Great game so far. Beautiful scenery and the controls feel good. The melee combat is a lot of fun too. I got excited when i found out i could pick up a guitar and smash it on someones face lol
I really want to love this game but there are a lot of issues with it. I grew up with tomb raider and fell in love with uncharted - both which are arguably inspired by indiana jones. The game does look beautiful - i've only just started egypt...there's plenty to explore and it's very detailed but theres a lot of compromise. The NPCs are what ruin the game - they feel like souless robots set on a loop. With advancements in gaming we should be able to interact, such as bumping into them, squeezing through a crowd, etc - they should also be able to react to whats happening around them... at best this game as select dialogue (often just a greeting) as you get close to someone. You can have a bunch of soldiers after you and the locals just don't notice. You can also have soldiers on high alert and all you have to do is go through a doorway and be fine. In the vatican city on the stair cases to the library there are two priests which spend hours upon hours adjusting a painting and also two nuns having the same conversation over and over again. When in the college i had the other professor following me, but i'd go through one door way and he enter on the opposite side even though he was literally just behind me. I've had NPCs walk into a room, pause and vanish...even had them walk through a solid door. What is extremely laughable is you can have a hammer, you literally smash it against the soldiers head and somehow he's still standing and ready to fight. Sadly it doesn't feel finished (like many games nowadays they release them and then gradually patch it up over time). Personally I don't like the first person style. I know they want us to feel like we are indy but this immersion is constantly broken when you need to swing or climb etc so whats the point. One on one swinging punches is fine but have more soldiers join the fight and it becomes a hot mess. The first person mode can make it difficult to view the map...and the crawling in stelth mode is laughable with the limp hands - kinda makes me think indy with doing an impression of T-rex. It is a decent game. I just wish they'd have given us the option of 1st or 3rd person. I also wish there was more treasure to be found laying around the place. At the moment I am finding eygpt a bit repetative... it just feels like i'm doing what i did in the vatican city but now in a new location - it's not really advancing forward - you have similar side quests (you even have another secret boxing club)... each level should be something new that advances the story (up until egypt this is how the game is... the opening, the college, the vatican - all different and progressing the story... but egypt just feels like a clone of the vatican) I know theres more location so i will contue and just hope the game picks up its pace

The attention to environment and object detail is astounding and this game is far more immersive than I was expecting. Hundreds and hundreds of hours of adventuring await for all the true completionists of the world. Game is great… while it functions. My game has come to an end due to clerical key not working anymore - game stopper/breaker. 22 hours wasted… I looked online to find potential help and found MANY, MANY people with game stopping glitches. Not worth the time invested when suddenly game becomes unable to progress. Another Bethesda disaster, looks great and shiny until it’s not… I even paid money for the upgrade to this free game on Xbox, only to find out the free version isn’t even a good deal. Just a waste of my time. Suggest looking at all the glitch problems being reported online before buying… I’ll stick to Larian games for quality.
Been playing for 4 hours today. Very boring game. The puzzles and tomb like ruins showed puzzles i thought i could do and then had no clues or way to solve them and then the place was done and avoided the puzzles. It's been really underwhelming. Troy Baker is carrying this game 1000% with his great imitation of Prime Indy. I want to see more of the game. I just wish keep waiting for the gane to be fun exciting or have puzzles that it will allow me to solve. The reloading animation is infinite and the game has just 6 bullets in it. The stamina bar allows you to punch 4 times and then become unable to defend yourself for what feel like an eternity. Frustrating and cranky gameplay with a mind boggling first person view that feel like it just doesn't belong. Enemies cant ever see you and when they miraculously do they lose you outnof nowhere. 5 out of 10 so far.
You just started and already complaining. Most games are challenging in the beginning as you’re getting acquainted with. You sucking at puzzles all of us can solve is a you problem, not the game. The revolver having 6 rounds and slow reload are both accurate of their time. So realism and immersion to the time period. And being out of boxing shape will wind folks fast. Keep playing game, it gets better. Stop playing if you’re just going to complain on RUclips. Everything you’ve complained about are you problems. If you can’t figure out the puzzles, there are plenty of RUclips tutorials.
@@JBrotsis1 i wish it let me figure out puzzle but there wasnt any so far, it showed things that could be puzzles but then didnt let me solve them. having 6 bullets the entire game and reloading infinetly isnt good gameplay though. instead of playing an indiana jones im playing a stealth melee game. its odd and out of place. im not complaining on youtube im correcting the people that say its so good. its not. its boring.
@@ACTIONSALAD you get more bullets when you find ammunition in the world. It’s out there, you just have to explore the map. Idk what you mean by reload indefinitely. Reloading isn’t fast; it’s slow but it’s not an indefinite animation. Indy in the movies was stealthy. As stealthy as he could be. When he got caught then he fought back. Seems like your expectations of the game were misplaced as the game is pretty faithful to the movies. Not all games are fast paced action shooters. Again, we come full circle, the game is really good. You’re just not good at it so you’re calling it a bad boring game.
"open world" maybe for console players who are use to boxed levels, but for PC games, Indy Great Circle is a boxed-in world with different levels you get to move to. There's not even any choice in this world, it's completely linear. And running around collecting useless junk is not content, it's just for console gamers who think collecting every useless item and checking the boxes somehow equals "fun".
So Bethesda can make good games still they just choose not to I guess? It must piss them off that their "best" game New Vegas wasn't even them that made it.

Oh and, it's great to see and to finally watch someone mention about those small lock boxes being able to be opened and looted. 👍So many people love making walthroughs and playtrhoughs, yet are totally oblivious of all the game mechanics, side quests, side activities, loot locations and rules of the game in general. I just shake my head and say to myself,... "How not to play the game". 🤣
I'm about 3 hours in and it's not a bad game but I just started playing far cry 6 4 days ago and Its just a lot more fun than this game so I can't see me playing much more of this till I've completed far cry
Far cry 6 sucks. If you haven’t played 3-5, go play those first.
Game is great… while it functions. My game has come to an end due to clerical key not working anymore - game stopper/breaker. 22 hours wasted…
I looked online to find potential help and found MANY, MANY people with game stopping glitches.
The AI is so stupid
A big plus for beating the enemies is you can punch fascists in the face
Can we not say nazis anymore? Real question. I don't understand..
Played it finished it and won’t play it again it’s not bad at all but playability matters and it’s just not got it at all
DROP THE REVIEW SCORE
It's dropped!
Why?
@@mark_medina_ign4725 Thnx great review, I enjoyed watching Luke Riley’s enthusiasm
@@satireguy8595 Not dropped as in lower, dropped as in -- it's out. It's a 9!
"punching fascists in the face" 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
You sound like a 🚬
@@The723343 to be fair, that is one of the things Indiana jones is known for
How is this cringe? It’s literally accurate
@Mr.LegoGrievous yeah that's actually what they're called in the game lol
@@Mr.LegoGrievousNazis hate being called Nazis it seems.
So Bethesda can make good games still they just choose not to I guess? It must piss them off that their "best" game New Vegas wasn't even them that made it.
@@QuantumAssassin Bethesda didn’t make this game. Machine Games did. Bethesda is the publisher.
A circle starts and ends at the same point nowhere is this game a circle does not follow from the movie series it is a try-hard Indiana Jones game
Very boring game
Don't forget it is made for "modern audiences"
No, it isn’t. If it were, they probably wouldn’t have swastikas on full display. Where did you get this information?
It's great
Yes, made for gamers that are born in recent times, the last 20 years.
Well, Indi does state that he hates fascists. This game just may not be for you.
I thought modern audiences don’t really care for stealth gameplay?
Play elder scrolls = same gameplay
Completing the story is awesome fun.
Completing to 100% is painful, tedious, extremely difficult and extremely time consuming.
You’ve been warned
So you got only one position option for saving and that is only a few minutes before . 🤮🤮👎👎👎👎
