    17:22 Those "baby waby" planters ..NEVER sell . They came from florist shops when people had babies and someone sent flowers . Funny that they are over 50 years old and they STILL TURN UP EVERYWHERE like they were made in 2017.

      I am soooo picky when it comes to tupperware lol like Joe said I feel like some of it sits and doesn't sell for crazy amounts. I do think it is some peoples 'bread and butter' items. Personally though there are only certain pieces I tend to look out for.

    Michelle, what is the ice cream cone looking thing on the ceiling of your car?

    • @shellbelle
      @shellbelle  2 года назад

      it is a bath & body works scentportable air freshener. So funny story. The other day it got super hot and I went to put up my visor and the fragrance started leaking out alllll over my car seat. I guess it got too hot and melted it somehow. The only downfall to them, otherwise they are really cute and make the car smell nice!

      @@shellbelle thanks for the info. It is really cute unfortunately I can’t use any bath and body works products, something in them makes my nose really itchy and I get brutal headaches from their products.

    I don't know if you've ever mentioned this, but I'm curious...do you set a budget for the day when you go to Yard/Rummage Sales? If it were me, I would go over budget every single time, lol.

    • @shellbelle
      @shellbelle  2 года назад +2

      Not really lol typically it's around $200 and that can last me from thursday until saturday which is kinda awesome. But then there are some weeks where I need to pull more because the sales are just crazy good. Like last week I got first dibs on a yard sale of a lady who had vintage cabbage patch kids dolls, clothing, etc brand new still in boxes. I also bought a bunch of vintage toys at her sale like care bears, poochie, etc. Literally bought all of her CPK stuff so I had to get more money out the following day. But typically I can do a whole three days on $200 and sometimes have money left over.

    As for the Yeti tumblers, the fakes weigh less and the tops have a blue tint, as well as lack of frosted letters. If it was a new cup, the wrappers would have differences as well.

    Thanks for all your videos. So interesting. And helpful. Do you have a go pro? Would be so much easier than holding an actual camera. Just wondered. You always find the greatest items

    • @shellbelle

      I do have a go pro. The camera that I had been using actually stopped working. I think the only footage video I've uploaded so far using it was the last church sale I went to. I still have footage videos from my old camera to get through but I will mention it the very first day I used it lol it is a little easier. I still do hold it, like a selfie type stick. I have a harness thing but I'm always scared it won't be facing right and you'll just see my feet. I notice that a lot with other people who use them and don't hold them. lol

    18:35 Oh no. The dreaded Ebay print out at a yard sale . Like we all need an education - coming from an uneducated seller . I always take offense to these !! And it's only $24.00 and not sold. LOL. I'd rip the piece of paper up right there.

    • @shellbelle

      I went to a sale last week where a lady was talking to Eric and I and she said about all the great things she has inside her house worth money but she isn't going to sell them at her yard sale because she doesn't want dealers buying it to sell for more. I suppose she thought Eric and I don't look like dealers lol We told her her best bet is to call an auction house. She was an elderly lady so I suppose she might have had some good things in her home but literally nothing out at her sale was worth a penny lol people can do whatever they'd like. I don't take offense to it but it does make me giggle a bit. People who don't resell don't understand the time and effort that goes into it. They think we just buy something and list it and money falls into our hands. The hours of sourcing, listing, taking pictures, cleaning, shipping, dealing with returns/rude people/items breaking in the mail, etc. It's a lot of work. Also I'm not sure how other resellers are at yard sales but if you got good stuff and I know there is meat on the bone for me to make profit I will spend hundreds of dollars at your sale. Case in point just last week I went to a sale where I bought a ton of vintage CPK dolls and CPK clothing and other vintage toys from a lady. She knew some of what she had because she would say things like 'well I looked that one up' BUT she still gave me great deals so there is plenty for me to make to resell plus she made what she wanted to get.

      @@shellbelle I source from a local flea market weekly. If I showed my face on RUclips - then all the vendors saw me- it would be the END of me buying a vintage keychain for $1.00 and selling it for $24.00 .
