whole thing would work? Thanks!

    • @cardooutdoor
      @cardooutdoor  8 месяцев назад

      Hi! The Packtalk Outdoor unit is IP67 waterproof, so if you set it up with waterproof speakers and mic you will be able to use it. Please note, that the JBL speakers that come with it are not IP67.

    Picked a set of these up along with a few competitor options. I have to say, the sound quality is unparalleled. It's amazing.
    I loved these, but am having problems with the mics. The user sounds so far away when communicating. I've moved the mic around all over the chin strap, but it doesn't seem to have an optimal position to make the communication clear.
    I'm having a hard time believing you guys nailed everything out of the park, but the voice. Any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot this further?

    • @cardooutdoor
      @cardooutdoor  4 месяца назад

      Hi Ryan! The Packtalks communicate independently from any networks, meaning that you don't need a phone - the devices talk to each other. You can connect the Packtalk to your phone to stream your music or make phone calls. In that case, each device would be connected to one phone.

    How thick are the speakers that fit in the ear pockets of the helmet?

    • @cwardak
      @cwardak 4 месяца назад

      The speakers are way thinner than the Outdoor Tech ones. That's because they are just speakers. The main Cardo unit houses the wireless chip and battery so the speaker can stay thin. They even sound better than the new Outdoor Tech Chip 2's.

      @@cardooutdoor "At the moment" does that mean a software update is in the works too allow Bluetooth pairing to another device? One use case we have for this is pairing to the cars handsfree Bluetooth. It allows us to have short distance communication while traveling between spots. Also, pairing a second headset allows us to have one Cardo per snowmobile as the rider and passenger are literally right next to each other. Gives an entire new level of versatility and worth to these amazing tools!

      also would either of those products be compatible with a sena 20s

    • @cardooutdoor
      @cardooutdoor  8 месяцев назад

      Hi! The difference in range stated is due to the environmental differences between roads and the outdoor (there are more obstacles in the outdoors like hills and trees that can reduce the range). But it is based on the same DMC technology as the motorcycle Packtalk product line. The other differences are mostly about the form, attachments and button configurations. Packtalk Outdoor is not compatible with the Sena 20s.

    • @cardooutdoor

      The Outdoor comes with it's own audiokit consisting of the 40mm JBL speakers with a wired microphone attached to it. The motorcycle microphones won't fit the Outdoor product.@@TrillasAdventures
