Da kommt ein bisschen Wehmut auf. Am 19.03.1987 war ich im PC69 in Bielefeld. Hier war Overkill die Vorgruppe von Helloween."Keeper of the Seven Keys" war für mich der Startpunkt in die Heavy Metal Szene Die 80er, eine geile Zeit! There comes up a bit of melancholy. On 19.03.1987 I was at the PC69 in Bielefeld. Here Overkill was the supporting band of Helloween. "Keeper of the Seven Keys" was for me the starting point into the heavy metal scene. The 80s, a awesome time!
he's really good !!! Markus and Steve Harris are my two favourites at the same level for me. Maybe Markus is technically better, i only have to try some Helloween song but they are really fast for my right hand without a pick,i have to admit ;)
Listen to Enforcer, Skull Fist, Night demon, and bands of the New wave of traditional heavy metal, they have the sound and in better sound quality, it's just they're not that popular.
I watch this and after I watch those Helloween's Wacken Live Videos.. OMG WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? Helloween with Kai and Kiske it was awesome! They were just feeling like they were the greatest heavy metal band of all the times.
Kiske was a David Lee Roth/Axl Rose type mental case and Kai bolted unlike other guitarists who do all the work and put up with brain scrambled singers. It also didn't help that they weren't prepared for success businesswise. One of the guy's mother was actual their manager and she was in over her head once they started to sniff success, which led to their legal battle with the record company. It's to bad because with all that said Kiske was the PERFECT singer and they were 1 more break away from becoming every bit as big as a band like Metallica, Kiss etc.
I discovered not only this band but metal as a whole on the same night. I went with my best friend to his parents friends backyard Alice In Chains themed wedding/halloween party in a suburb of Minneapolis. In the after party there was a party in the garage with a metal playlist playing, when that intro to Halloween by Helloween came on my face straight up melted. I was maybe 12 at the time and had never heard anything like it. So I made it my mission to find out what it was with the trusty shazam app and now here we are a decade later and this band still kicks ass. I go to find a live version from back in the day of this song and low and behold the first one I come across was filmed right in my hometown in the 80s. One of my uncles is a huge metal head that would go to any concert he could, Id have to ask him if he possibly went to this show. I’ve heard stories about him being 14 and going to a Slayer concert for the first time and he came from a very catholic household and genuinely didn’t know about the satanic imagery and was a bit shocked by it. He’s still a church going guy but you’ll hear him blasting any and all thrash on the way to church. Lamb of God was the opener for that concert too.
Thanks for uploading this gem!!! I always wanted to see the original line up do Halloween live!!! When I saw them back in the 80's they did not play this fantastic tune...!?! :(
Just saw Helloween in the Cities. Kiske's voice has aged like fine wine. Every time I heard him sing I had to do a double take to make sure I wasn't listening to an album recording
@@manahatizamorano8942 mmm have my doubts about him being the best, Timo from Stratovarious was better in my opinion, also Spanish singer Jose Andrea was just much better in his prime, Kiske is the one who preserved much better his voice because he didn't make a single live show in 20 years, while the rest were destroying their choices during that time (that includes Deris)
@@manahatizamorano8942 he did like 6 albums during those 20 years, but not a single live show, or show me a single photo or video of him live from 94-2009, the same period when both Helloween and Strato were in their most active part of their careers, those years damaged Deris and Timo's voices
El tema Eagle Fly Free NO fue un éxito cuando salió el álbum Keeper Of The Seven Keys parte 2. Temas como Twlight Of The Gods o March In Time apenas los tocan, debido a que los hizo Hansen.
Helloween are an amazing band, into them since 85, imagine Michael Kiske was only 17 or 18 when he recorded this song... I was the same age at the time and was blown away by the Keeper albums. Now their even better with Kiske and Hansen back....
Helloween was so far ahead of their time the crowd didn't know how to respond...just like UFO in the late 70's...Kiske and Hansen are classic though \m/
It's funny. I used to describe Helloween as Iron Maiden on speed. I love both bands. I saw Helloween I think in 87 here in Phoenix. Very small place. Maryvale Pride Pavillion. They opened for Exodus and I think Anthrax. Have to pull my ticket stub out. I was there just for Helloween, the song Halloween had just hit MTV. Great show. I wasn't into moshing, so when the next band came on I left. Wish I had stayed now.
I finally got around to getting my ticket stub out. It was April of 89. I really thought it was before that. But yeah, Headbanger's Ball tour. 30 effn years ago. I feel so old. Will be 60 in just over a week.
@@russelosborne246 Damn! Then you experienced Helloween during Keeper II, at their absolute peak!? That's some good stuff there. Something I would've loved to have in memory whenever I get to 60 myself 😄
His voice is incredible. It's amazing!!!
Michael kiske is a legend!!
Wow, this is truly live and Kiske's voice is above unbelievable!
