@@wrtucey,yes I am not a snob but I do have an audiophile turntable and I like the fact that the red stylus would work well here, I say go for it. Do the red upgrade over the more expensive brown stylus. The diamond 💎 shapes are different on the stylus. The upcharge for the brown over the red (micro line) would not make too much difference in noticeable sound.
@@wrtucey,also I am not sure if you are aware to adjust the antiskate on the tonearm. You should not buy a new cartridge with the red stylus ,just get the red ml stylus by itself. Later you can get the at95 mono stylus for your current cartridge. Your arm is already set for the proper tracking angle out of the box, so remember the antiskate and you will not send it back. Good luck and enjoy your listening.😊
I may end up getting this instead of the Fluance Rt-85N for my first turntable. Seems like an easy set up and easy to use on a daily basis. Or so I hope.
I would consider the denon dp 300f, it is also available used as it is an older model. You get the same automatic turntable and Features as Shown plus upgradeable System (weight can be adjusted, System can be removed which cannot be done on Audio technica) and anti skate functionality. It also is Standard size (sale as 70x but not 60x) to any other hifi components and comes in Black or silver. It matches my Harman kardon vintage pm 645 perfectly. Only thing you dont get is the optional Bluetooth but of course you could add an external Transmitter and the cables are fixed and not detachable. I have to add that the denon does not have the arm lock, so if you move it a lot around it is a bit unpractical but no worry if you just leave it ständig somewhere fixed. I have it and I have to say it fits my Bill perfectly and I even upgrade it with a ortofon 2m red. Depends of you like the looks but alone from functionality the denon has everything you need for future upgrades if you want to try it out. I am very happy and I can report the automatic functionality is very convenient, albeit a bit slow sometimes (it's quick er to stop it manually than waiting for it to do it.) hope that helps and if you are not mega into the looks of the 70x, ID give the denon a look.
I recommend you go with this plan. I've had the Fluance 85n turntable for over one year now and I can't help to feel that I didn't quite do a good job on setting it up. if this table was out then, I would have pull the trigger on this. I still might for that entry level price. Happy listeninng.
Obviously.. if you’re buying a turntable with built in speakers you’re throwing away your money. Might as well listen to an old iPhone that you threw in a metal trash can playing a song through its mono speaker. It’s probably gonna be better sound quality than built in crosley speakers.
Im sorry but it never sits right with me when a turntable doesnt have a tone arm counterweight. Instead I have to trust that the manufacturer set the arm to the right weight so it won't damage my records? No way.
I am a snobby audiophile but I still think this is a fantastic machine, especially with the stylus upgrade path.
I have shaky hands, so I need the auto. Nice to hear even audiophiles appreciate this unit.

@@wrtucey,I have a denon 103r and the at 95 ml can musically hang with it.😊😊😊

@@gg.6967 Appreciate the great info!
just got this, and it sounds amazing.
Any issues with yours skipping?
@ nope. Works great.
Thanks for sharing your review-happy spinning!
That tonearm lock: My ancient BSR/Yorx does that automatically. The LP70X does seem somewhat quieter.
An upfront speed/pitch control would have been nice. Perhaps when the LP80X comes out in a few years.
Sounding great for the price! 😊

Minor price jump? It's double the price of the 60. In my country that's half a gorilla. Only bank robbers can afford that kind of gorilla.
Three polar bears, 12 ice blocks, and a tin of whale blubber up here in Canada.
So you need speakers for this?

Yup. This thing is skipping all over the place on me. Mad I can’t do anything to adjust it.
