Thank you again for your support, you have no idea how much it means to me. I don’t make anything off this channel so comments like yours are the only thing that makes me want to keep going brother.
My wife bought me one of the cheaper ones off of Wish as a suprise. Was just over $40 with the various coupons. Completely solid knife. Like the one you have basically no blade play fire's reliably and hard. Steel isn't anything to write home about but not bad. Well worth the money Have thought about the Vespa version just not sure is would be worth the extra cost. Thanks as always for your reviews. Missed a few will have to go back and catch up.
BellaBear, the measurements on the $50 clone are 19.46mm (0.766”) at its widest part near the “USA” stamp on the blade. The Vespa is 19.92mm (0.784”) at its widest point near the base of the blade. At its base, the $50 clone is 19.17mm (0.755”) but gets wider towards the center of the blade. And that’s great you’re enjoying your clone! It’s such a simple mechanism, I have no idea how Microtech justified the $700 price tag when they made them. The Vespa certainly is a step up in quality. I’d say the 154CM model offers the better value when compared to the $300 M390 version. I also think the $50 clone is more reliable than the Vespa. You really have to mash the button down to ensure a good lock up but you get the hang of it. Thanks for commenting and take care!
@GigiEDC hey appreciate it. Yeah the $700 price is wild. Especially after having one and realizing how simple the mechanism is compared to a double action. That said the single action...can be a special kind of hell if you have to disassemble it. Watch a video first lol. Probably going to get the big dragon from chinahighend then give some thought to one of these. Thanks again
I hear you! I avoid Temu and Wish but AliExpress is quite good imo. DHgate is good too. I’ve never had any issues getting a refund. Thanks for your comment!
Hey was the vespa seller the: 2712008 Store? I bought over 20 different OTF's in the $50 range and I can tell you that I've never had an issue disassembling and sharpening them all. The $50 Halo 6's are legit and that includes the clear plastic ones (which I don't really like personally).
Yes! Of course, sorry for the late reply. Been a busy week :) the seller is China High-End EDC on AliExpress but there are other sellers. CHEEDC is sold out but here’s another seller! Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! $150.00 | VESPA Version Knife Blade:154CM Handle:Aluminum, survival outdoor knife a.aliexpress.com/_msl0oiu

@@GigiEDC The only other thing I could use is a Mario's Italian Ice. However today is the last day for the year that they are open and I am to lazy to drive 140 miles round trip to get ice. In the mean time "tanks" (Chicago way of saying thank you) for the heads up and have a most awesome afternoon!
Wait, I thought vespa didn't do logos? I've been wanting them to offers higher quality clones this whole time I've been buying them. I just messaged a DH vespa Dealer and they told me there's no logo
It depends on when they’re made. In the past they didn’t have logos but now they do, unfortunately. I loved when they didn’t. The guy you spoke to may have been honest but it’s been quite a few years since I’ve seen any without the logo!
@@GigiEDC man I got so excited for a moment. But I noticed that the logo is grooved in without any paint. And so far as I can tell, Microtech never grooved their logo, microtech only laser etches their logos. What I want is a super clone with damn near perfect 1:1 copy. And I promote clones bc Microtech does a horrible job making enough Halo 6s for collectors...(hope you hear this Microtech, you're making China rich and giving people reasons not to buy from you). Kinda of a bummer for me bc I thought it was going to be a high end super clone, and for me the weird logo ruined it (even though it looks cool a $hit). Thx for the vid! Very informative! Also I may end up just buying one bc I like 154 steel and the knife is an obvious improvement over the $50 clones (which are worth every penny IMO)
This guy is simple the GOAT

Quick question if fo not mind and get a chance. How wide is the blade of the Vespa? Listing says 22mm. The cheap one I have is right at 20mm. Thanks
Absolutely! When I get home later I’ll be happy to measure it for you.
Reddit man does it again. I love the vids
