I applied for bs in cs at TAMU but i got in bac degree-in general engineering.. is it good or what should i do for change.. bacause bachelor in arts of computing hasn’t EATM option
I am applying to cs but they put us in "general engineering". From what I got told, they put us in GE so we would get a taste of every other class in case we change minds,, but if not we just take cs science courses to go into the cs bachelors program (if that makes sense??)
all engineers (including cs) go through Entry to a Major (ETAM) first year, then once u fulfill all classes and credits, you can apply to the major you want. keep in mind applying for a major u want does not guarantee you'll get that major. for competitive majors such as CS, you should maintain a high GPA (3.75+) to guarantee ur major, any lower is a crapshoot tbh
@@yaesku2065 even if you accept calculus 1/2 credit you will still have to take 2 math courses for ETAM, such as calculus 3 or linear algebra. as far as testing goes, you will have to take the Math Placement Exam which determines what math course you will be placed in
@ primax.. still i have question that in my admission offer letter .. they mention degree BAC… in general engineering .. and BAC degree hasn’t option of EATM.. in first year .is there any problem coming my way to accept offer .. as i m a cs degree seeker.. pls clear my doubt

@@striker4312 if I earned college credit all the way to calculus 2, will I have to take additional test or other requirements or how does that work..?
