When Jack Wexler went missing from the world, one by one, his friends knew what had likely happened to him- and believed he wasn't coming back. The only one left clinging to hope through everyone else's grief was Xavier McKendrick, because when you've lost a large number of people in your life, it's hard to accept the truth- especially when there are breadcrumbs saying otherwise.
Only after a year goes by does Xavier finally accept what his friends have been telling him, and when he does so, it's revealed he was right all along.
HIIIIIIII EVERYONE HERE'S A REALLY REALLY SAD ANIMATIC!!!! Like I said in the video, don't worry- this isn't canon to KC!! This takes place in the Deck universe, which is an rp my bud is hosting :D. It's been really fun so far, but something that we keep bouncing around is how our character's friends and family would react to them going missing, and I realized that Xavier's reaction would be EXTREMELY upsetting. So I'm spreading the torture of that information! The Deck is still going, so technically I don't know how their canon reunion will go yet, but I have a billion ideas for it!
In this animatic I also included @collabwithself s character, Sera! Who was the friend of his character in the campaign, Tower, and is in a similar boat to Xavier- the two meet online while trying to investigate their friends dissapearances- because the fact that the both of them went missing the same night the Moon disappeared could NOT be a coincidence. So the two start theorizing together, despite both their friends worrying and disagreeing.
This was supposed to be just a quick little thing but ended up taking me a week or so bc I got sick in the middle of it lmao...BUT HERE YOU GUYS GO!!!!

Thanks bud! This is really sweet :D When I was younger, I was the same way- I sometimes still am with a lot of more professional animators! My advice is to practice and learn- I know everyone says "practice" but what helped ME was learning to draw *fast!* Even if it doesn't look very good- you can always go back and refine things. Learning things like line of action or silhouettes is very helpful as well- as well as draw a concept your head is stuck on! That's how I do most my animations lol :3
@@randomgooberness well then I wish I had more motivation to be as good as you lol. I’m more interested in playing games, but watching animations on RUclips is a favorite past time of mine. I would like to express emotions like an artist, except I don’t find creating art to be satisfying enough to learn how to be good at it
