I became a fan when I saw a random Facebook video of him shaking the umps hand and acknowledging the crowd during his first moment on the field as a major league ball player. I was lucky enough to see him in person at the Phillies v Orioles game this past Tuesday. He was right in front of me. I truly believe he is already a legend in the making.
Switch hitting catcher with a great swing and has a cannon arm! This guy is going to be a legend before he is done playing. Have an awesome career and have fun while doing it. I will be rooting for you the whole way.
Adley has it all he hits Homers, he has good throwing arm, stellar defense and is really fast for a guy playing as a catcher. He is without question a superstar in the making
I love watching these videos of a strong running hustling team. Compare that to the big money, bigger market teams, where their players become over paid prima donnas. it's fun seeing this team rebuild it's franchise.
Every time they play and they’re on TV I tell people my boyfriend is playing 😁 I’m a big Os fan, and I can’t believe we got so lucky to have Adley! He’s my favorite player!
I remember Mr.Rutschman 2022debut really impressive. To enjoy tactics relating to a lead and a pick-off-throw. As switch hitter, season score BA , 254 HR 13 RBI 42 OBP,362 OPS .866 My personal opinion wonderful rookie season in Baltimore. I exciting that SB prevention rate will be more . Fortunately, Mr.Rutschman birthday on 6th, February = Mr.Babe-Ruth birthday = My birthday 💞(with my great respect and special thanks my mother) Thank you MLB!!
The Orioles are gonna make the ALCS next year. Their core is just so scary and I say this as an Astros fan. Their game on 9/24/22 was probably the best game of the year outside of Atlanta vs Seattle.
@@YourMotherisdisappointedinyou It was in the 2nd half. Team ERA under 4. And it'll only get better as they get more experience. They have yet to call up their top prospect, and their 2nd best got one emergency start but was only called up in September to get bullpen innings. Plus Gibson is a dramatic upgrade over Lyles. Also the bullpen is just flat-out dominant, so they did what they did this year without a solid rotation. Maybe you forget the Orioles made the ALCS in 2014 with Chris Tillman as their ace.
Difinitely a natural hitter but as a former minor league player (JUCO All-American Outfielder), I can tell you this for sure; Adley Rutschman is the best pitch "framer" I have ever seen!
I hope Adley grows to calm his left handed swing. I know that the hitting coaches preach patience and then attack when the ball is in your comfort zone but that huge backswing makes me think he's trying to sell out for power rather than just trusting it. I think a calmer more quiet left handed swing would add 30 points to his batting average without sacrificing any power. Other than that gotta love everything Adley does
I know Adley hit .254 with 13 Hrs as rookie, that was with a month a half missed and a slow start. I think his career average after it's all said and done will look something like .285/.375/.475 with 25 home runs. Combine with his fielding that's going to draw HOF consideration.
Let's hope, as an O's fan, this isn't another SPARK in the clubhouse and he sticks around. I'm really really really really really TIRED of seeing All Stars leave this team. If only they could entice Buck to come back with this squad and Trey??!! Oh man. We would be ALCS bound 100%
My only hope is he keeps his calm demeanor and not catch the "superstar bug" like some others have (Harper, Machado). The future is bright in Birdland!
@@johnnylichenWhat else then? He only drove in 42 runs; he did score 70 runs, which is impressive. I think the kid is good but I agree with above, a lot of gushing.
He was a blast to watch this year. I think his presence on the team was the major turning point for the Os this season
The Yard was rockin' in 2022! Very bright future ahead, let's go O's!
2022 was a huge year for the Orioles. I can see another big year coming in 2023, and we should contend in coming years.
The fact that he has an argument for Top 3-5 Catcher right off the bat is staggering.
that list will shrink to top 1 soon enough
Adley is amazing but to be fair to that top 5 the league was historically bad offensively at the C position last year
@@Dichotomic_King martin Maldonado obviously the best

To think that two of the three AL Rookie of the Year finalists came out of Oregon State. Go Beavers.
