Your channel is responsible for my temporary poverty (in a good way, but not if you ask my wife). I got the Neo fly more, then the Neo Motion kit (addicted to this little drone) and now you have convinced me I need an Avata and most of the little FPV cine drones.........(puts on lottery and crosses fingers)
10:55 quick tip, you can actually make the drone look side to side with the motion controller by pressing lightly on the throttle, just enough that the circle shows up on the goggle. There is actually two steps when pressing down on the throttle, 1st is to let the pilot view 360 degrees, and the 2nd one when you actually press the throttle down to the max then the drone will fly to the indicated direction. I'm glad i found your video, I just bought my avata 2 a week ago... still learning 😊
I'll have mine, the full 3-battery kit, in a week or two. Can't wait! You probably could have mentioned DJI's "Care Express" insurance options, I always get the 2-year, 4-replacement coverage (my Avata 1 has that still). This particular product, like its predecessor, is among the LEAST expensive DJI drones to replace if you happen to damage it, or camera system, or battery (compared to the Air series ... very inexpensive!) ... anyhow, thank you for your insightful Avata 2 features presentation here Steve.... happy flying!
One of the best videos for beginners i have seen of all of them , explained very very well... I'm just about to purchase one of these and I'm so pleased I watched yours , I have sent you a separate question.. thank you so much ... 👍👍👍❤
Another great video Steve! I'm enjoying the Avata 2! It definitely has capabilities that regular FPV drones can't do. Ok , not impossible but very difficult to do. A simple example is if you need it to hover and video something. Kinda like your mini 4 pro was orbiting you during your video. That is another great drone! DJI is really pushing out great products! Thanks Steve ! Looking forward to your next videos on the Avata 2!

Hey there captain drone. You are my favourite UAV RUclipsr. And not because you are a Canuck. Yes I love that you are a fellow Commonwealth Brother and use the correct form of unit measurement like we do in Australia and the rest of the Commonwealth.... metric! Lol, it's funny and unfortunate you have to convert metres to feet for the imperial Yanks viewing. And just to let you Americans know, "Yank" is a general term for Americans used by Brits from the motherland/ Australians/ New Zealanders and I believe Canucks (Canadians) use the term as well. Ha ha, yup sometimes I do receive comments from a few people asking me why in the world would I list distance and speed in METRIC and not IMPERIAL. You can guess which citizens send such comments. In Canada we call our neighbours to the south of us “Americans” (we’ve never used the term “Yanks”, also a term popularized in many war movies). Since I’m an old guy, when I was a kid, the IMPERIAL system was our unit of measurement. Then, still as a kid, it changed to METRIC, but many of the older generation at that time didn’t wish to change. So many people my age grew up with both IMPERIAL and METRIC. My children are all 100% METRIC and get confused if I speak in IMPERIAL… unless it comes to cooking ingredients (strangely still often IMPERIAL).
@CAPTAINDRONE798 haha okay then. Well it's like Canuck, it's a term of fellow comradeship and endearment to call Canadians from our view. Yanks is just a general term we use here in Australia mainly because the motherland also does. Wow, well Australia changed from Imperial to metric in the late 60's. That's why the road speel.limit signs here are a red circle black number on a.rectangulad white background. As the workers could than simply post the new Kilometre limit over the old Mph limit and looks the same. Well in Australia is was the same thing. Our ties to the motherland being the main issue. So I absolutely love the metric system. The fact it's simplified like 9mm and not imperial 3/16th etc is the best. It's so funny watching Americans listening to Commonwealth people and our use of metric. When they can't compute the equal measurement in imperial. I mean how can you not love the fact that 1 tonne is 1000 kilograms and you just carry the zeros to keep going up or down. Funnily enough I've noticed more and more yanks (Americans) using metric. But they spell one unit of measurement incorrectly. They write METERS but in fact here in Australia we use British English and it's spelt METRES. 😆 I think most military personnel from the US can easily use metric. As NATO is literally all metric apart from some aspects of like in the motherland 🇬🇧. Where in sure in the near future, they will also adopt the metric measurement system for their roads. Going from MPH to KMPH. One aspect that a lot of people pushed back against here in the early seventies was making the Australian currency decimal. Going from Australian Pounds to Australian Dollars. The only aspect of imperial measurement that I like. That's interesting that in Canada, that the Imperial measurement metod for cooking/ food etc is not yet metric. Here its completely metric. Except for the baby boomers who still say Feet and Quid (Pounds) instead of metres and dollars. Maybe a lot of the ingredients you are cooking with are imported from the US, or they are exported and have to be in imperial for the US? Funny how Americans don't even realise they are using metric. With the 9mm pistol cartridges and other things like Grams etc. Are you a Quebecois? Noticed you visiting your beautiful father and family there. Unless you are Anglo and just always lived in Quebec? I love making Canadian Cesar drinks. Andi get the original clamato to make them 😊 Another thing we love about our fellow Canadian Commonwealth brothers is your contribution to society with the epic and underrated show that is LETTERKENNY. It's played free-to-air here. Oh and I have relatives that live on Vancouver island. I absolutely love Vancouver and Seattle. The pacific northwest is so underrated. Especially the greater BC area. I can assume by your Ontario LIcence plates that you live in Greater TORONTO? just an educated guess lol. Or maybe you live in London Ontario. Lol.
Thanks so much for this useful information. A question about flying indoors. Did you have any issues with GPS trying to connect or was it connected and did not interfere with movement of the drone? Also, thanks for the settings suggestion for indoor flying!
There is no such thing as GPS indoors. Stats are in space floating around the earth and their signal does not pass through humans, trees, roofs of houses, etc.
Steve, great and informative info especially for beginners .. However, you did emphasize the ease for beginners and how quickly they could be doing real estate ... You probably know what i am going to say.. They can not do real estate until they are FAA 107 certified.. I hope you point this out in a future video... Otherwise a lot of people might think they can start a side business and they cannot... I am not a negative person but you did repeat the real estate angle many times and for the safety of those involved I wanted to drop you a note.. If I could have done so in private, i would have... Keep up the good work... Joe
I went from the Cetus pro to the Avata 2. Wow! what a difference in picture quality. Already have the Controller 3 and even had prescription lenses made for the Goggles 3. It was great learning a few new things in your video. Thank you for the information!
is the aiming circle disabled when head tracking is on or did you turn it off? I'd like to have both so I know where the drone is pointing. Can you also fly LOS with no goggles at all or does it at least have to be turned on? Thanks for the info, very helpful.
Since it is designed for beginner pilots, it requires that the goggles always be on for flight. Yes, with head tracking turned on, the circle is still visible to fly.
Awesome tutorial.. Steve!! Hopefully DJI will include Head Tracking with the remote 3.. that would be an Awesome way to do indoor real estate touring.. 👍
If doing a real estate video, also make sure no light objects or papers etc on tables, also do a nice clean/tidy up first as dust/fur will fly everywhere, so maybe do a few test runs before the real deal!
Yo Captain Drone! You can use the dot with the motion controller to access and manipulate menu controls. That little bit of play in the trigger before you feel tension is how you select. Then just aim the dot off the menu and select again and the menu disappears… so like when you were selecting head tracking, you do it with the motion controller so you don’t have the aircraft spinning around
Great video, very informative. I just got the fly more combo and just ordered the controller 3. I'm use to shooting tight gaps with my Meteor75 so flying this will be interesting
I can't wait to get this drone. I've been practicing hard on my Analog Tinyhawk freestyle. Around 6-12 packs a day. Unless I'm trying something crazy, I usually don't crash anymore. If I'm gonna burn one of my DJI care refreshes, I want it to be for something good 😂
Nice video. I bought an Air 3 and it also does not come with a charger. And I also discovered it slowly charges when using inexpensive chargers. It took over 12 hours to charge three batteries. It was something that other demo channels did not point out. Overall, it is not big deal, mostly annoying to find out after the fact.
CAPTAIN DRONE, i beg you review the budget rc airplane Wltoys f949! My son's birthday is in 2 months, and i'm interested in buying this. Lots of respect for your videos!😁
Cleaning the lens.... How delicate/tough is the camera structure? Like what kind of pressure/movement would break it? Like can I pinch it strongly with left fingers and wipe it with right hand? Heard stories of how people broke it doing such? Appreciate any advice!
Thanks Steve. I feel its an upgrade from the A1. Hopefully, they make backwards compatibility with the Integra and the other FPV remote. If not I will most likely sell the Avata and get it anyway.
I just got mine a few days ago. I'm curious about the "beginner mode" rates compared to the rates you set in the video for flying indoors. There does not seem to be a way to check them without taking it out of beginner mode, which I'm not ready to do. But whatever they are, it is very easy to fly around my very small home-office without getting into trouble. I've been flying a Cetus Pro (only in Normal mode) for about six weeks so maybe that helped, otherwise I'm very much a beginner. great video btw.
Wow! What a great full coverage video! Qn: if I have everything powered on and I want to switch to RC3, can I just turn off motion, then power up RC3? Or do I need to power cycle everything?
Captain, what diopter is your glasses prescription? I see you are using the goggles without your glasses. Is there enough adjustment on the goggles for your prescription? My diopter is +2.5 and according to DJI the goggles are only good up to +2. What’s your experience?
Hi Cap, I just bought the Avata 2 and I am a totally Newbie at the Drone Flying topic. So your Vids are very welcome. Thanks a lot for those. I just insert a SD Card into the drone slot and by now I am confused. I also owned the Googles 3. Is there a difference what kind of data is stored on the SD cards ?
SD card on the AVATA 2 is where the VIDEOS in high resolution are recorded. You pull it out and stick it in your computer and pull the video files off. SD Card in the FPV Goggles is where the LOW Resolution video that you see with your eyeballs is recorded.
Wonderful gizmo. I wish I had a spare $2k laying around. Thanks for another interesting, informative, and entertaining video Steve. Happy flying amigo 🫡 🍻.
Fun fact the outro song is made by a friend of mine from school, I have just reached out to him again after loosing touch for a few years thanks to this
merry Christmas from Australia, thanks for this great intro tutorial video, today i finally bought the Avata 2 fly more after watching your videos about it and more, my first question is will a 45w Samsung fast charger be suitable for charging the 3 batteries temporarily in their bank assuming slow charge times, would it be a missive difference be in time going to a 65w or 100w+ charger. secondly I'm looking at taking it out tomorrow for the first time winds in the 20 -25km/h range are expected for this drone would it be suitable for a first flight I'm not to sure as some say in slight wind it tilts quite abit.
The winds won’t be a major issue. 65 watts is better than 45 watts. If the charger can take more watts, it will request it. Try it with 45 watts and if you find charging is much to slow, then jump up to something with more output.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks I ended up with a 65w charger seems to work quite well now much faster then before next issue I have is the drone saying "connect to dji fly outdoors" is their an easy fix to solve this issue.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 yeah i logged into my dji account and bound it and also brought dji care refresh so its on my dji account that i use my air 2s with aswell very odd.
Hi I have been following you since the dj Spark days. I really enjoy your content. I actually have a spark and and a dji mini 3. I also have my basic licence. i notice you fly in the Ottawa area ( millenial park). Can you recommend other places to fly with a basic licence in the Ottawa area? Thanks
You can fly any under 250 gram where you wish as long as you don’t annoy people, planes and moving cars. You’ll notice that if I fly a drone, there are rarely people around unless they are people I know.
Great video presentation Steve. Many thanks for all your hard work on each episode. Q: i have the mini 3 combo fly more with motion & goggles. Is there any advantage of purchasing this? It does sound noisier than the Mini 3 🇦🇺🦘🪃
DJI is just giving more options for more pep to come get there stuff. If they can get everyone to try it the more sells they make. When I go to flying events it's the motion controller I teach to non drone flyers. They all love it. I teach the reg controller to anyone looking harder. I've only taught my Grand daughter the reg controller.
@CAPTAINDRONE798 I feel like dji is trying push their motion remote. You now don't get a choice. Your dji will come with the motion remote and if you want a "normal" remote you are stuck paying extra for one. Thanks for all your reviews as always!
hi, i see you wear glasses, i have quite a high prescription so i probably would have to wear my glasses throughout flight, what are the goggles like whilst wearing glasses, thanks for a really informative video
Is there no crash / obstacle avoidance on the Avata 2 at all? I am looking at this for a 1st drone bc it looks simple but assume without obstacle avoidance I'd crash and render it useless in no time as a newbie. How durable is this thing to handle crashes without repair?
It is an FPV drone designed for beginners. All DJI drones are designed for beginners but their FPV class of beginner drones are built to handle newbies crashing them into the ground at all speeds, so you’ll be fine.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks for the info. I am sure the old DJI spark did, saying that it might have been my first drone the husban . Thanks for you videos love them.
Love your work. Thinking about this. FLYDrone Drone Airdrop System for DJI Avata 2, Drop Release for DJI Avata 2, Transport Release Accessories, Do you have any comments. TIA
if it's upside down try turtle mode in the menu. If it's sitting up try restart on the motors. If none of that works then you have to do what is known as "The walk of shame!" and go get it. lol
Lol... My question was going to be "Do you have any videos showing the stick moves for the flips and drifts?" BUT I guess that's coming! Cool! I have the Avata 2 and tried it out the Remote 3 today, I need to find an open and empty space to get use to the Motion Controller though.
Will it go into auto RTH when whipping around in manual, I tend to lose track of time and forget to monitor the battery at times, mostly I only got 5 to 6 min max on their FPV model and was lucky once when it came back overland as opposed the water when it suddenly did a forced landing on me, so just wondering if this one calculates it a bit better for auto RTH from manual to actually complete the RTH when your battery gets low. Anyway this bundle seemed good to me for the price especially as goggles are much smaller, not tried it yet but your video was a lot of help at least I found out how to start it if I use that motion stick thing , before I thought twisting it was for pan/rudder maybe and tilting it would be like ailerons and to do spins, although I think I will use the regular stick remote when it comes never used that motion stick thing even on their first FPV.
Yes, RTH still works in MANUAL MODE because DJI designed this drone for beginners and will not allow you to turn off the GPS. So this is a good thing if you stop paying attention to the remaining battery voltage.
Hi there new drone guy here, I recently bought both a Cletus X and avata 2, I thought that I would learn proper fpv and also have the avata so I enjoy flying while I learn proper fpv. Wonder if you suggest me to learn fpv on the Cletus or should I try sticking with the avata and return the Cletus? I want to get the physical reflexes and not sure if the avata is going to spoil me, WDYT?
The Avata 2 has both NORMAL and SPORT Modes which are BEGINNER Flight modes. Those modes do not exist in the real FPV hobby. Nor does that silly motion controller. Depending on which CETUS you purchased, you may be stuck with BEGINNER Flight modes as well.
Just got the Remote Controller 3, haven’t tried it yet, not in a rush cuz having plenty of fun with motion controller for now. Great tips though! Wow! Still would like to screen capture like I can on the Mini 4 Pro. Any ideas? Post?
The AVATA2 comes with the MOTION3 so that is what beginners will use. If a person was previously flying a DJI MINI or DJI MAVIC then they would prefer the REMOTE 3.
Hey, I really want the DJI Avata 2 but the only problem is that I don’t have the budget to buy the combo with 3 batteries and the controller 3. Do you think that it’s a good idea to buy the combo with 1 battery and slowly buying batteries and the DJI controller 3 ? Thank you for your reviews ❤
Hey love the vid, i wanna get a fpv drone but im tied between the avata 2 and the dji fpv. I really like all the freestyle i see with 5 inch quads but thats too much work for me currently id rather have a dji because of all the features and like safetys and stuff. I wanna be able to do acro like the true fpv drones which do you think is better for like just stuaghr acro ajd freestyle and flips iver stuff and things like that
you mentioned you have to activate it with the USB to USB cable and mobile , but my iphone is Lightning cable . does it come with a USB to lightning ??? or can I activate it through Wi-Fi . thanks 🙏
Lots of people are in your situation and they all figured it out. Use your own cable. You will figure it out quickly. DJI does not include the lighting cable.
Hey, great video thank you one question I had because I did speak to DJI about this as well in the new goggles. Are you also seeing it as a rectangular square? I’m guessing there is no way to put this in fullscreen or at least get to edge. I thought this was gonna be more immersive, but all I’m seeing in the goggles is a small rectangular image I guess, probably to avoid lag issues. I did set the field to 100% just wondering if there is any option for more of a full screen
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I actually mean the feed from the drone inside the goggles I was expecting at least something close to full screen, but I’m getting about 80% of my fov. It’s still good, but it would be great to have a larger fov but I’m pretty sure they kept it like this just to reduce any lag
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 so what do you see in the goggles? Do you see a rectangular image of the view? Do you see black on top and bottom left and right? I did send it to 16 x 9 but I still see that. It’s a rectangular square surrounded by black.
@@GEOFFYCOLLECTIONMy entire rectangular image fills the screen. It sounds like you have just adjusted your viewing settings all wrong. Or… did you mistakenly put the prescription minus lenses on?
I’ve watched like 100 Avata 2 videos on RUclips. Yours is the most informative and detailed I’ve seen. Thanks

I think most military personnel from the US can easily use metric.

I can assume by your Ontario LIcence plates that you live in Greater TORONTO?
just an educated guess lol. Or maybe you live in London Ontario. Lol.

Thanks Captain Drone!
you are the king reviewer. i love all your reviews Steve.
I appreciate that!
Joe
Hello Steve-Thanks for the nice long video-I will start saving to buy this one-best regards -Mike in Australia.
Thank Mike!
I went from the Cetus pro to the Avata 2. Wow! what a difference in picture quality. Already have the Controller 3 and even had prescription lenses made for the Goggles 3. It was great learning a few new things in your video. Thank you for the information!
Enjoy the Avata 2!
is the aiming circle disabled when head tracking is on or did you turn it off?
Very good, Captain ...
Great video, for me doing indoor flights you can just switch to beginner mode
Yo Captain Drone! You can use the dot with the motion controller to access and manipulate menu controls. That little bit of play in the trigger before you feel tension is how you select. Then just aim the dot off the menu and select again and the menu disappears… so like when you were selecting head tracking, you do it with the motion controller so you don’t have the aircraft spinning around
Very good tutorial. I fly AIR3, time to get new skills so I bought Avatar 2. Regards
Amazing tutorial for beginner 🙂 Thanks again!
Great video! Where is the best place to buy the avata 2 fly more combo?
AMAZON is the best place or your local Electronics Store.
If I'm gonna burn one of my DJI care refreshes, I want it to be for something good 😂
If you can fly the Tinyhawk then this drone is even easier to fly.
Hi Cap. just saying thx to you and Nikki for the stickers I just received them today thx again I LOVE them
Wow! You just received the stickers we sent out last December? What country do you live in?
It is very durable
Thanks Steve. I feel its an upgrade from the A1. Hopefully, they make backwards compatibility with the Integra and the other FPV remote. If not I will most likely sell the Avata and get it anyway.
DJI always adds backwards compatibility after they have sold enough of the new product.
Good solid guide! Thank you
Glad you found it helpful!
Wow! What a great full coverage video! Qn: if I have everything powered on and I want to switch to RC3, can I just turn off motion, then power up RC3? Or do I need to power cycle everything?
Yes, it should work with items powered on
Captain, what diopter is your glasses prescription? I see you are using the goggles without your glasses. Is there enough adjustment on the goggles for your prescription? My diopter is +2.5 and according to DJI the goggles are only good up to +2. What’s your experience?
Yes, no need for anything else. 2.5 is fine. For me I also have a stigmatism in one eye, so I have a correction lens for that.
Nice explanation with a focus on some of the pitfalls to avoid.
Hi Cap,
I just bought the Avata 2 and I am a totally Newbie at the Drone Flying topic.
$2k wow! my local Best Buy was liquidating I guess when I snagged a bird for $800
theyre 500...
Good deal. I still wish I had $2K laying around 😂.
Avata 2, 3 batteries, charger, Goggles 3, Controller 3 > $1500 USD. And I still wish I had $2K laying around 😂.
Fun fact the outro song is made by a friend of mine from school, I have just reached out to him again after loosing touch for a few years thanks to this
Very cool! He certainly did a great job!
So tempted in buying, thanks for this fab video Steve
Thanks for checking it out. The AVATA 2 is certainly a type of drone that gets people into FPV.
Thanks for the newbie video.
You’re welcome! Enjoy your new drone!
How do you adjust the gimbal angle with the Motion 3 so there more gorund in the view and less sky? Thanks for the vids.
The dial on the motion controller adjusts the gimbal
Great video! Full of good information. Thanks 👍👍😀
Great tutorial! Thank you!!
merry Christmas from Australia, thanks for this great intro tutorial video, today i finally bought the Avata 2 fly more after watching your videos about it and more, my first question is will a 45w Samsung fast charger be suitable for charging the 3 batteries temporarily in their bank assuming slow charge times, would it be a missive difference be in time going to a 65w or 100w+ charger. secondly I'm looking at taking it out tomorrow for the first time winds in the 20 -25km/h range are expected for this drone would it be suitable for a first flight I'm not to sure as some say in slight wind it tilts quite abit.
@@benwhite5848 Have you activated the drone with your DJI Account? Maybe that is what it is asking.
It does sound noisier than the Mini 3
🇦🇺🦘🪃
Apples and oranges. The AVATA is not a camera drone, it is an FPV Drone.
Great video as always. Not a fan of the motion controller. Why are we trying to pull away from a normal transmitter??
Please explain your question as I do not understand what you are asking.
I remove my glasses to wear the goggles
Is there no crash / obstacle avoidance on the Avata 2 at all?
I am looking at this for a 1st drone bc it looks simple but assume without obstacle avoidance I'd crash and render it useless in no time as a newbie. How durable is this thing to handle crashes without repair?
It is an FPV drone designed for beginners. All DJI drones are designed for beginners but their FPV class of beginner drones are built to handle newbies crashing them into the ground at all speeds, so you’ll be fine.
@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks!
Thanks for yet another great video.
Quick question does the controller record sound or is it the drone. Personally prefer when the drone does?
Drones don't record sound because guess what you would hear.... BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. The controller does not record sound either.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks for the info. I am sure the old DJI spark did, saying that it might have been my first drone the husban . Thanks for you videos love them.
Best tutorial for avata 2 a big hug my friend 👍👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Very good video, very useful. Can you use the RC2 with the Avata2 or do you have to buy the controller 3?
DJI wants you to buy the Remote Controller 3, so they made certain to not make the Remote Controller 3 compatible…. At this time.
Love your work. Thinking about this. FLYDrone Drone Airdrop System for DJI Avata 2, Drop Release for DJI Avata 2, Transport Release Accessories, Do you have any comments. TIA
Sorry, I have no knowledge of those items.
Steve, would the head tracking feature be more useful as a directional input Vs just looking around and going straight where you aren't looking????
Unfortunately no. The drone does not fly where you look.
hello Mr. Captain Drone.
thanx 4 the great review of avata 2. really useful. just want to ask, what is it there to recover u avata 2 from a fall.
Mine has crashed only once as shown in the video.
if it's upside down try turtle mode in the menu. If it's sitting up try restart on the motors. If none of that works then you have to do what is known as "The walk of shame!" and go get it. lol
Line of Sight. Great video tute, thanks.
Congrats for the fantastic tutorial!
Glad it was helpful!
Lol... My question was going to be "Do you have any videos showing the stick moves for the flips and drifts?" BUT I guess that's coming! Cool! I have the Avata 2 and tried it out the Remote 3 today, I need to find an open and empty space to get use to the Motion Controller though.
Stick moves are simply the one joystick on the motion controller. Just move it in the direction of your desired drift or flip
Uhh sorry, I meant stick moves with the RC 3.
@@frankc.9853Oh, you have to know how to fly in manual mode to do that. To flip forward, push the right joystick forward, etc.
finally your video! I just really want to have this!
+nice mustache
Thanks for showing the Gain Tuning for indoor flying. I was using Beginner Mode, which may have similar settings?
Beginner mode settings are a bit different
I own 4x dji avata 2 drones
Luv them!!
Just got the Remote Controller 3, haven’t tried it yet, not in a rush cuz having plenty of fun with motion controller for now. Great tips though! Wow! Still would like to screen capture like I can on the Mini 4 Pro. Any ideas? Post?
SCREEN CAPTURE is a PHONE thing, so you would do it on your phone connected to your goggles (all phones have screen capture).
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Okay great! Was wondering which app to try tot that other than DJI Fly…Will give it a try. Thanks!
What do you advise for beginners motion controller or manual mode?
The AVATA2 comes with the MOTION3 so that is what beginners will use. If a person was previously flying a DJI MINI or DJI MAVIC then they would prefer the REMOTE 3.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks I previously flew a mavic air 2 really good drone
Hey, I really want the DJI Avata 2 but the only problem is that I don’t have the budget to buy the combo with 3 batteries and the controller 3. Do you think that it’s a good idea to buy the combo with 1 battery and slowly buying batteries and the DJI controller 3 ? Thank you for your reviews ❤
Well I think after you do your first flight you’re gonna want more batteries and if you buy them individually it’s more expensive
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Oh ok, thank you and about the DJI controller 3, do you think it's a good idea to buy it later ?
@@fynnjanson3989yes, but later when you get tired of the motion 3

I wanna be able to do acro like the true fpv drones which do you think is better for like just stuaghr acro ajd freestyle and flips iver stuff and things like that
Avata 2 is more designed for newbies
awesome tutorial thank you!
You are most welcome!
you mentioned you have to activate it with the USB to USB cable and mobile , but my iphone is Lightning cable . does it come with a USB to lightning ??? or can I activate it through Wi-Fi . thanks 🙏
Lots of people are in your situation and they all figured it out. Use your own cable. You will figure it out quickly. DJI does not include the lighting cable.
Very nice flying. I fly a lot fpv with race drones and bought this one for filming. I cant handle the motion controller at all haha en put it away
Really enjoyed your video. New subscriber now, very nicely done!
Welcome aboard!
I'm planning to buy an Avata 2 it will be my first drone. Do you recommend this drone for beginners like me?
You are exactly the person the AVATA 2 was made for... people with zero skills.
18:25 Perhaps push the trigger forward after the drift, as in reverse flight🤔
I was waiting for this video :)
What are you referring to? Are you talking about the Picture in Picture? It is just a square as shown in this video.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I actually mean the feed from the drone inside the goggles I was expecting at least something close to full screen, but I’m getting about 80% of my fov. It’s still good, but it would be great to have a larger fov but
I’m pretty sure they kept it like this just to reduce any lag
@@GEOFFYCOLLECTIONSounds like you are not in 16:9
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 so what do you see in the goggles? Do you see a rectangular image of the view? Do you see black on top and bottom left and right? I did send it to 16 x 9 but I still see that. It’s a rectangular square surrounded by black.
@@GEOFFYCOLLECTIONMy entire rectangular image fills the screen. It sounds like you have just adjusted your viewing settings all wrong. Or… did you mistakenly put the prescription minus lenses on?
Just got mine🙌🏽
Great video . What happened to object avoidance. You didn’t mention anything about it.
I did mention twice during the video that there is no object avoidance.
