Can you tack up wind in a Holopuni?

Absolutely! The key: a daggerboard but also having paddlers helps hold a higher line and tack quickly.

@@HolopuniVaa Thanks! Awesome! I bet the Holopuni would be a blast to sail/paddle at the Columbia Gorge on a strong wind day. Blast up stream with the wind then tack back and forth against the wind going back down stream. I'd like to take my Hobie Cat 16 to the Gorge but I worry that if the wind dies down then I'd be at the mercy of the river current. Can't really paddle a Hobie 16.
