Regarding the back luck protection: As I recall from the set 4 days, if you're shown a headliner of a specific trait, you won't see that trait again in the next few shops as the headliner trait, that way if you're looking for idk Mosher Urgot you won't see Country Urgot everytime he gets rolled as the headliner Thing with this is that if you found a Mosher Sett, that still counted as a "Mosher headliner" showing up, so to keep looking for Mosher Urgot you'd buy and sell the Mosher Sett to keep Mosher in the pool of possible headliner traits Now, I might be mistaken, I couldn't find reddit posts about it and looking through vods is not something I can afford to do, but it worked something like what I described
I've gotten to Diamond most seasons just by figuring out which comp I like most and forcing it every game. No joke, my actual tft knowledge is shockingly low, still get Diamond most sets. This one is really forcing me to learn to play differently, and to be honest I kind of love it. Thanks for the video, it will help a ton in how I pick headliners throughout the game.
Just play Annie I made an account where I forced only Annie and I hit diamond with 3.40 average, it’s not a winning comp most of the time, but it’s a very free top 4.

its important to remember that getting an early 3 star 1/2 cost can carry you to a top 4 consistantly, so if you have the items for a unit, play it! especially if you like senna, kaisa, bard, annie, jinx, basically any carry actually :)
I agree with you, but i think that it you still need the foundation playing well in general with econ, itemization, and scouting. Doesnt mean you have to be perfect, but it isnt the only thing to carry you to a consistent top 4. I think its pretty black and white in lower ranks, but once you get to mid plat-diamond its more technical. Again, I dont disagree, but its a little more nuanced
@@theryster77 It really isn't. As long as you have a decent understanding of the fundamentals, which anyone above Silver IV has, an early 3-star can save enough HP to easily carry to a top 4. Unless you're playing in GM/Chall where every board is getting capped out and everyone is playing out of their mind every single game, an early 3-star can carry just about anyone, especially with the chosen mechanic
I donno about the Amumu placement. 3 star Amumu headliner gets +50 MR & Armor and damage scaling on both. The last 2-3 times I tried it he'd out DPS the carries for 70-80% of the fight before they'd overtake him. Plus with high Emo he's casting near-constantly. I've seen him stun 3-4 times in a match. He might not be as tough as Neeko or Morde but I've never seen either be anywhere close to the same level of threat as him.
woah im suprise Eve is at S tier. I tried running her offtank Hoj + bt + tank item (dclaw thornmail, and i dont find much success. But later, i tend to sell her at Level 5-6; still maintaining 4 kda trait, pop all those items in akali, and its a banger. find another KDA elsewhere usually from Kai Sa TK arch angel, dclaw, and redemption is unkillable. deserves higher than C i reckon.

Gragas Disco chosen is a crank if you can get him 3 star. I feel Disco really benefits if you have the Augment that doubles the disco ball range and makes it pulse faster. Otherwise just best if you use it as tempo until you can pivot to TF headliner or something else.
