I expected the M1 Active to (or magnetic pickups in general) to work much better for strumming than for fingerpicking - as you said. But I found that at least in my OM-model the strumming sounds pretty thin and lackluster while the fingerpickings sounds surprisingly good. I guess it depends a lot on the guitar as well. Other than that the Anthem is definitely one of the best options you can get - it's no suprise that most high quality guitars that come with a pickup do have these installed. You're very flexible with the mixing to adapt to the guitar, your playing style and the surrounding.
This is the most annoying product advertisement I’ve seen in a while. Also, I don’t care how you try to gussy it up, a piezo pickup will never sound like an acoustic guitar is supposed to sound, enjoy the built in plastic emulator that comes with you guitar I guess.
Anthem for me!
The most comprehensive video regarding acoutic pickup systems. Thank you
Thanks for the info. Great video. The bridge plate is cool.
An SM57 is also a good 'pickup' :)
I love my Fishman Mic/Pickup blend systems ! Super versatile for different performance situations! Ended up liking Fishman over LR Baggs

Is the guitar sound direct or are you getting bleed from whatever mic is picking up your voice?
