The quality of these uploads is outstanding @DALLAS70. Thank you so much for sharing them and for bringing back these wonderful memories. I had forgotten about the Lisa Alden story line. I always appreciated seeing the writers use the rich history of the Ewing family and the Dallas saga itself to full advantage as in this case. By drawing upon characters from the past, even new characters to the series with ties to former ones - somehow made their appearance that much more authentic. And appreciated.
Yes, blending old and new is the trick to these shows working -- and they rarely get the balance right. Sometimes even DALLAS didn't.... and TNT's nuDALLAS, produced by a completely different team which usually didn't seem interested in the original, certainly didn't get that balance right (except maybe in the second half of the second season right after JR died).
This imo was J.R.'s lowest moment. This time he was not only messing with family, but brother Bobby's family right after losing Pam, but more importantly messing with young Christopher's life. They should've let Bobby drown J.R. in that pool for this!
Warner Bros. recently rescanned and remastered all of the original elements in HD, including redoing all of the intro & outros. That's why all of these later episodes look more filmic like the earlier episodes. The were originally were shot on film, but edited on video from Season 10-14. WB did the extra leg work and redid all of the later seasons, credits & all. And they are BEAUTIFUL. Fingers crossed they'll receive some kind of 4K/Bluray release!
@@DALLAS70 I couldn't remember. I have "Worldvision" copies of Season 14 that were clearly on video. But I also have the SoapNet airings & DVD's which were clearly on film. I didn't know which one was which.
Remember after the accident, & Pam was so hurt. J.R ordered him another car to replace the one that was totaled. Pam was lucky to survive the accident- The hospital wasnt sure if she would make a recovery at all.
If Lisa was trying to take Christopher away from his family me and Bobby, u bet Bobby would take her to court to make sure he stays on the ranch with us
I think people forgot that Bobby literally stole the baby from JR when he thought it was JR son. Bobby is to me, the worst person on the show. That’s the most horrible thing to do. He was divorced at the time it was his duty to tell him. He should have got worse done in my opinion. When he does bad thing he makes excuses for it and when other do things their bad/evil.
If Lisa ever tried to kidnap Christopher away from Bobby and me we would have had her arrested and in jail. That would have been our son my step son if Bobby and I were married in my dream of this episode, especially if I was pregnant with our second child. Bobby would not let her tear up our family Bobby would have been smart to do so gone to court for sure to make sure Christopher had stayed at Southfork with us
I think it's terrible what Lisa is doing to both Bobby and Christopher I mean why is she so down on Bobby, trying to take Christopher away from Bobby and he's been a hell of a damn better father than her damn brother could have ever been in my opinion cause who sells their own just to make some quick and easy cash and she wants to give Bobby trouble and sue him for custody of Christopher and what took her so long to bring trouble down on Bobby her brother's been dead for a long time? Waiting that long she should have stayed away and left them alone, she is just as bad as J.R.
@@fayewitt9881Bobby is a excellent father to Christopher if I was married to Bobby he would be fighting to have him stay at Southfork with him and me Bobby would go to court I would be right by his side testifying saying that Bobby is wonderful father i am Christopher step mother I don’t want him taken away from us I love him as much as my husband does we are a happy family Christopher is going to have a brother or sister in six months.
Thanks for the upload !! This must be Bobby 's "Replacement " car After the unfortunate accident !! 😂😂 UGH 1987-88 My sides !! Amy Stock as Lisa Alden..An interesting choice..I thought Bobby would be smarter and get wise sooner that "Someone" Was helping her !!
@@rolltide9547No, when Christopher’s bio dad “sold” him to Bobby, it was under the assumption that JR was Christopher’s father. Pam had just come off a serious breakdown after bringing John Ross to Sue Ellen and hurting over not being able to have her own baby. What are you supposed to think when your husband comes home with a baby instead of roses and you really want a baby? Bobby decided they would adopt Christopher. Sue Ellen agreed to testify or sign whatever necessary so Pam could be a mom, because she felt she owed her one.

I don't think they had a choice BUT to bring in characters from the past.. After discarding 5 characters the previous season !!

Southfork ranch was so beautiful. Love the outdoor scenes of this show.
0:29 Bobby is giving the car an awkward look probably thinking "What is a cheap Ford Tempo doing here at SouthFork?"
Thanks for uploading these, the quality is stunning, also seeing the Lorimar-Telepictures logo remastered is brilliant.

Agreed
Yeap I've always said it was JRS worst thing he done
Southfork was so much more well kept back then than it is now, I hope the new owners can spruce it up a bit.
@DALLAS70 the quality of your uploads is amazing. Are you in charge of restoring the episodes?
Thank you ❤

I swear I don't how Bobby could talk to or deal with J.R. after this stunt he pulled.
I didn’t remember Bobby driving a Maserati convertible
This was after Pam crashed his own car.
And it was only for Season 11 (1987-88). I think they introduced the Gold Mercedes in Season 12, that he drove for the rest of the CBS series.
Another one of J.R.'s schemes. This one was the lowest of the low. The quality of this video is amazing. How did you do it by upscaling somehow?

Sue Ellen being Christophers Aunt would have an equal claim!!
Yeah and look how well she treated Christopher.
Ie this after jr and Bob fought in pool
Before
They had 2 pool fights
You're gonna have to be more specific with that question 😂 they fought in the pool more times than I can count

This proved that JR was evil with no redeeming qualities
Miss asked and then suggested that same thing to him once about Sue Ellen.
Lisa is just as bad as JR!!! 🤠
Lisa is employed by J.R.

You are correct but in the 1981-1982 season she signed an affidavit giving up her rights to him so Bobby and Pam could adopt him.
