    TOEFL Listening - How to Take Notes for Conversations
    If you want a high score in TOEFL Listening, you must take good notes. When you listen to conversations, this can be quite difficult because there are two speakers and there is a lot of information. Therefore, you need a strategy that helps you take useful notes quickly. I show you how you should take notes for conversations and what you need to write down. If you take notes like this, it will be a lot easier for you to get a high score in TOEFL Listening.

      I think you should make a video on situation when TOEFL scores are put under Administrative review after test. I was really tensed when it happened and I believe most people will be in the same situation. So I think a video which explains about the situation and what to do next will really help people and maybe they'll have your video and guidance and not totally freak out about it.

    I scored 96.
    R 29
    L 20
    S 21
    W 26
    Main problem is my internet got disconnected while taking listening section, but anyhow later got connected but that(tension) impact the listening section for me alot. So the question is all about the listening score? Is that score is ok for universities because I heard some of them are more particular about section scores(for instance having more than 23 and above)

    • @juva
      @juva  3 года назад

      Congratulations Reshma! Your scores are amazing, you can be so proud of yourself! It's a pity that this happened during TOEFL Listening, that must have been very frustrating. I'd recommend checking out the requirements of the universities you want to apply to, they may differ in their approach regarding the listening section.

      I think, obviously depend on university to university.. But fortunately there many universities who accept 20 above as well. So, I don't think , there might be trouble... Unless you want to pursue your ms or phd on top universities...

    Hi Juva. I like your all Toefl videos. I start prepare for Toefl again. On my first attempt, I got 48. It's pretty lower score. That's why, I want to take the test again. I hope I will get at least 100 score on my second attempt with your advises and techniques. Thanks a lot. Good luck in your works.

    How can we improve our general speaking before the test

    • @juva
      @juva  4 месяца назад

      A great way to practice is to speak to your wall using a timer. This way you will get used to the time limit and the questions.

  • @mohammadghoroobi3878
    @mohammadghoroobi3878 Год назад +1

    It is great and I've enjoyed it. I think you can make it more practical by working on real example on TOEFL converstation test to show each related part to your course and the first part (note taking on table) really needs example. For instance you shouldn't fill the table line by line when the speaker changes if you want to follow the sequnce, it's better to fill the table in diagonal way when the speaker changes.

      Hi Mina, don't worry, you can do this! I'd recommend this: figure out where your strengths and weaknesses are, then tackle the weaknesses step by step. Have a look at my playlists and pick the videos you need, in particular, check out the one where I talk about how to study for the TOEFL in one week. Practice a bit every day so that it becomes a habit. You will become better eventually and this will motivate you to keep studying. Hope this helps :).
