I had a couple of thoughts on Part 1 of the video since uploading it. First of all, while I'm not particularly insistent on Hush being a main villain, as I think the character in the comics is rather overrated, I do think a version of him could play a great role in Bruce's arc in Part 2 if Thomas Elliot becomes obsessed with getting revenge for his father's death after learning the truth about it from the Riddler, taking inspiration from the Riddler as he targets Bruce Wayne. This would force Bruce to take responsibility for his father's actions and further motivate him to rebuild his family's name by doing good with the company he inherited. Secondly, I'm sure if the Court have been keeping the major crime families in power and ruling through them, that Penguin would probably find himself on their hit list as well, so maybe he and Batman would team up to take them down. Just a couple thoughts. Now share yours!
I would like to see Lucious Fox as well, though I imagine he'd probably just be helping him run and investigate his company rather than supplying him with tech. Either way, he is a great character!
I'd love the Scarecrow again. With the Penguin focusing on a new drug created in Arkham, I feel it's all the more likely. Dr. Crane creating and then later tainting a street drug with his fear toxin is an easy and cool take, that this universe has already setup twice over. I think it would work great. I feel they can keep him contained to the Arkham spinoff mini series. The haunted house style one that's been teased by Reeves would be perfect. And Batman shows up in like the final 2 episodes. That'd be sick. But the Harvey Dent Spinoff sounded cool. I'd rather not get a Catwoman spinoff, as any spinoffs after the penguin Id hope to get a villain. There are too many villains I'd love to see in this universe. Clayface (Using prosthetics like an actor would), Hush, Mr. Freeze, and so many more.
I think that's exactly what Calyface would be like if he appears! I'm not sure exactly if or how I'd like to see Scarecrow, but the Penguin show has definitely gotten me thinking about him as well. I don't think the Arkham show is happening, as Matt let James Gunn take the idea to use for the DCU, and he then abandoned it as well. But it would be cool.
@angeldelgado7120 Thanks! There's a lot of thoughts I've had on other possibilities that have been teased and storylines I think would be cool, but this is just covering the things I think would be most essential. I found most people pitching sequel ideas are just throwing out every idea they have for a Batman movie they would love without really thinking about what Matt Reeves wants to do, so that's what I was trying to do here. I appreciate the comment!
@@KoenJude-tn7br I could certainly imagine them all playing very minor roles in this universe, but I don't see them being major villains. I'm just predicting the most natural continuation of Batman's arc and the villains that would best facilitate that.
I highly doubt he'd be a primary antagonist, especially in the second film since that would feel very reminiscent of TDK, but I'm less worried about just doing villains who haven't already been depicted and more concerned with who would be best for this Batman, both in terms of fitting the tone and challenging the character. And I do think Two-Face could be great if handled right so as not to feel like a rehash.

I hope Mr. Freeze is the villain in this universe he could definitely work in this universe. They wouldn't need to change much about his origin. I mean if Batman can have unrealistic tech so can his villains.
I personally don't understand the insistence with having Freeze in the sequels, as he doesn't seem like he'd fit in or have much of a role to play in this world of crime and corruption. However, if Matt Reeves decided to use him, I'm sure he'd use him well. There's ways you could ground all these characters, though Clayface and Ivy would be drastically different. Clayface could be a professional spy or impersonater who uses prosthetics and acting to disguise himself and play many different roles, selling his services to bigger bad guys, and Ivy could just use seduction and her deep knowledge of plant-based poisons to infiltrate and murder her way to her goals, her psychic connection to plant life being entirely delusional, hence her incarceration in Arkham.

I see what you're getting at, and if it were to get into the fantastical, that would be the way to go about it. That's what I loved about Snyder's approach, there were certainly plenty of fantastical elements to his universe, but it was set in a very grounded world that reacted appropriately. However, Matt Reeves recently made it abundantly clear that there will never be any completely fantastical parts of his world, so I don't expect it to happen. Fortunately, James Gunn will be providing you with all the fantastical elements of Batman's universe in the DCU, so between these two visions, we should be getting the best of both worlds.
Killer croc isn’t that fantastical. The original version of the character is just a big brute with a skin condition that gives him scales. Joker in reeves verse also has a congenital smile and is born with chalked white skin. It’s not too far fetched to have croc
An identity theft villain would fit perfect as the main focus villain. It helps develop Bruce’s arc in trying to find balance in his persona. Challenging him to find his own identity. I know Court of Owls is a very fitting and safe bet, but I think Hugo Strange is the perfect fit as an overarching villain based on what’s been established so far. I think you’re on point with Selina Kyle. A Catwoman spin-off with Holly Robinson would be good because it can serve as a redemption arc for Selina after she lost Annika in Part 1.
Are you thinking Hush as the identity theft villain?
