I love hearing Martin as commentator! Yeah he knows the cars and their history and yeah he knows how to commentate like a professional - but he really gets personally involved in the races like any fan would. You can hear his exclamations and inhalations when cars take on some tight, risky maneuvers just like any of us. Needless to say, I'm a big fan.
It was sO annoying to watch. The just kept showing a car with a 2 dollar part failure. Who ever edits these shows is a moron. The drivers are supposed to be man enough to pull out of the race and fix the car and not worry about not finishing the race. I really couldn't care less who wins that old-fashioned race. Invent a quick release door lock mechanism for next week. The car is supposed to teach me something by watching it in working order and in action. I don't want to learn about a door waving to me. I don't want this input into my brain as a memory.
You only showed the Ford GT 40 race. Just video 1 car for a full lap then show the next car for a full lap, etc so we can see all the cars. This isn't a race of any importance. Who wins an obsolescence race means nothing. Your generation's racing days are OVER. Its just a parade of cars WE WANT to see. You only showed us the first 5 cars. We don't learn much from that. These cars were Black & White the last time we saw them. Cause don't forget you're making television product not in person appearance shows. Back in the day, these cars were shown on Black & White TV. Ignore the squabble stuff and show the cars. Squabble and gossip isn't winning you more friends. Demonstrate the cars and what they can do. Gossip is tik tok not 1960's style racing with unknown old men.
I have a soft spot for GT 40`s but if they would focus some time on the slower cars you get to see them handle while the big V8`s blw by.Shows the speed difference.
Kind of absurd - Ford V8 can be modified in nearly unlimited amount to make more power than original and cheaply at no risk to value, a kind of internecine incestuous racing. Not much fun to watch.
I don't really get what you're trying to say?? The GT40s and Cobras are by far the fastest cars in this race. It has nothing to do with 'modifications' as all cars run to a period spec.

Beautiful English styling and design + Shelby chassis beef up and Ford power=Winning combo.

On certain tacks. On most tracks they were back markers. Their bright light didn't last long.
